Ace is a happy, snuggly big boy who would love a home that has time to give him lots of attention and opportunities to keep his brain busy with toys and puzzles and play time! Ace loves to spend his time snuggling and giving kisses to his people friends and chewing on his favorite Kong. He protects the house to make sure his human friends are safe. Ace is great with all people and loves making friends. He is a good boy on walks for his dog walkers. Ace is not a fan of crates, but can be trusted to roam free when his humans are away, as he does not chew or destroy. Ace is dog selective would prefer to be the only canine companion in your life, but he's worth 50 dogs in terms of how much love and fun he brings with him! He's lived with older kids before, and could live with them again as long as they can handle his size and energy level. Ace is a lovable goofy boy who wants to continue his basic training to become a well rounded pup.  Alani is a super sweet, gentle, and very playful kitty whose squeaky meows will melt your heart! She is a little cautious at first, but when she realizes she's safe will happily follow you around the house and keep you company wherever you go. Even though Alani is not a lap cat, she loves to be around her people; when she's not busy chasing a wand toy around, she will beg for pets--especially butt scratches!  This special lady would do best as the only animal in a home with adults or grown children that will enjoy her company and give her the love she deserves.  Sweet angel April has the best personality! She is sweet but not too clingy; mellow but still enjoys walks; she loves afternoon naps but also meeting new friends!  At 11 years young, April requires a specific diet and maintain to maintain optimal kidney health. She also has several other medical conditions that need routine monitoring and daily medication. Despite it all, she is the sweetest girl and just wants to enjoy life surrounded by love!   We think April could easily befriend other small, nice dogs and seems to get along fine with cats. Interested adopters should contact PAWS to learn more about this sweet gem.  Arnold is a beautiful big guy with stunning green eyes who is waiting for his special person!  Arnold was rescued after he was found as a stray.  He was very shy when he first arrived and felt most comfortable tucked away in a hiding place in his cage. Once you spend some time with him, he happily welcomes your affection and pets.  He is a love bug and is looking for a forever home that can give him lots of love and patience.  He is a volunteer favorite who is currently a star student in our Cat Pawsitive clicker training program!  He is quite food motivated and loves giving high fives for a little treat!  A low-key household would allow him to blossom into the great companion he is destined to be.   Arnold also loves other cats and is often found snuggling with them.  Bev, also known as Mama, is equal parts sassy and sweet! This petite lady has beautiful, big, green eyes, curly whiskers and the softest fur for miles, which will come as no surprise since she’s a perfectionist when it comes to bath time! After a life on the streets, she is ready for a home that can give her all the unconditional love she deserves. Bev will do best with an adopter who has had experience with cats, and as an only pet so that she can embrace being queen of your castle. In foster care, Bev is proving to be quite the chatty Cathy—she lets out the cutest little chirps when you talk to her, pet her and (especially) feed her. Bev will let you know where she likes pets, and where she doesn’t, but she is gentle about it. When she’s looking for some company, she will hop up next to you on the couch for a nap or crawl up on your chest for some cuddles, but she will quietly retreat when she’d prefer some time to herself. This little lady doesn’t ask for much and is overly deserving of a forever where she can feel safe and loved… perhaps with you? From Bev's foster parents: We've had Bev since January and, boy, she's come such a long way! Though she was seemingly un-phased by the change in environment (and a lot of things), she was a bit touchy with us and wouldn't let her foster brothers come anywhere near her. Now, she follows us around everywhere we go and will come when called. She has even crawled up to sit on our chests without being prompted. Bev would still prefer to be the only kitty in the house, though! Also, believe it or not, she gives actual kisses/likes to groom her humans!" Bev has stomatitis, a condition that causes sores and inflammation inside the mouth. To help manage her symptoms, she has had most of her teeth extracted (all but her canines) and is currently on a wet food only diet, which she isn't complaining about! (Her foster moms think she could be the next face for Friskies—come on, just look at that gummy smile!) Bev is also FIV positive, a virus that weakens the immune system (Note: FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions regarding Bev's health). Age: ~6-8  years How I came to PAWS: Found as stray Animal ID#: A38516262 I am not at the shelter.  