Get ready to laugh and be entertained by Batty, the chihuahua!! As you can guess-his name reflects his big silly chihuahua ears, resembling bat wings! Batty loves to stay busy, running, and playing, chasing after toys, or the other dogs at his foster home. He will even play tug of war with them, or paw at their leg for attention! It's fun to also watch him fight the urge to fall asleep after a good play session-he never wants to miss a thing! When around his people-Batty becomes snuggler extraordinaire! He likes being under the covers, in bed next to you, or on the couch, touching your leg. Believe it or not-Batty was found running across 6 lanes of Northwest Highway!! Luckily he was scooped up safely and is now enjoying the comforts of a wonderful foster home! Batty is going to make a fantastic pet, preferably with older children, -he playbites, and makes the funniest faces doing so-will do great with other friendly dogs in the home, or with an owner, or family that will keep him happy & active! Hi! I'm Bill Cowher, but you can call me Billy! My foster mom named me Bill Cowher because she says I have the same scowl that he did when he was coaching in the NFL and would lose a football game. BUT she says MY scowl is super adorable!! ******* Don't let my grumpy face fool you...I am one of the HAPPIEST dogs you will ever meet! I found myself at the shelter because my owner passed away and I was very sad, but my sweet foster mom from Dallas Pets Alive came and rescued me and now I know how to be happy again!******** I'm 8 years old and I love to play in the backyard with a tennis ball or go on a walk with you. Mommy says I'm part Pittie, part Weimaraner, part Great Dane and part Male Model which is why I am so gorgeous and so very smart!******* I live with three other dogs that are all female and I love all of them, probably because I am quite the ladies man! I get along with everybody, though - humans especially. I LOVE kids but smaller ones have to be careful around me...I have a long tail that wags really hard because I am so happy all the time and Mom says my tail could knock over a truck! I can't help it, though, I just love people so much!******* I am house trained, leash trained and crate trained. I am also a HUGE fan of toys that I can rip up so I am supposed to tell anybody that wants to adopt me to buy toys that cannot be chewed up. Where's the fun in that?? But don't worry, I DO NOT chew on shoes or furniture at all. I know the difference!******* I love to curl up with you and snooze while you are watching tv. If you have another dog that I get to be a brother to, I love to curl up with them, too! If you are active, I'll be active with you and if you are wanting to be laid back, I will as well. My mom says she may be biased, but that I am THE perfect dog. I would have to agree with her! But don't take our word for it, come meet me and see for yourself!******* All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. Say "Hi"! to this beautiful velvet hippo named Coco Chanel! She is a 3yr old mixed breed beauty, with a ton of smarts! Coco is learning basic commands, really well, and is already housebroken. If she wants a cuddle, or affection-she will let out a cute bark or two. She is learning to walk on her body harness, with recommended front leash, and enjoying the outdoor adventures! She loves playing at the dog park, with dogs of all sizes, but when at home-Coco is content to relax, and be near you. If other dogs are in the home, feeding separately will work best. Who is going to resist her chocolatey shiny coat, honey tinted eyes and floppy ears?! With her good behaviour, and sharp learning skills, cocoa-colored Coco will be a gem with the proper owner, or family who has time and patience to keep her happy! Finnigan (answers to Finn) is a very handsome and loving gentleman who would be a perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal, low maintenance, affectionate friend. He is a bit shy at first, but once he settles in, he is extremely sweet. He will sit quietly next to his human for hours on end, gently requesting the occasional head pat. Finn is perfectly content hanging out inside, but would also enjoy the freedom of a yard. He has learned basic commands and seems to want to learn more every day! He seems mostly relaxed around other animals and kids, but he tends to get nervous around very loud noises or hyperactivity. Finn is house trained, walks well on a leash and never attempts to jump on furniture. He just has great manners and can't wait to show you how awesome he is! Finn is excited to find his ideal forever home, hopefully, someone who can appreciate his friendly calming presence. Want a dog with an infectious joy for life, that loves an adventure, AND will curl up with you for a Netflix binge? If