Meet Chandler! This little 7lb 1 year old fella has had a bit of a rough start to his life. He came to CARE with his brother Joey from the city shelter in San Antonio as part of a neglect/cruelty case. He had an embedded collar around his neck that required some medical attention. Meet Harley, this Terrier blend is 1.5 years old and weighs 13lbs. Harley's foster mom tells us that he has a great temperament, he is very energetic and ready to follow his humans anywhere! Meet Maverick, this guy caught our attention at the city shelter in San Antonio. Everytime we walked by his cage he stared at us with those piercing blue eyes pleading for help. We knew we couldn't leave him behind to face the uncertainty of the shelter so he came to CARE. Maverick is very young at about a year old, he is full grown at 44lbs. He loves going on walks and the quickest way to his heart is scratches behind his ears! His foster mom tells us that he is a gentle guy that loves playing with other dogs and is apparently already house trained! He catches on to things quick although returning the tennis ball in a game of fetch is proving to be his challenge haha. Meet Mooney, this girl has come so far since being at the city shelter with her puppies. She came to CARE with her 4 puppies back in the beginning of June! Her 4 pups found homes very quickly leaving Mooney here at CARE waiting for her turn. We all have grown very fond of this sweet little mom and cant wait to find her a home of her own. She is very active and loves to run and play which makes us think she would do best in a home with an active adopter or a large yard. She is very inquisitive and looks to her humans for direction.