Brienne is a sweet and independent kitty looking for a quiet home and occasional playtime. Brienne was found as a stray and would do best in a quiet, calm environment. She is startled somewhat easily by new noises and sudden movements, and needs someone who will be patient as she gets used to her home. When she's comfortable at home, she will meow when she is looking for petting. She likes having her cheeks scratched and being pet under her chin. She loves to nap in her cushion bed, in closets, and under furniture. Brienne plays with toy mice, ping pong balls, and other cat toys on her own, and likes to chase the "da bird" toy on a stick.  Bunny’s name comes from her bunny-like bobbed cottontail, but the similarities don’t end there! Bunny is also as sweet, cute, and soft as a bunny. Because she was found as a stray, what happened to her or her tail in her past life remains a mystery. We do know, however, that this experienced lady has nothing but gentle love to give! Bunny embraces her name wholeheartedly: her favorite holiday is Easter, she loves the song “Bunny hop”, and fully embodies the term “snuggle bunny”.    This angel is best suited to a home where she can be treated with care! She’s pretty independent and loves a bit of alone time, so great for someone who works during the day, but definitely wants to make up for all the missed pets when you come back. Gentle children could be perfect friends for Bunny. We are still learning how she likes other animals.   Cinnamon has 4 other sisters, but just like Parsley, her look is unique. Her body is dark-brown-black with light brown patches. The finishing touches are her bright white paws and belly. Cinnamon has a personality that fits her name. She is that one ingredient that makes a dessert special. Once you add Cinnamon to your home, it will never be the same again without her. Cinnamon enjoys life like no other. Not only is she insanely pretty, she’s also intelligent, a bit naughty at times, and strong. While her other sisters were fighting a typical cat virus when they were still very young, Cinnamon never even felt a thing. She has always been the strongest and she’s a real daredevil. She is playful, loving, and most of all entertaining. She occasionally watches television, trying to catch the movements on the screen with her paws. When she discovers something excited to play with, she makes the cutest little noises. Her favorite game is hide and seek and when looking for her, you will find her laying on her back fully stretched somewhere in your planters. Cinnamon is the perfect cat for a family with young children who can give her a lot of attention since her energy is almost endless.   Doña is a sweet and social wonderful kitty, and also a terrific mom of 5! She would be a loving addition to your family. Doña is a caring young mom of five boys and is sweet to everyone who comes to meet her. She likes to chat when we first enter the room and is quick to rub against our legs and sometimes hop on our laps. She enjoys belly rubs, chin scratches and any other affection you'd like to offer. She deserves a well-earned rest as she has been a fantastic mom to these babies all while keeping a calm and spirited disposition. Doña would be a great addition to a family with young kids, older kids, or a mix.  House trained, energetic senior looking for her person - good with cats, dogs, kids If you're looking for the perfect family dog, look no further. If you're looking for the perfect companion, you have found her! If you're looking for a playmate, I have the dog for you! Please meet Emily! Emily found herself at PAWS after her owner died, she was scared and confused. Once placed in foster care, her lovely personality was given the opportunity to shine - and shine she did! Emily is completely housebroken, there hasn't been one single accident or oopsie. She knows how to sit and loves to show off how great she is at sitting. She also knows "where's your toy" and loves to throw her toys to herself. Her favorite toys in order are stuffies that squeak, then stuffies, followed closely by anything that squeaks. But what she loves more than anything else is her people. This little dog loves to cuddle and snuggle and be with her person. It doesn't matter what you're doing, she is happy as long as she is by your side. She will let you know when she requires head pets, and even if you think you're done, you're probably not. Emily is comfortable in a home with cats, she doesn't pay them much attention even when they're in close proximity. She appears to feel the same way about other dogs - she'll do a sniff if she feels like it, and then doesn't care what they're up to. She is a very gentle dog and has been comfortable around kids. Things we are working on in foster care are losing weight, allowing us to touch her paws for nail clipping, and stopping excitement jumping. She does have a surgery scheduled to remove mammary masses, but please don't let that stop you from falling in love with this perfect little girl. She is an adopter's dream, we can't wait to meet you!   