You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. While SVPP strongly believes that most domestic kitties will live longer and healthier lives indoors, we occasionally encounter kitties better suited to a life with a little more freedom.  Sometimes these are older kittens that were captured past the prime time to socialize them and they're not as friendly as we had hoped they'd become. Others are adults that have had outdoor lives previously and are truly struggling to acclimate to a life indoors. Some are truly feral and need to be relocated from their original territory.  Many of these kitties believe strongly in being seen, but not touched. In exchange for food and access to shelter, they'll keep rodents out of your garage and yard. They'll provide passive companionship as you relax on your patio or in your yard, content to lounge in the sun.  Our commitment to their healthcare is the same: all cats will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV/FeLV, treated for fleas and other parasites, and microchipped. We ask that guardians seeking a feline for their garden, yard, shop, barn, porch, or garage be willing to provide shelter, food, water, and basic veterinary care. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. show less

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Vader is the luckiest unlucky dog we've ever met. He was found alone and bleeding by a good Samaritan and rushed to Silicon Valley Veterinary Specialists, where they worked to stabilize him and determine the extent of his injuries. With help from San Jose Animal Care Services, it was determined that he had a spinal fracture and minor skull fractures to accompany the multiple deep lacerations. With thoughtful care from the team at SVVS, he's expected to make a full recovery in foster care. Once on the road to recovery, witnesses came forward to share that they had seen Vader tied to a tree, being attacked by a person with a machete. Despite this horiffic trauma, Vader's steady and affectionate temperament still shines through. Vader has been fabulous with children and would love to play with other active dogs once he's fully healed. He should be supervised closely in the presence of cats or other small pets as he has shown significant prey drive. He is crate trained and is learning some basic commands thanks to a very dedicated foster home.  Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetprojectVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. show less
