**Courtesy Post** These two brothers are Butch and Cody in San Antonio. They are 10 year old Jack/Rat mixes. Their elderly owner is having to move and they can’t go with her. They have been well taken care of their entire lives. Butch and Cody weigh about 22 pounds and could probably lose a little bit of weight. Cody has black markings on his face and Butch has the brown face. They are both neutered and up to date on all their shots. They have always been on heartworm prevention and are current on it. We would love for them to be adopted together since they have been together their entire lives. They like attention and to be loved on and are very friendly dogs. They live with three other dogs in their current home. They don’t live around young children, so it would be best for them to be in a home with older kids or adults only. They have always lived with their current owner and have been very well loved but pretty sedentary. Cody is the boss between he and Butch, so Butch always follows Cody’s lead. They are house trained and kennel trained. They both know how to walk on a leash and do well on one, but have always had a yard to play in so they would require a securely fenced yard. They have always been indoor dogs and we want them to continue to be. Butch and Cody are located in San Antonio, Texas. Their adopter would need to be able to travel to that area to get them, or at least part of the way. A home visit and a good vet reference are mandatory to adopt them and there is a rehoming fee. Dia is a 6 year old spayed female. She is current on all her vet work and in the prime of her life. Dia is the perfect example of a female Jack Russell Terrier. She is crate trained and house trained. A fenced-in-yard is an absolute must for this girl! No chain link. No electronic fencing. No wrought iron unless it is tight, tall and flush with the ground. She needs your eyes on her when she is in the yard because she is an escape artist! Throw a ball or a toy, get a little swimming pool, get agility equipment, teach her some tricks...just don’t leave her alone and bored. As I said, she needs attention. If you are gone all day for 6-9 hours she is not a good fit for you. This girl needs exercise, interaction, stimulation, attention and a lot of love and affection. You must have experience with the breed to adopt Dia. She is a huntress, a snooper, a critter killer, yet loves her snuggles on the couch. Dia requires a home with no kids, no cats, and no other female dogs. She will not do well in an apartment. A home visit and a good vet reference are mandatory to adopt her. We will not adopt her out of state unless it is to Louisiana or Oklahoma and her adopter must drive to the Kerrville, Texas area to get her. If you are interested in Dia please fill out the online adoption application at www.russellrescue.com Her adoption fee is $275 Contact: jolleyjames@sbcglobal.net show less

**Courtesy Post** Miss Hollywood is 8 years old, and she needs a home where she's an only child and gets lots of attention. She deserves it! She knows some commands and has been trained on pee-pads. She has a doggie door now, so she uses it to go outside, but if you go somewhere and leave her alone she can use the pee-pad. She is up to date on her shots. She loves small doggie toys and will play with them by herself. During the summer time she has a small wading pool to get in and cool off (and she is constantly in and out of that pool). Of course she likes any kind of treats and doesn't seem to have a favorite. Of course, she loves to run, but probably could use some training to get her to come back when you call her. She is such a good girl and I hate having to find her another home, but she has gotten into fights with my other dog. I’m worried that she will be hurt again. She loves belly rubs and back scratches (and will try to get as much as possible). She needs a securely fenced yard. She requires a home with no cats, no kids and no other dogs. A home visit and a good vet reference are mandatory to adopt Miss Hollywood and there is a rehoming fee. Her adopter must drive to the San Antonio, Texas area to get her.