Age: 8-10 years  How I came to PAWS: Owner passed away  Animal ID#: A42813727 Weight: 34 lbs Mixed breed (It’s impossible to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess.  A spicy kitten looking for his perfect match! Fizzle aka Fizzman aka Mr. Fizz came to PAWS as a scared and hissy kitten - in his short time in foster care he has already made great progress! He loves to wrestle with his foster sister, play with wand toys, and generally be in the same room s you. That said, Fizzle is still a little unsure around people and doesn't respond well to sudden movements or being touched. He would need a patient family that can give him space while he builds up his trust.   Gabby came to Paws with her  babies and is the best mother I ever seen. She still looks over her babies to keep them out of trouble and snuggles with them at nap time. Gabby also enjoys spending time sitting down with humans and getting pampered herself. She will also let you know when she would like to have some treats. Gabby can be talkative at times in a sweet way. Gabby has never been around younger children but she has a sweet demeanor so I do not think it will  be an issue.  Gabby is very curious when it comes to my large dog but I feel she should do fine with other animals because she gives him his space.  If you are looking for a younger loving girl Gabby is the cat for you. She is steadily gaining weight now that the babies can feed themselves so she will only be more beautiful everyday.  If you are an approved adopter and are interested in more information please contact me at  pemper71@gmail.com Age: 1-2 years How I came to PAWS: Transferred in from another rescue Animal ID#:  A42229478 _____________________________________ To adopt a cat, complete the application at phillypaws.org/catapp.To adopt a dog, complete the application at phillypaws.org/dogapp.            Please reference this animal's ID NUMBER when inquiring.  Pretty as a picture, Ginger seeks a home that will shower her with love and affection but will go easy on the treats. Losing a few pounds would help Ginger get on the path to better health. We believe she would do well in an adults-only home, in an environment that's tranquil and calm and can give her lots of encouragement and positive reinforcement. Once Ginger's coat starts to grow in, frequent brushing and grooming are needed in order to avoid painful mats.   Ginger has really wobbly back knees, for which she takes pain medication to keep comfortable. She'll appreciate a home without stairs, or one than can make sure she stays limited to one floor so her legs don't give out on her.  Are you in the market for a sweet and sassy old lady? Then Grandma Salty is your girl! This beautiful girl prefers a quiet home where she can lounge all day near her humans. She loves head scratches and will put her feet up on you to ask for them. Grandma’s best home would be quiet and a place where she can shine as the queen (though she could live with other respectful kitties!). She asks for no dogs or small children, older children who understand cat behaviors would be fine! Grandma doesn’t require much and asks for a loving home that will feed her a special diet (she requires food that helps her kidneys function) that is soft (her teeth aren’t the best).  Happy Hazel loves a good cuddle! Affectionate by nature, Hazel enjoys being around people- she's a social butterfly! Other things Hazel likes: quiet naps and rousing jogs - she'd make a great partner for hikes and walks. Hazel's plan for the summer is to soak up some sun, stay hydrated, and find a loving and caring forever home.  Kit-Kat is a feisty little girl that was found on the streets (being tough as usual) back in April before being brought to PAWS. She is around 4 years old, but has just as much energy as a kitten! She loves chasing balls, toy mice, feathers, and anything that catches her eye. Kit-Kat loves to cuddle, get head scratches, and even curl up under the blankets in bed with you! She does get moody, so if her tail starts twitching, watch out: her tough side may be coming out. Kit-Kat does have a bit of separation anxiety, and can get overwhelmed so she would do best in an adult home with no other cats or children, and with someone who works from home or is retired and has experience with cats.  The word "sassy" perfectly describes this girl - Llorona knows what she likes and what she doesn't!  