Apricot is a protective tripod who looks out for the household, while her curiosity gets her into some mischief! Apricot is a protective girl who looks out for the household while her curiosity gets her into some mischief. She keeps to herself until she wants attention, and she will alert you that it's time to give her neck and chin scritches with her sweet little voice. She thrives in an environment that's calm and quiet with not too much activity. She likes to find new and exciting places to lay down, such as on a sweater on the floor or a pile of newspapers, so that she can comfortably watch over you. Apricot has met a lizard and a fish without any kind of conflict, but has never been socialized with another cat or a dog. You can also count on her to keep your sleep schedule regular as she always alerts you when it's time to go to bed.  These adorable teen kittens will brighten up your life!  Artie (domed head & darker coat) and Gilbert (lighter coat) are both very curious and love exploring and will quickly make themselves at home. They love playing with each other and, of course, with people --especially when there are lasers, feather wands, or robotic mice involved. And while they do have a typical case of kitten zoomies, they also love to curl up and take daily nappies and window gaze. They are huge fans of head and neck scratches. And they have no problem reciprocating their affection for you with the cutest meows and trills --you will find no shortage of daily purring or slow blinks from them. This lively pair would do best in a home where goofy and energetic cats are loved, and a pet parent can spend time playing with them and giving them affection. They have no problem with children, especially ones who would love to play with them! If you are interested in seeing their cuteness in action, check them out on instagram at @artieandgilbert Age: 6 months How I came to PAWS: rescued from city shelter Animal ID#: Artie (A 48229 ) & Gilbert (A48228) These cats are not at the shelter.  Looking for a sweet, affectionate quarantine partner? Here are 5 reasons why Bubble Guppy is the pet of your dreams! 1) Bubble Guppy is the biggest cuddle buddy of all time! Head scratches make him purr so much, and he’s happy to hang out with you all day and night. You’ll love it when he takes naps on your lap because his little snores are the cutest thing in the entire world! 2) When he isn’t cuddling with you, Bubble Guppy loves to play! Chasing balls and feathers on sticks are his favorites, and the exercise helps him stay in shape. Playtime with this guy is such a fun pastime during the pandemic. 3) Bubble Guppy is extremely social with everyone! He’s so friendly with strangers, and everyone immediately falls in love with him. He’d be great for a home with kids too– he loves all the attention he can get! 4) Bubble Guppy is the most well-behaved cat you will ever meet! He never gets frisky (he’s just protective of his belly!) and he’s very obedient– he’s even learning how to sit now! Bubble Guppy would be best for first-time pet owners or homes without other cats since he loves getting all the attention to himself. 5) And finally, Bubble Guppy’s health is in great shape! He may need dental work done in the future, but you won’t have to worry about any other major issues. Bubble Guppy is absolutely perfect the way he is, but he is a chubby boy– he’s currently on a diet to shed off a few of those extra pounds. Bubble Guppy is so excited to meet you and show you all the love and affection he’s given us!  Age: 10 years How I came to PAWS: Owner passed away Animal ID#: A48096 I am not at the shelter.  I'm a fierce black panther! (So I think.) Meet Cardamom, lovingly nicknamed Cardi B by foster mom. She is a loving, playful cat who is an expert biscuit-maker. This little lady has been through the ringer medically and is finally ready for her forever home! She most likely has asthma and may need some medical attention in the future. But for now she is a happy, active cat letting nothing stand in her way. Miss chatty catty loves to use her voice for any and all reasons, whether that’s to ask for breakfast, to greet you when you get home, or to sing with the birds! When she’s not chirping, she’s purring, especially when she gets her ear and under her chin rubbed. Cardi loves to play, but does get out of breath easily... so easy does it when choosing her toys.  Looking for a playful ginger fellow that loves people and needs better playmates? Chief Brody is on the case! Chief Brody loves to explore and will investigate every nook and cranny of your house. We're not sure what's he's searching for, but he's very thorough and will leave no stone unturned until he finds what he's looking for! We really can't say enough good things about this handsome, young guy. Chief Brody is an easy going, playful cat. He loves a laser pointer and will happily tear up and down the stairs after that maddening little dot. He also loves feather toys and anything he can hunt down. Chief Brody was returned from his original adopter because he had too much energy for the resident cat, so he would also love a home with a confident playmate or two to help keep him in line and run off some of that teenage boy-energy, When Brody is off duty, he'd love to curl up in your lap and snuggle for awhile, if that's ok.  Criss Cross Apple Sauce looooves nothing more than a relaxing day filled with pets. She is the sweetest older cat you could ask for! She is super people-friendly, and especially loves to roll around on her back to receive chin and belly scratches. She’s also independent and likes to spend alone time cuddled up with a blanket. She really is the best of both worlds! Criss Cross is very quiet and laid back! She's not overly playful, so a mellow and loving home with no other animals would be best for this sleepy girl. She’s a little clumsy because her eyesight isn’t perfect, but everyone who meets her falls in love.  Delilah is a easy-going and loving cat! She always makes a purring sound whenever you are around and answers to your questions with funny chirping noises. When I call her name, she almost says "yeah" She loves a chin rub and head scratches. She is a cuddly and gentle cat. She loves to sleep in a fluffy bed or a couch but also loves to sleep on your lap. When you call her name, she meows back and finds you! She respects your space but she loves to be near you. At first, I thought she preferred her space but it was her way of respecting my space! Once I asked her to sit on my lap, it is now very important 30 minutes of our daily routine. If you let her sit on your lap, it will become your routine. She is very good with people. However, she would trhive in a home where she can shine as an only pet! She is currently on a hypoallergenic diet. If you enjoy a cuddling time with sweet purring sound, you'll immediately fall in love with Delilah!  Age: 13 How I came to PAWS: Family Moving Animal ID#: A47750 This cat is not at the shelter.   Gilligan is steering his way straight to your heart! With his goofy grin and gregarious personality, it's hard to believe Gilligan was found on the city streets. He's an older guy that's bouncy and playful, full of energy and enthusiasm. Gilligan enjoys morning jogs and outdoor adventures, but also knows how to settle down for relaxed couch time at the end of a fun day. Gilligan will be a great fit for a dog-experienced household that enjoys staying active and having fun as much as he does!
