About Charlie and Kitten! *BONDED PAIR* *COURTESY POST*

Charlie and Kitten are a ‘wonderful pair of kitty brothers’ according to their foster mom. These handsome guys lost the only home they had ever known after their owner passed unexpectedly. We are hoping to find them a new home together, as they really love each other. Charlie is about 7 and Kitten is about 4, they’re both gentle, quiet, moderately playful and very affectionate with each other as well as with their caretakers. Thanks to a generous donor, their adoption fee is waived! If you’re interested in meeting this adorable bonded pair, email adopt@meowparlour.com and we’ll schedule a meet and greet at their foster home. (Fun fact: Charlie is polydactyl!) ##430773##

Brownie is a 10-12ish-year old, 12-pound female surrendered by her owners to the shelter, now in Waggytail's foster care. She is a sweet gal that doesn't act much like a senior. Brownie walks well outside and is house-trained; she uses pee pads inside but also goes potty outside too. She has not shown any dog reactivity and gets along beuatifully with her foster fur-sister. Brownie is polite but whines a little if she isn't close to her humans. Brownie was pulled from the shelter but needs a more permanent foster home. This gorgeous girl is well-behaved and would make a great couchmate for someone wanting a low-maintenance pup! Brownie isn't spayed because her previous owners didn't take great care of her and because of her age when surrendered, she was not spayed at the shelter. She lived with adults previously so history with kids is unknown. She is an adorable and gentle senior girl who still loves her treats! Received DHPP, Bordatella and Rabies vaccines, and micro-chipped. Please contact us DIRECTLY using the instructions below if you are interested in fostering or adopting one of our Waggytails! Visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption or foster application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. Dina is a 5-month, 22-pound female lab -terrier mix who arrived from Tijuana on July 21 with her sister and two brothers. She is sweet and playful and adjusting well to NYC - 50% puppy energy and 50% complete lovebug. Her hobbies mainly include belly rubs! Dina loves her crate - during the day if you leave her, she whines a tiny bit when you leave, but when you come home she is mostly just excited to see you without any distress - and at night she sleeps happily in it without a peep. This gorgeous girl is treat and food motivated, and a fast learner - she used the pee pad almost immediately and rarely has accidents. She recently found her voice and growls a little bit when new people approach her too quickly - mostly men, but she warms up quickly to treats and when they give her a minute to be calm. Dina girl is teething so safe chew toys are recommended - which she happily entertains herself with. She LOVES ices cubes during these hot summer weeks. Pretty Dina is still learning leash-walking but like everything else - learning quickly - another dog around would probably help her understand the concept. As attached as she has become to her foster mother is an indication she would be an amazing and loving companion for anyone patient enough to continue training a puppy! Vaccinated for rabies and 2 out of 3 rounds (needs 1 more round) of dhpp (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, respiratory disease, parvovirus) but no bordatella Spayed and microchipped. Gail is a 2-year old, 9-pound female chiwennie from Texas.  She has become very attached to her foster mum and she'll need extra love and attention when she transitions into her furever home. This gorgeous girl is a love!  She does well around other dogs, but cats unknown.  Gail walks well on a leash. She has recently exhibited fear of people coming into the home and will need to work on learning how to greet visitors calmly.  Gail would do best with an experienced adopter (or a newbie who is up for learning) to work on her crate training, so she has a safe space to relax when she feels stressed. Jacko is a 7-year-old, 10lb neutered male chihuahua who is healthy, housetrained and loves his walks. His foster mom says he's a lot like a cat who enjoys long naps duing the day!    Jacko's former owner's health became too precarious to continue caring for Jacko who is ready to bond with his new person, in a forever home. Jacko is comfortable around men and it takes him a few days to warm up to women. Jacko loves people and is sometimes playful when he's not chilling out, contemplating the complexities of the universe.  Jacko alert barks a bit and is shy of strangers visiting his home, but does fine once you're an old friend.  Jacko needs to be the only dog in the house and we are not sure about cats or children.  H Jacko is up to date on shots, microchipped, and neutered. Nemo is a special little guy named after his 'lucky fin' - this 4-month, 6-pound terrier mix is deaf. He is an adorably sweet and spunky boy needing an adoptive family who understands his special needs and can commit to training him in the way he comprehends. Just like Nemo the fish, this pup doesn't let his weakness define him, and is as good a boy as they come! He is settling into his foster home who has patiently begun with some basic sign-language commands as part of his training plan and necessary routine. Nemo is pretty good with wee-pad training and with routine and stability will master it in no time. He loves to play with toys, chew bones, and foster siblings (and area rugs) but needs to learn leash-walking. Nemo is currently living with 2 dogs and will do best in a home with another gentle dog that can guide him to success.  Adopters will be especially evaluated on their experience with owning and caring for a special needs dog. Vaccinated for dhpp and bordatella - needs rabies. Neutered and microchipped. Oregano is a 2ish-years, 25~30lbs female hound/terrier mix who arrived from Tijuana on July 21. She’s perfected the smokey eye! Her name in Tijuana was “Orejona” or “big ears” in Spanish and she lives up to the description. She’s a snoozer, but alert, attentive, and playful — enjoying the outdoors and long walks as much as she enjoys cuddling all day long (and we mean it — she could snooze all day). The perfect family dog, sweet, loyal, snuggly, incredibly gentle, and fantastic with kids and other pups. Housetrained in just two days! Vaccinated for rabies and dhpp (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, respiratory disease, parvovirus) but no bordatella. Spayed and microchipped. **FOSTER NEEDED** Rico is a 3-year-old, 35lb neutered, male lab/terrier mix.  He LOVES to be around other dogs off-leash and is healthy and up to date on his vaccines.  Rico needs an experienced foster/adopter to work on his leash reactivity during walks and nervousness in the home.  Rico can be anxious and needs a patient person willing to be his calm and gentle leader.  He'd do best in a home that has well-defined boundaries, consistency, and structure (no sleeping in his person's bed for at least a few months- or longer) to help him learn to relax on his own.