Her beautiful green eyes are very expressive - she will definitely let you know when she is interested in being petted and when she wants some alone time.  A medium sized tabby, she likes to be in charge so she would do better with cats that don't mind letting her be the queen of the castle.  The activity and handling by children would be too much of a challenge for her so she would be best in a home with adults.  If you would love the company of an sassy kitty, Llorona would be a great companion for you.  Age: 2-4 years How I came to PAWS: Animal ID#: A41952481 Meet me at: PAWS Northeast Adoption Center 1810 Grant Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19115 â€𡿏-545-9600 ext. 70_____________________________________ To adopt a cat, complete the application at phillypaws.org/catapp.To adopt a dog, complete the application at phillypaws.org/dogapp.            Please reference this animal's ID NUMBER when inquiring.  Meet Luna - a 'big and beautiful,' independent lady with a playful streak! Most of the time, Luna is content to lay near your feet while you watch Netflix, or sneak up next to you for a couch nap when she thinks you won't notice! If it's go-time, Luna loves to play with her fluffy toys, chasing and carrying them around the room. If she's feeling lazy, Luna enjoys kneading her fuzzy blanket, receiving cheek scratches, and gentle head pets.  Luna is incredibly reward-motivated, which has been great for training her in new activities such as brushing and heavy petting. This smarty-pants has even mastered the high-five! After a long tenure at PAWS, Luna was very anxious going into a new foster home-- however with some time and patience, it has been so rewarding to see her begin to come out of her shell. Because she is still easily overwhelmed when being handled, Luna will need a patient caregiver who is willing to work with her as she relaxes into her new home. She would do best in a calm household without small children, preferably with someone who has previous cat experience. Since she is fairly self-sufficient, we think Luna would be a great companion for working adults.  Meet Thumper (or Milkshake, as we've been calling him), a sweet and spunky boy ready to wiggle right into your heart! This cookies-and-cream boy came to PAWS after an unfortunate encounter with a car that left him with a fractured pelvis, but don't think for a moment that that's dampened his spirits. Milkshake has made a great recovery, to the point where it's been hard to keep him contained (much to his foster family's chagrin)! Play pen? No thanks. Baby gate? Not a problem. This tricky guy can saunter and sweet-talk his way around any obstacle, it seems. You wouldn't know he had any injury at all if not for his runway-ready crossover walk. This guy is a total sweetheart, and he's made friends with everyone he's met (including other cats). He loves head scritches, getting brushed, or just taking a nap curled up next to you. His other passion: food! Never met a cat so excited about all types of food as much as this guy. He can be sneaky, so keep your eyes on that hoagie! Because of his injury, Milkshake has 2 meds that he will have to take indefinitely. He's restricted to wet food because of some missing teeth (which sometimes gives him a silly lil smile), but the nice part is that he can take his meds in his food, so mealtime is a breeze! This easy-going guy is tough to faze. Milkshake is a wonderful guy with a great personality, lovely little trill, and a laid-back attitude that would make him a perfect addition to any family. We just recommend he go to a home without small children, who might accidentally be a little rough with him. Schedule to me meet him today — we promise you'll fall in love with this sweet boy! She seems to have chronic congestion, but it is not as apparent when she is in a low-stress environment. Mini is an incredibly loving girl and a great cuddle buddy. She may take a little time to warm up to someone new, but once she warms up it's like you're old friends. She absolutely loves having her long fur brushed, especially on her head and cheeks. She can be playful when she wants to be, but likes being petted more. She's tranquil and relaxed, and even though she's not needy, she's always game for loving and caring company. Now that her kittens are all grown up and her mama duties are over, Minnie is ready for her forever home! Minnie is quite petite, and is steadily gaining weight now that she isn't nursing anymore. She loves to ask for attention by meowing and looking right at you and rubbing against your legs, and loves to lay right next to you for pets and scratches.  I'm a relaxed, chirpy little cat looking for a nice human to headbutt.  