About Turtle

Turtle (slowly coming out of his shell...) was part of a 25 dog hoard brought into the shelter in a U-Haul when the former owners lost their home. Due to his past, he is learning to trust humans slowly. He is in foster and beginning to socialize with the two-legged part of life. He has already shown progress, making eye contact and starting to follow his human friends - truly wants to be with people he trusts. He has had no accidents in the house, and starting to learn how leash walking can be fun. If you would love to be a part of his coming out to the real world, and help him complete his successful transformation, please email us at A super sweet fellow at 3 years, 15 lbs, ready to receive some real human love, he would do well in a home with a small yard, and lots of love and patience to continue his socialization into his new world.

THIS IS A GUEST POST: Please contact directly if interested in meeting this adoptable pup. Magic is a super sweet boy who is super friendly with people, and is very gentle with all humans. He would be great with older children 13+. If he were in a room with 15 people, he would be the life of the party, showering everyone with his smile, affection and kisses!!! He loves nothing more than to be next to his favorite humans' side and also understands when to give them space. Some of his favorite things to pass the time include eating, getting pets and massages, sunbathing, and grooving to reggae music. He's a quiet soul, rarely barks and does not have any destructive tendencies. He has medium to low energy with a very chill personality, so wouldn't mind a couch potato friend, but also can enjoy his regular walks. His past spinal injury has not kept him from any activity, but because he is a mellow fellow, couching the potato is not a bad pasttime for him. Magic would do very well in either a home with a yard or a condo or an apartment, and someone who can keep him on a regular feeding and walking schedule. He also would be best as the only dog in the home - no cats. Routine activity is beneficial to keeping him on a regular regimen post-spinal injury. And minimal activity is fine for this big boy. He would be a fantastic loving constant companion for anyone!!! If interested in learning more or meeting this fine boy, please contact: show less