that peaked your interest, meet the lovely Honey! Besides being a looker (check out that cinnamon coat!) Honey has a lot to offer her forever family. Here are a few things you need to know about Honey before you fall in love with her! Honey needs an active family that will take her on ALL the walks, as well as to dog parks and doggie day care. She has lots of energy and tends to bounce like Tigger when she is excited! After her play-filled day, she will be ready to snuggle with you on the couch and check out the latest episodes of your favorite shows. Honey is house-trained and crate-trained (YAY!) and while she hasn't quite warmed up to cats, she loves to be around other dogs! Her ideal home would have another pup or two for her to bond and play with. Honey loves her humans and wants to be around them all the time, but she is currently working through some shyness with new people and being more comfortable on a leash. Just being patient and kind to Honey will help bring her out of her shell and trust the world is a safe place. One more thing... QUIRK ALERT: Honey has been known to fall asleep standing up. How cute is that?! Honey is ready for you to make her part of your family and begin your adventures together! Apply to adopt HONEY today! Meet affectionate Isaac. We thought she was a boy until we had her "neutered and found out she was a girl. Since she already knew her name, we kept it. She is an 8-month-old gray and white striped cat who was born in our garage. The mother is a stray who adopted us. Isaac has been handled by adults and grandchildren since she was 4 weeks old. She has been spayed and had all her shots. Isaac is quieter than her sister. Once she gets used to you she loves to be held and petted. She purrs constantly. She loves to play, run and be silly - especially with her sister. She enjoys having her back scratched first thing in the morning. She gets along with dogs (we have 3 goldens) and other cats as well as people. Isaac is litterbox trained. She has the run of the house during the day and stays in the bedroom/bathroom at night. This kitten needs a loving home. She would be a great companion for anyone! Smile big and say "Hi" to Lolli-Pop! Her name can't come out of your mouth without reminding you of childhood and conjuring up a little joy! Lolli-pop is around 3 years of age, with delightful features (much like a real lollipop) like her pretty honey-toned eyes and velvety creme-colored coat. She enjoys her car rides, likes short walks, is house broken, and crate trained. Lolli-Pop is very well behaved, affectionate, and good mannered. Her activity level is low-moderate, so a nice sized fenced yard could be ideal for when Lolli-pop would like outdoor time and exercise! Also, that way her sensitive paws don't have to be subjected to hot concrete walks during summer time. A perfect gentle-giant, Lolli-Pop was an owner surrender, yet she comes with an abundance of positive traits that would only grow in a loving, caring, furever home with a devoted owner! Who wouldn't love to laugh with daily joy, and make Lolli-pop's second-chance dreams come true?! Lucinda is an adorable little lady that has come out of her shell very nicely! She greets her foster mom when she gets home from work and is warming up to her foster dad. Lucinda enjoys attention and being in the same room with her people. Her foster home has dogs (large and small), adult cats, and kittens. This bright, two-year-old lab mix might've had a rough start in life, but Malcolm hasn't let a little dysfunction get him down. Instead, this boy is all smiles--even in his crate! Malcolm knows basic commands like "sit" and "shake," and he's working really hard on his potty training! If his foster humans don't have time to play fetch, Malcolm will throw his toys up in the air and catch them all by himself! She has already picked up basic commands, how to walk on a leash, and is crate trained. This gal is also the perfect mix of playful, loving, and cuddly! She adores adults, and just wants to be near them, and feel like she is one with the "pack". She has yet to be around children, so an adult household might be a better match... When introducing her to other pets, -in the home, on walks, or at a park-a slow and controlled approach helps Mama V to comfortably greet and sniff any new potential friends! Mama's ideal home would be with a moderately active person, or couple who is ready to keep her enriched with play, mixed with lots of couch cuddles, affection, and continued training. If this could be you-contact DPA to meet this gorgeous lady in person! All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. Say "Hello" to Marley! Marley is a sweet pittie mix, who is 8 years old, and as sweet and laid back as she can be. Marley knows some basic