About Ebony

Here's how we describe Ebony ("Ebi"): • Calm yet playful • Docile • Loving • Gets along great with dogs of all sizes • Plays with other dogs • Plays with stuffed toys • Melts like butter in your lap • Knows how to use a doggie door • Would do best in a household with a confident dog • Timid of new people so would do best in a household without a lot of strangers coming and going but warms up once in a person's lap where she lies complacently • Quiet most of the time • Crate trained • 8.6 lbs • 7 months old • Terrier • Spayed • Microchipped • Up to date on shots • Has not been in a household with cats so we don't know how she is with them Here's an additional video of Ebony (copy & paste into your browser): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlJFo-jYftA&list=UUiOCLnrG7w8TC9NUpt-GaPw We have recently potty trained Ebony using the crate training method. Adopters should continue this training using the same method or taking her out frequently as all new dogs in a household when first brought home should. Ebi's adoption fee is $195 which would be used to pay for spay/neutering, medical treatment, food, & supplies for homeless dogs. She would do best in a household without small children. Note: Please fill out an adoption app online here by cutting and pasting into your browser if you're interested in meeting Merci: https://www.animalalliancesd.org/adoption Merci ,who got her name from the French phrase "Merci beaucoup," is • Affectionate • Loves to be held • Lapdog • Playful • Loves stuffed toys • Loves playing with other dogs • Crate trained • Knows how to use a doggie door • Not a picky eater • Treat motivated so easy to train new things • Dances for treats • Energetic but calms down when needed • Potty trained using the crate training method • 2-years-old • Wire-haired Dachshund/terrier mix • Only 10 lbs • Spayed • Microchipped • Up-to-date on vaccinations While under our care Merci has not been with cats so we don't know how she is with them. Here's other videos of Merci (copy & paste into your browser): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ou6rNlJODaM&list=UUiOCLnrG7w8TC9NUpt-GaPw&index=1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79HnV_0xCTY&list=UUiOCLnrG7w8TC9NUpt-GaPw&index=5 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEmUAp9at5Y&list=UUiOCLnrG7w8TC9NUpt-GaPw&index=6 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIcNE0MgsSo&list=UUiOCLnrG7w8TC9NUpt-GaPw&index=3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8Ss2xKHJPQ&list=UUiOCLnrG7w8TC9NUpt-GaPw&index=2 Merci's owner passed away and his son brought her to the shelter where Merci was petrified. She's fully adjusted now that she's in a comfy foster home but is still a little apprehensive of strangers but warms right up quickly. We believe Merci would shine most in a home with adults only or older respectful children. Merci's adoption fee is $195 which would be used to pay for spay/neutering, medical treatment, food, & supplies for homeless dogs.
