Can you say CUDDLEBUG?! Boone loves other dogs and humans, and he does not have a mean bone in his body. He still needs to learn some manners, but 95% of time he can distinguish between what he can chew (toys) and what is off limits. When he gets something that’s not ok to chew, his Foster mom tells him no, takes it away, and he never chews it again. He walks well on a leash and doesn’t pull, but he likes to stop and smell everything. He also loves to play fetch. We think the ideal home for him would probably be an active one where the people take him for frequent walks and play with him. Another dog would probably be great, and kids too (he hasn't been introduced to small dogs or young kids, but we think would be ok with both). He has not been cat tested but hasn't been reactive to cats at the vets office. We think Boone is 2-3 years old and weighs about 50 lbs. He's a little taller than a Beagle, but shorter than a Walker Hound. He is neutered and UTD on vaccinations. Boone is heartworm positive, but FUR will cover 100% of the cost of his heartworm treatment at one of our participating vets. If you are interested in learning more about this dog, please complete an application by visiting http://www.floridaurgentrescue.com/adopt. Please note that submitted applications will be given priority over inquiries. We receive many inquiries, and may not be able to answer them in a timely manner. We start all of our adoptions with a one week sleepover to ensure a good fit for everyone. The adoption fee for dogs 6 months of age and over is $150; this includes the spay or neuter, rabies, microchip, and up to date vaccinations as of the date of adoption. show less

Name: Buddy Occupation: Professional Ball Fetcher Favorite Quote: “Play hard, sleep harder” Hobbies and Interests: -chasing balls -kiddie pool splash sessions -fetching balls -bird watching -retrieving balls -balls Hey there! I’m Buddy, but my foster parents call me “splooty booty” because of the way I lay with my legs out. I’ve tried telling them it’s a camouflage technique that I have worked very hard on to fool the frogs into thinking I am one of them, but they just tell me it’s cute. I much prefer my other nickname, “#1 Handsome Man”, which they call me for obvious reasons! I am totally #TeamGretchen, because we WILL make “fetch” happen! I love to stay active by playing with my humans in the fenced yard, and going for long walks and hikes where I can sniff all of the smells!! Car rides can be equally as exciting; I love feeling the fresh air on my nose (safety first though!). But after a busy day of playing, there is nothing better than snuggling up with my humans for a solid night of sleep. I like to take it slow when meeting new people. But once they’ve won me over with some tasty treats, and have proven that they are worthy fetch players, we are bffs! At only 5 years old, I am in my prime and looking for the perfect humans to love forever. I’d prefer not to share the attention with any human children, but other four legged family members are just fine! Please fill out an application so I can get to know you and just maybe we can make “fetch” happen together! If you are interested in making fetch happen with Buddy, please complete an application by visiting http://www.floridaurgentrescue.com/adopt We start all of our adoptions with a one week sleepover to ensure a good fit for everyone. Finn is a sweet hound mix that is good with kids, dogs, and cats! He is an all around mellow, loving boy. Here's what his foster says about sweet Finnick: "He is about two years old. Gorgeous. Hound but he is not into tracking like a beagle and gun shot scares him (thanks gun shooting neighbors) He has a beautiful bugle. Joyful, playful. fun loving. He gets along with other animals and he likes kids. Sometimes a little shy, he had a powerful sweet moment last weekend with a young boy whose dog passed away and Finn sweetly nudge the boy and was gently loving on him and they shared a hug and love. So, Great Dog needs home. He weighs about 45 pounds. Easy to walk. Easy going wonderful dog." Luna is a very special girl that needs a special adopter (or foster!). Luna was found with shotgun wounds that have damaged her sacrum. She will need an adopter or foster that will be home the majority of the day to assist with medical needs. Luna is a sweet and beautiful girl in need of a special adopter (or foster until she finds the perfect forever home.) She loves other dogs and older children. She seems to be ok with cats but we don't know about younger children yet. As you can see from the pictures she is quite the lovebug! She is special needs due to some shotgun wounds to her sacrum. She needs an adopter/foster that will be home most of the day and preferably another furry sibling to play with! Luna was found with shotgun wounds that have damaged her sacrum. She is able to walk normally but she will need help with pottying and clean-up several times a day. Oreo is a sweet, friendly, cuddly cat dreaming of finding her furever home. She is very easygoing, friendly and affectionate, and she loves curling up in a good drawer. She's just an all around sweet, friendly, affectionate cat who is going to make someone very lucky! She gets along with other cats, as well as dogs. Adopt one cat/kitten and get a 2nd one for ½ fee. Felines do better in pairs or even more than two. Some of our kitties are bonded pairs and will need to go together to their purrrfect home. Of course if you only want to adopt one then we also have kitties who can be adopted alone. We start all of our adoptions with a one week sleepover, so you know everything there is to know before finalizing the adoption. Adoption Fees for Cats and Kittens: $50 for one and $75 for two This includes vetting, UTD Vaccinations and spay or neuter We ask that you fill out an adoption application before you meet our animals. You can download it here: http://www.floridaurgentrescue.com/adopt Please note: We are not a shelter. Each animal is fostered in an individual home, and we do not have a kennel or facility that you can visit and see all the animals. Before you visit our animals, we ask you to go through the application and brief phone interview process. We will then schedule a meet and greet with the animal and their foster parents. Every adoption starts with a 1 week sleepover, so before finalizing we can all make sure it's a perfect fit. We are all volunteers and do this in our spare time, we do not have set hours and we answer all calls and emails as quickly as we can. Thank you so much for your interest in our FUR Babies! show less