commands, already-but her foster family is keeping her sharp and happy by continuing to train her, and teach her new commands. She is housebroken, and happy to be around people and other dogs. You will fall in love with the way Marley likes to flip over on her back for belly rubs, or cuddles with you while you watch tv. She is used to a nice daily walk, but is content to lounge around, mostly. Marley will thrive with a caring, semi-active, semi-low key home-with not alot of action of busy-ness. If Marley is more your speed-as in an easy going, bright, laid back dog, to complete your home-than look no further! Contact DPA today to make both your lives complete! Marley is available for pre-adoption and may not be officially ready for adoption, as she is still undergoing medical treatment. Depending on the medical status, a Meet and Greet may be put on hold until they can safely participate in a meeting with potential adopters. In some cases, this pet may be able to move to its forever home while it is still under the medical care of Dallas Pets Alive. Meet the ever-so-adorable Mina! This sweet, gorgeous girl sports the most beautiful tuxedo coat and is sure to charm anyone she meets. Found living in a feral cat colony by Dallas Animal Services, Mina was deemed too young and itty bitty to return to this environment, so she is now living it up with her current foster family! Mina is gradually getting more comfortable with humans and other animals, slowly coming out of her shy, timid shell. She is great with using a litter box, taking to it right away! Mina does fine with small dogs, though she prefers to hide from them rather than play. However, she loves the company of other cats, getting along swimmingly with her foster family's current feline. While a little timid at first, Mina can be quite the cuddle bug. Her foster family gushes about how cute she is when she is happily curled up purring on their chests, snoozing away comfortably. She is still getting used to the concept of toys and playing, but she does love a good toothbrush that she can play with and bite the bristles of. Mina would do best in a home with older children and adults who can be gentle and patient as she learns to conquer her shyness. She would love to have a home with other cats and could get used to mellow dogs if introduced slowly. With some patience and a lot of love, Mina could be the purrfect companion! Could this sweet girl be the perfect pet for you? Apply to adopt Mina today! All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. Say hello to Nala! This pretty girl is around four years old and is getting a second chance in a loving foster home. She is learning her good-girl skills with crate training and house training, and likes to be around other pups! Nala has had a rough life up until this point. Her foster mom says they are giving Nala time to adjust and learn to trust people again, so they are getting to see glimpses of her personality. She may be skeptical of people, but she sure likes other dogs. She likes to follow them around and see what they're up to. Nala's foster mom says she is the cutest little sleeper. This sweet girl needs lots of love and security. Could that come from you? Apply to adopt Nala today! Hey, Hey, my name is Ollie are you my people? I'm a stinkin' cute young pup with a silky-smooth coat and I love all people. Everyone who meets me says I'm a sweetheart. I get along with both dogs and cats, I have 2 dogs and 1 cat at my place. My dogs love me, but my mom says the cat really doesn't dig me. I love treats, belly rubs, snuggling, playtime, exploring in the backyard, car rides and chilling. I also love going on long walks and if your game I'll even go on a run. I'm always ready for a new adventure - whatever you want to do and wherever you want to go I'm in. I am happy to say I am both potty and crate trained, walk well on a leash and know a few commands. I need a family to give me lots of love, take me on walks, and someone to snuggle with at the end of the day. If you think we could be a paw-fect match, fill out an application. Hi my name is Polly the Pocket Pit! I am a 36lb ball of joy and I love playing with my foster brother Rex. Sometimes we play a little rough and I bump into things but I've never broken anything. My foster mom makes sure to take us outside or play calming music if I get too riled up. I know how to sit. I know what "get down" and "no" means. I am a good girl who potties outside, if I get distracted my foster mom tells me to "go pee" and I plop my butt down to oblige. I know how to ask her to go outside now too thanks to my foster brother Rex. He has taught me a lot about being a dog. I love all toys but my favorites are squeaky toys and tennis balls. I love antlers and if you give me a no-rawhide treat I will