Mission accomplished! This beautiful lady roamed a rural piece of property for weeks with limited social interaction. She was owned at one time and unfortunately abandoned by her owners when they moved. She waited for weeks in the street for their return… nothing. A Good Samaritan was alerted to the situation and set out to help her. After days of befriending her, Diamond finally made her way to the Good Samaritan. She was taken to the local shelter for possible reclaim and promptly gave birth to a litter of puppies. She was skin and bones with a mottled hair coat. Fast forward 7 weeks later and Diamond has succeeded in her motherhood and is now ready for a home of her own. Timid at first, she is quick to become your friend. She loves hanging out in the kitchen with everyone and waiting for food to “fall” from the counter. She especially enjoys the air conditioning given this hotter weather. She is not fond of the crate but will tolerate it. She would much rather sleep on a dog bed and just hang out. She is well behaved and trustworthy is left alone. Being a Labrador, she loves the company of other dogs. She is working on walking on a leash and outings to gain confidence. And she loves to smile - literally will greet you with rolled lips and a gigantic grin. If you are a fan of this breed and willing to continue teaching her how to be a family dog full of confidence and trust, please consider adopting this beautiful girl.