This is a friendly sweet relaxed pretty cat! She enjoys rubbing and nudging against the legs of any person who is willing to come say hi to her and chatting about her day. Mouse chirps and meows when you come home or wake up in the morning and loves having her chin, head, and back scratched. Mouse is a very laid-back cat. She spends most of the day lounging on the staircase or under a chair, watching people and her kittens. The kittens are almost old enough to go their own way now, so it's time for Mouse to find her own forever home. Mouse's ideal home would have places where she can lounge and watch the house activities, some lovely fun things to scratch (she doesn't go for many toys), and people to chitchat with and headbutt affectionately. When she is being petted and scratched she becomes a little wriggy thing and it's so cute. Mouse seems relaxed around other animals, although she hasn't been specifically checked for temperament with other dogs and cats yet. She would do fine with children because her first line of defense when she is annoyed is squirming away, not using her claws or growling. If you want a very pretty, laid-back, low maintenance, affectionate and chirpy friend, Mouse is your girl!   Age: 4-8 years How I came to PAWS: Found Stray Animal ID#: A42510562 I am not at the shelter.  Mushy really lives up to his name! This charismatic and affectionate 8 year old is a big softie who makes friends with everyone he meets. A staff and volunteer favorite during his stay at the shelter, Mushy is now showing us what a wonderful companion he is in foster care. This gentle friend is happiest when he's near you and will find a comfy spot to settle down wherever you happen to be. He is meticulous in his grooming and loves getting brushed - he even loves to groom people! Mushy is a big fan of Temptations treats and will even do some tricks for that reward. In his current foster home he has lived with a dog and several cats. He does well with dogs that are respectful of his space. As for cat companions, he would prefer to be the cat in charge but given the right match he would do well with cat friends. Mushy has diabetes, which is easily managed with prescription food and twice daily insulin injections (he's very cooperative with his meds)! This big sweet boy is well worth the effort, and will repay you with so much love. Drop us a line to learn more about Mushy today! Age: 8 yrs. Animal ID#: A31224987 I am not at the shelter.  Man about town with a lot to say and loves to play!   Nick Furry is an affectionate, playful, talkative boy who needs a loving environment in which these endlessly endearing qualities can be fostered. He doesn’t mind being keeping busy with toys or food puzzles while you’re away at work or school, but also waits for you to get home so you can help him work off some energy with some serious playtime! He absolutely loves being pet gently on the head or being scratched on the cheek, and will jump on your lap for hugs if he thinks it’s been too long since your last cuddle session. He thrives in a single-animal environment, but he has an open mind for smaller, docile dogs or a gradual introduction to other kitty friends. Younger children might not be able to keep up with his pace, so he prefers a household with those who don’t shy away from keeping him entertained.  My name is Nuka and I ended up with PAWS because one of my much loved family members became ill so they could no longer care for me and my best buddy/brother, Chance.  We two boys are social, friendly, and would love a chance to love you!  Matching bookends in black and white, our personalities are a bit different – I am more laid back and Chance is more of a “let’s play” kind of guy so we are the perfect complement to each other.  Since we are a bonded pair, we need to go to a home that is ready to add two more members to their family.  We can hardly wait to meet you!  Age: 2 years How I came to PAWS: Sick family member Animal ID#: A35628287 Meet me at: PAWS Northeast Adoption Center 1810 Grant Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19115 â€𡿏-545-9600 ext. 70_____________________________________ To adopt a cat, complete the application at phillypaws.org/catapp.To adopt a dog, complete the application at phillypaws.org/dogapp.            Please reference this animal's ID NUMBER when inquiring.  Pandacat loves people — especially ones who give a good butt brushing! She loves to be pet as well as brushed, she'll even flop over for belly rubs if it's especially good! She is extremely sweet and affectionate; happiest when people are around. Very mellow, but good-natured, which means that she would love to keep company with you and be your little cuddle buddy. Pandacat loves to greet you with a little "mrrr?" sound to show you how much she loves you!  Pandacat (formerly "Mama Q") has some special care needed for her eyes, but thankfully she's really easy to medicate because she's such a gentle sweetheart!   