chew it up in record time! I came from the City of Plano Animal Services from a family of 4 (male female and 2 children) but before that I was at the Dallas Animal Shelter so this is my 3rd temporary home. I would really like to get adopted so I can snuggle up to my human forever. I love ear massages and trying to lay in your lap. Tam afraid of fast movement and loud sounds but my foster mom is working with me to get over these fears. I don't like being restrained so please don't pick me up, it makes me uncomfortable. I also don't trust men so I tuck my tail and growl. It's not because I am aggressive, it's because I am scared. If they have a treat then we can certainly be friends! My foster mom is working with me to overcome my trust issues and says I am doing a lot better now! My number one favorite thing to do is to sit for treats. I will do anything for a treat! I sit and wait or go to my kennel and sit and wait until my foster mom drops one in my mouth. I am the happiest girl when my foster mom takes me for runs. I love exercise! I love playing fetch! I am also pretty chill compared to my foster brother who is a min pin. If I lived in a house without another dog my foster mom says I would probably sleep on the couch all day. I love car rides and I can sit still when we have to drive somewhere. I like it when my foster mom puts my doggie bed in the backseat because I can relax and take a nap. Everyone says I'm so cute because I'm so little and I look like a tiger but I am still waiting for my forever home! Is it you? ***I am 1-2 years old, spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, non-food aggressive, I let my foster mom touch any part of my body, housetrained, eager to learn new tricks, playful yet calm, love jumping into the water hose and shower and I am very obedient. *** I am waiting for my forever family! If you have patience and want a lil pit who loves water and being outdoors then I'm your girl! Please contact Dallas Pets Alive! to submit an application for me. show less

Thumper was picked up as single mother and her tiny baby at Dallas Animal Services. Thumper is reserved and clearly was not handled with love previously. She has come around in her foster home and is warming up more and more to her foster mom and 4 year old. She was also underweight before and much prefers her new life of fresh vegetables, fruits, timothy hay, and rabbit food on a daily basis. She has stopped nipping her foster mom and even learned to permit some snuggles and kisses! She is a beautiful girl who took great care of her baby and deserves to live out her life loved and unafraid. Although she is older and bit more mature, like all bunnies, Thumper cannot be left to roam unattended as she enjoys chewing leather, woodwork, plastic, and electrical cords. Thumper currently reside with two small dogs (18 lbs each) and a three-legged cat. Occasionally they go out in soft grass in an x-pen. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets have been appropriately vetted depending on their species upon adoption. The standard donation range for barnyard animals is $50 - $600, but completely dependent on species. This is Tucker! He's a sweet, gentle boy who's about a year old with a heart of gold. He would love to share his heart with a forever family but in the meantime he's getting lots of love with his foster family! Tucker loves other dogs - playing with them and just being near them. He paws at them to initiateplay and bounces around - such a funny guy! He's also a good boy. He takes treats gently and doesn't pull on the leash. And he's house trained! As for a forever family, he would love one with other dogs. He just loves to play with other pups and would like the company. A home with older kids would be best since little ones may spook him. Gazing into Willie's eyes-you will see an old wise soul, to match his grey-speckled face... He is a big ol' boy-believed to be Great Dane, and Shepard mix, with many years behind him...13 to be exact-quite impressive! Willie is looking to find his furever home, to quietly laze about, and spend his golden years dreaming about biscuits to eat, cozy dog beds to sleep in, and a big yard to stretch his long legs in. His ideal home would involve no travel, realistically no kids, and no other animals in the house. Willie prefers to be spoiled and pampered with all the love and attention on himself. Willie isn't asking for much in his "retirement age"...just a chill, calm environment surrounded by TLC. If you've longer to open your home to a senior dog-look no further than Willie! The reward for both him and possible owner would be the best feeling in the world! Willie is available for pre-adoption and may not be officially ready for adoption, as it is still undergoing medical treatment.
