**Courtesy Post** These two brothers are Butch and Cody in San Antonio. They are 10 year old Jack/Rat mixes. Their elderly owner is having to move and they can’t go with her. They have been well taken care of their entire lives. Butch and Cody weigh about 22 pounds and could probably lose a little bit of weight. Cody has black markings on his face and Butch has the brown face. They are both neutered and up to date on all their shots. They have always been on heartworm prevention and are current on it. We would love for them to be adopted together since they have been together their entire lives. They like attention and to be loved on and are very friendly dogs. They live with three other dogs in their current home. They don’t live around young children, so it would be best for them to be in a home with older kids or adults only. They have always lived with their current owner and have been very well loved but pretty sedentary. Cody is the boss between he and Butch, so Butch always follows Cody’s lead. They are house trained and kennel trained. They both know how to walk on a leash and do well on one, but have always had a yard to play in so they would require a securely fenced yard. They have always been indoor dogs and we want them to continue to be. Butch and Cody are located in San Antonio, Texas. Their adopter would need to be able to travel to that area to get them, or at least part of the way. A home visit and a good vet reference are mandatory to adopt them and there is a rehoming fee. **Courtesy Post** Miss Hollywood is 8 years old, and she needs a home where she's an only child and gets lots of attention. She deserves it! She knows some commands and has been trained on pee-pads. She has a doggie door now, so she uses it to go outside, but if you go somewhere and leave her alone she can use the pee-pad. She is up to date on her shots. She loves small doggie toys and will play with them by herself. During the summer time she has a small wading pool to get in and cool off (and she is constantly in and out of that pool). Of course she likes any kind of treats and doesn't seem to have a favorite. Of course, she loves to run, but probably could use some training to get her to come back when you call her. She is such a good girl and I hate having to find her another home, but she has gotten into fights with my other dog. I’m worried that she will be hurt again. She loves belly rubs and back scratches (and will try to get as much as possible). She needs a securely fenced yard. She requires a home with no cats, no kids and no other dogs. A home visit and a good vet reference are mandatory to adopt Miss Hollywood and there is a rehoming fee. Her adopter must drive to the San Antonio, Texas area to get her. Hello friends! My name is Skye and I am ready to be your new playmate! I am 14 months old and I weigh 20 pounds. I had a terrible start in life. I was allowed to run the streets and eventually I was hit by a car. I was taken to the shelter, but my hip was broken and I was not eligible for adoption. Thank goodness my kind Russell Rescue, Inc. foster mom came and got me out of there. I had an operation on my hip and now I am good to go! I was spayed and given all my vaccinations also. I like all dogs and people and enjoy everything about life. I’m a perfect example of that cute song called “Girls Just Want to Have Fun”. I am one of those girls who can play all day and still be ready for more fun at night. My perfect home will be with someone who is not gone all day. Having an owner that spends time with me would be so nice. I also like other dogs and will definitely need a companion dog who wants to play and romp. I love to play! No kids as they make me a little nervous. I’m not used to them. A securely fenced yard is an absolute must. Being an inside dog is also a must. Foster mom says a visit to your home and a good vet reference are mandatory to adopt me. My adoption fee is $275. I sleep in my crate at night, plus I eat in my crate as I have a tendency to be a bit food aggressive. I am a low-rider with a beautiful full, thick rough coat. Please fill out the online adoption application at www.russellrescue.com My adopter must be able to travel to the San Antonio/Seguin, Texas area to get me.
