About Monet

Sweet, gentle Monet adores attention from people, and once she gets to know you, she likes to follow you around.  Ever so feminine, her little meow and tiny trill will capture your heart. Monet likes to engage in gentle play with catnip toys, feather wands and other soft toys.  And, she’s a true baker at heart, kneading away on soft beds and blankets. When it’s time to rest, she’s ready to snuggle up with you at night. Prior to adoption, all cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, and microchipped. This cat is in a loving foster home.  To meet her, fill out our application on our website and we'll put you in touch with her foster for a visit.  www.thedancingcat.org/adopt

Mr Stumpy has been coming around for ear rubs and food for about two years.  His ear is tipped, but he acts as though he was a homed pet at some point. He has a very gentle soul with people - wants to snuggle & get loving. His caregiver has been able to pick him up. He’s more than happy to hop into a lap & become a marshmallow.  His survival instinct has made him a bit feisty towards other cats (which is why he stays outside, his caregiver has 4 other cats). This also makes him a good mouser - he has brought gifts   . Even with a recent ear abscess, never once did he try to bite or scratch despite having a painful condition. He’s on the mend after the vet cleaned him up.  He is extremely docile when scruffed - he’ll let his caregiver tend to his wound or carry him to another part of the yard very easily. He's called Stumpy because of his short tail. We have no idea if he was born that way, or if he had an accident. His build is solid and he has a healthy appetite. He looks quite a bit like a Manx. Everyone at the vet hospital commented on what a sweet and beautiful cat he is. This cat is being cared for by a concerned citizen who would like to find him a safe home. He deserves to be able to sleep on a warm bed and cuddle with his people at night.   Contact us for details and we'll put you in touch with his caregiver. show less

Rocco is a handsome 2-year-old Russian Blue mix who is discovering himself after being rescued by us from the San Jose shelter. Rocco is an uber social, fun-loving, affectionate cat who truly enjoys human company and is looking to love and be loved.  He has a fine appreciation for soft chairs and cozy beds.  His foster reports he is intelligent, inquisitive, quick to play, loves head-boops and catnip mice, and is quite the acrobat especially when a wand toy is involved!  Are you looking for a compelling cat to keep you company? Rocco is looking for you! Rocco tested positive for FIV, which may cause a weakening of a cat’s immune system. FIV+ cats can live normal, long, healthy and happy lives. This cat is at The Dancing Cat, our adult cat adoption lounge located at 702 E. Julian St in San Jose.  The Dancing Cat is open from noon to 6pm Thursday through Friday, no appointment needed to meet the cats during this time.  We are also open from noon to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday; appointments required if you want to visit on the weekends. Please contact us to schedule an appointment.  More information about this cat and all our adoptable cats can be found at www.thedancingcat.org/cats. Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, and microchipped.   show less
