Famous Amos is one sweet cookie! His leash manners are great, he enjoys walks and runs. He doesn't like being kept in the cookie jar (aka his crate) because he would rather be out and partying with you. However, if you are out of the house or in your own bed he is ok with it, though he would prefer to be invited to all the family adventures. He wants to be attached to your hip, leaning on you when possible, and loves pets from family and strangers alike (not that he has ever met a stranger!). Belly rubs and snuggles are always welcome. Amos is a smart little cookie, who learns quickly when you use positive reinforcement (cookies, please!). This little chewy cookie loves to chomp down on toys. He loves tug-of-war and playing tag with his two-legged siblings. Fetch is a work in progress; he has the chase part but has trouble remembering to hand the ball back over rather than just settling down for a nice chew. Amos must be a mocha chip because he has a lot of energy to share! He needs a family that is able to keep up with him and loves to be loved. Kids welcome- he loves their energy level. Cats not so much- they nap too often. If you are looking for a shadow and enjoy being pleased, Amos is the one for you! Are you this little cookie's forever cookie jar? All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. And through it allllllll, she offers you protection, a lot of love and affection, whether you're right or wrong... No, we're not talking about your latest Hinge match or a neighbor you've met in lock-down. We're talking about ANGEL, a soft, senior pit mix who's desperately looking for her furever home. Like most seniors, ANGEL I'd perfectly potty trained and does not chew on her surroundings. She's a fully grown, well-behaves adult with one goal: to be the greatest, snuggliest, most loyal lap dog of all time. ANGEL knows that she was meant to be the guardian angel of a very special human, so she sometimes experiences anxiety in a crate. Not to worry, though! This lady is on her best behavior when roaming the house, and she's a pro at finding the best spot on the couch to take a nice, long nap. Because she's so loyal and loving, ANGEL would do best in a home where she's the only dog. She loves kisses and pets, and she will sew herself to your side of you let her! If you feel like love is dead, love ANGEL instead. Don't make this sweet, loyal girl sit, wait, and contemplate her fate. Apply to adopt ANGEL today! All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. Hi, I'm Bailey... AKA Freckles! I'm a 60lb lab mix who was rescued from the mean streets of Dallas. I couldn't have been more excited when I left the shelter... no really, my foster mom and dad said they've never seen a tail wag harder! They didn't know this at the time but I LOVE to wag my tail. If you look at me, I wag it. If you say my name, I wag it. If you smile at me, I wag it. If I had to guess, my doggo love language would be tail wagging. Anyways, enough about my tail and more about the rest of me. Not to brag or anything, but I'm extremely adorable... I'd say my best physical features are my freckled ears (hence the nickname) and golden eyes. But if we're being less shallow, I'd say that my contagious smile, playfulness, and my eager to please attitude are my best features. Oh, I should throw potty trained in there, too. While we're on the topic of what I'm good at... I'll go ahead and tell you that I even know some commands... but the problem is, I just get so excited that sometimes it takes me a second to stop wiggling my bottom to actually sit! How can you blame me when there's a treat in my face!? Speaking of treats... I. Love. Bones. They are my FAVORITE. I could chew on those babies for hours. When I'm not chewing on bones or loving on you, I really enjoy going on walks and runs to get all my energy out! I may be at the wise ol' age of four years old but I still have a little bit of that puppy energy left in me. So if you like to do that.. or even like to just play fetch (yes, I'm good at that also) then you'll love having me around! After playing, I like to take nice little naps... whether it be in my comfy kennel or plopped down on the floor. I don't discriminate on napping locations. When I'm napping I'm usually dreaming of my furever home. It usually includes a yard for me to roam or play fetch in, no other pets (I'm what you humans would describe as a "people person"), and an owner that's ready for a new best friend. I've never really been around kids but I LOVE humans so I don't think a tiny human would be any different. Now I like to picture myself as an honest dog so I'm going to be upfront with you about being heartworm positive. I'm starting on my medications and will be better than ever when I'm done! The great news is that everyone says it's not a big deal, I can still be adopted, AND that Dallas Pets Alive will pay for the treatment! How amazing, right!? If you're interested in making my dreams come true... all you've got to do is file an application and speak to a Dallas Pets Alive adoption counselor! Can't wait to meet you and give you one of my famous hugs! All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. Behold the future apple-of-your-eye--Bella! Bella is 10yr old Pit-mix, who is an extremely smart, and well behaved older female dog. She is just looking for a low-key, low energy home to live out her Golden Years. Despite her age, Bella still likes to go for walks, a few times a week, but nothing too long or strenuous. She loves being outside in a nice fenced back yard, or can find a few toys tooccupy her time when inside, at home. Bella is house trained, crate trained, comes when she is called, and walks on leash (or harness) w/out issues. Most of all-Bella LOVES her people around her. Whether she wants to rest her head in your lap, is enjoying some one-on-one cuddle time, or is just in the same room with you-she is content. If there might be other dogs around the hone-an introduction with Bella is a MUST.... She is still working on her socializing skills. The ideal home for this gorgeous gal is with minimal noise, older or no kids, a strong, semi-active owner, a secure yard, and nothing but an abundance of love to give. If Bella sounds like your dream come true-pls reach out to DPA for more info! She can't wait to meet you!
