About Ginger

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. She was an SVPP favorite within hours of arriving in her foster home! Ginger is a sweet and charming gal, with a penchant for serious snuggles and the odd weekend hike. She loves playing with toys, gets along well with other dogs, ignores kitties, and LOVES kids. Her best life involves a home with another dog (or two!) in it.  It's hard to explain with words just how sweet and charming she is... you'll just need to come meet her yourself! Ginger is 6-7 years old and roughly 12 pounds- just the right size and age for snuggling! Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetprojectVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. While SVPP strongly believes that most domestic kitties will live longer and healthier lives indoors, we occasionally encounter kitties better suited to a life with a little more freedom.  Sometimes these are older kittens that were captured past the prime time to socialize them and they're not as friendly as we had hoped they'd become. Others are adults that have had outdoor lives previously and are truly struggling to acclimate to a life indoors. Some are truly feral and need to be relocated from their original territory.  Many of these kitties believe strongly in being seen, but not touched. In exchange for food and access to shelter, they'll keep rodents out of your garage and yard. They'll provide passive companionship as you relax on your patio or in your yard, content to lounge in the sun.  Our commitment to their healthcare is the same: all cats will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV/FeLV, treated for fleas and other parasites, and microchipped. We ask that guardians seeking a feline for their garden, yard, shop, barn, porch, or garage be willing to provide shelter, food, water, and basic veterinary care. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. show less

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pistachio's got all the get up and go you could possibly need. He's happy to hike and bike all day long. He's housetrained and crate trained, but definitely needs an active and attentive home. He can be a little shy with strangers and will require an attentive and thoughtful handler to keep "shy" from becoming reactive or fearful. He can be successful in a home with a traditional 40 hour work week, so long as an you're ready to spend some quality time with him before and after work! He's got puppy energy and can be mouthy and bouncy. He loves playing tug and we think he's got great potential for dog sports- agility? rally obedience? nosework? The sky's the limit! He plays well with other dogs, but can be a little intense for elderly dogs or cats that aren't familiar with dogs. We don't think a placement with kids under the age of 12 is a good fit.  He currently weighs 35 lbs at 8-10 months of age, but will likely mature to 40-45 lbs as he grows. His breed mix is anyone's guess, but there may be some cattle dog or some american staffordshire terrier in there too!  He's mastering loose leash walking- hiking with this boy is a dream! He knows "sit" and "down" and takes treats politely.  He's developed a nice "off switch" in the house and will curl up on his dog bed and relax happily with you while you're watching netflix.    Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetprojectVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. show less

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rex is a sweet, mellow, and easy to handle toothless kitty! Rex lost all his teeth to Stomatitis, a common mouth and gum disease.  He currently takes a dose of medication every other day to keep his mouth happy and healthy. He's polite about taking his medication and it's inexpensive (less than $5 per month).  These days he loves grain-free canned food – chowing down with gusto… ;)) He responds when he’s called, and drools when he gets petted because he enjoys this so much.  Rex will charm you once he gets to know you. We think he'd be happiest in a quieter home- probably no unruly dogs or rambunctious young cats.  It’s true that handsome Rex had a rough start in life living on the streets of San Jose and all that entails. But now that he got a second chance and found people that believed in him, his future is bright.  Would you like to make a difference in Rex’s life, and give his story the happy ending he deserves?  Prior to adoption, all cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, and microchipped.
