Louie has been looking for his forever home for since July of 2018. We absolutely love him here at the rescue! He loves people and children, but dogs just aren't his thing, and that's ok! Instead, we spend one-on-one time with him both outdoors and indoors. He loves to hang out with the staff and happily follows me around during kennel cleaning time. He patiently sits by my side while I am washing dog bowls, and simply enjoys the company! Louie pays such close attention to my movements while I am doing heavy scrubbing and he never gets in the way, making it fairly easy to have him hang out with me while I work! Seeing his face in full concentration while I scrub away is adorable, not to mention the tail wag and bouncing around he does after each kennel is scrubbed! He's my furry supervisor! During vet visits, staff at any of our two clinics we frequent are always raving about his great manners and awesome personality! This sweet senior is a skin cancer survivor who had the affected mass removed by the previous shelter he came from. We monitor him regularly and he's been cancer free! The risk of spread is low with the type of skin cancer he had, and many dogs go on to live a long life after the treatment he received. He is a healthy boy and doing so well! All he needs now is a home to call his own! If you have a home without other pets, please consider him as a loyal companion for the rest of his days! show less
