Did you say treats? Aster sure hopes so! Aster came to PAWS with her litter of kittens and was a fantastic momma, but now that her kittens are adopted, she’s looking for a home of her own (hopefully one with some Temptations treats)! Aster can be laid back and is happy to sit next to you and purr or get a little frisky with a catnip toy or play chase with another cat – this versatile lady likes it all.  She takes a little while to warm up, but is happy to explore and meet new people and animals – she’s been around both dogs and cats in her foster home and would do great in a home where she might have some other animal friends to play with. Age:1-2 years How I came to PAWS:Stray Animal ID#: A43254489 Location:FosterCare .  Little Charlie seeks a family and home all his own! Charlie can be a bit slow to warm up, and could use some more help adjusting to the world. He is nervous with new places and people, and wants a low-key home to settle in and snuggle, worry free.  In a PAWS' foster home, Charlie is learning to be more at ease with new people and surroundings, he's regaining confidence bit by bit. He needs someone to coach him through some confidence training and socialize him to any new people he meets. Charlie would prefer to be the only pup in an calm, adult-only home.  Chompers is a very special cat in need of a very special home! He is an absolute joy to have around, just has slightly limited mobility and may need an extra hand here and there as he explores. He loves attention and is content to sit with you on your bed or couch and purr up a storm as you pet his super soft fur! He keeps himself occupied fairly well, likes playing with his little stuffed mouse toy and lounging as he watches the world go by.  Chomper has suspected Cerebella Hypoplasia (CH)- or "wobbly cat syndrome." Cats are born with this condition, and it will affect him for life without getting worse or better. CH occurs in-utero when the part of a cat's brain that controls motion isn't fully developed by the time they are born. Some cats have very light forms of CH, while others will be extra wobbly! Chompers is somewhere in the middle- he generally can get around just fine, but sometimes needs a little help when trying to jump in bed, for example. He can navigate small steps, but would do best without access to full stair cases, to keep him safe (he can go up, but getting down is much tougher and less safe). He has learned to improvise well with this slight limitation, but he does not climb much, rarely uses his claws (only on a scratching post, never in play) and generally just loves to take things easy and hang around his people. Chompers likes short cat trees, and loves his scratching posts. CH cats generally have an easier time in carpeted areas, but while his mobility is technically limited he has few issues getting around his foster home. He does have some sensitivity toward his lower back that prompts him to roll over when touched there, so an adults-only home may be a better match for him. He would be content with a family that's around a lot (even older or retired folks!) to give him attention, but who can be very mindful of his condition and help him out should he get stuck somewhere.  PAWS has done several diagnostics on Chompers, and he looks pretty healthy besides having CH. But if someone wanted to look further into the condition at their own vet, they are welcome to! Chompers still appears to have a great quality of life and doesn't think there is anything 'wrong' with him- he still lives his life to the fullest!  Christopher is a shy but very affectionate guy. When his foster dad gets home, Christopher's order of priorities is (1) head scratches, nuzzles, and back scratches, (2) more scratches and maybe some rolling around, then finally (3) eat some food.  A sassy but loving calico lady! Meet Duckie! This little lady is a great example of calico "cattitude". She greets her foster mom by showing off her adorable belly, but won't hesitate to give you a gentle slap to let you know it's time to "look but don't touch". Of course, she reserves the right to rub up against you as much as she wants! Although she's independent, she really enjoys being around her people and will voice her displeasure when separated! Even as an adult, Duckie has a lot of energy and loves to play with dangling toys - her foster mom is hopeful that after a slow introduction she could learn to get along with another playful cat, but suspects that she would be just as happy being the queen of the castle.   Age: 6 years How I came to PAWS: Found stray Animal ID#: A42823037 I am not at the shelter.  A sensitive pirate kitten with lots of love to give! Eamon started out as a shy guy who has really come into his own. He always feels more confident with his sister by his side and would love to be adopted with her (Triss A43589331). Some of Eamon’s favorite activities include wresting with his sister, purring, nose boops, wet food breakfast, and cuddling. Eamon can be initially shy but is very social and currently lives with adult cats and respectful dogs. He would do best in a home with a friend- preferably his sister. Eamon is constantly purring and seeking love from those he trusts. He might need a day to get to know you but once he does it’s purr and belly rubs time. Eamon was born with a malformed eye that was removed when he was neutered, it in no way effects the quality of his life. Eamon is ready for a home of his own, preference will be given to those who wish to adopt him and his sister together.  Age: 4 months How I came to PAWS: found stray Animal ID#: A43589317 I am not at the shelter.  Frank is a handsome boy who just wants all the head scratches you can give! Pet his soft cheeks, and Frank will fill your home with purring. Within a day of arriving at his foster home, Frank was exploring every corner and following his foster mom around to ask for pets. Frank also enjoys honing his chasing and pouncing skills with his toys and then curling up by your side for a rest. Because his teeth have been extracted, Frank will need a diet of soft food. Come meet this friendly, fun cat! Age: 5-6 years How I came to PAWS: Found stray Animal ID#: A43628119 I am not at the shelter.  A beauty to behold! Let this girl's charms enchant you! Intrigued? Come and meet miss Gigi - a snow-white beauty with brown tabby speckles and striking green eyes. Joan quickly warms up to some pets and attention, snuggling in for a chin rub or a good scratch. This girl has a lot to offer the right home- she's a good blend of calm and playful, though she tends to lean more on the playful side! While generally sweet and calm, she can be sassy. A home where she can shine as the only pet for her adult/teen companions would suit her just fine. Will this green-eyed girl capture your heart?