Parsley has 4 other sisters, but none of them look like her. She is blue/ gray, with brown patches all over her face. Her face looks like painting. One side is grey, the other side is brow. She has beautiful big eyes which she uses to stare up to you in the cutest way. She likes to go on adventures and there is no corner, hole, or secret hiding place she didn’t explore yet. Although they are a lot bigger, Parsley loves playing with the adult cat and dog of her foster parents. No wiggling tail is safe for her. When playtime is over, she curls up next to them. Parsley was the smallest and least active one of her litter when she first arrived at her foster parents, but her love for food, and food, and more food, made her catch up.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4okWAl9Uuo0Pearl Noir is a beautiful, affectionate polydactyl lady looking for love! She enjoys the finer things in life, like a comfy bed and a tasty meal. Once she knows you, she’ll be head-butting you for endless pets. Her favorite thing to do is make muffins with her adorable extra thumbs. She loves to sleep next to her person at night and get out of bed with them each morning. She will also be there to greet you at the door as soon as you come home. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her toy mice and rubbing up against her person. Pearl Noir has FIV, which is a virus that attacks the immune system of a cat. This just means she will need a stable, low-stress home environment, a healthy diet, and regular veterinary care. This virus is not contagious to humans, dogs, or other animals. It can be transmitted between cats through deep puncture bite wounds, so FIV-positive cats can still live with FIV-negative cats as long as they get along and do not fight. FIV-positive cats do not require any special medical care or medication and can still live very happy lives! If you are looking for a sweet, mellow cat, Pearl Noir is your girl!  Come meet this confident fellow with a melt your heart golden-eyed gaze and a sparky, playful personality.  Sandwich, a handsome orange tabby, is looking for the right mix of ingredients in his new home. He's a spunky and curious fellow who's great at grabbing your attention, especially if you have a yummy treat or some catnip. Always keeping his eyes open for some fun, a good wand toy and time to play will go a long way to win his heart.  A regal stare with eye-catching hair? Why, that's Tater Tot! This high energy, assertive pup found his way to PAW after being surrendered by a previous owner. We believe Tater Tot would do well in a dog-experienced home, an adults-only household that will make socialization and training a priority.  Toffee is sweet, affectionate and loves to play! Meet Toffee. She takes some time to get used to new people and places, but once she warms up, you'll see that she's a sweet and fun cat.   Toffee was a devoted super-mom to her five kittens, but now that most of them are adopted out, she’s ready to become somebody’s loving, forever friend. Her favorite thing in the world is wand toys. She can be easily startled if there's a lot of commotion, but don't let that fool you -- she loves head rubs, pets, and your company! It's too soon to tell if she'd do well with another cat, dog or children, but she is a little more on the shy side. Once she makes herself at home, she loves to play: chasing toys, scratching the cat tree, galloping around the room.  She’s ready to move into a forever home where she can provide fun and companionship.   The category is: TABBY BOY REALNESS!! Meet Tony!  Tony is a sweet-talkin’ chonk who always gets what he wants. Tony loves the camera and the camera loves him! He’s always dressed to impress, cuz you never know who you’ll run into honey! Tony is quite the socialite, and loves meeting new people. He can often be found on the closest available lap and has the warmest snuggles and loudest purrs! Who wouldn’t want a Tony of their very own? Life wasn’t always so glamorous for our little fashion cat. One fateful evening, Tony charmed some unsuspecting cops into giving him a ride in their squad car to the city shelter. PAWS scooped him up, and the rest is history! Tony doesn’t ask for much, just a lap to sleep on and a drawer for his bow ties. Although, he’ll probably try to take a whole closet. Tony’s a man who knows what he wants. Likes: Accessories, boxes, gazing out windows, posing next to fruit, photos of himself, a well-organized bowtie drawer, singing to you outside the shower, and your undivided attention. Tony would prefer to be the only kitty in the house so he can have all your attention to himself! Tony and his bow ties are currently living in foster care!    Star-Crossed Besties Need a Forever Home to Relax In! Dean and Tootsie are as calm and collected as any two cats you'll ever meet. They started their journey together in a shelter where Tootise called out to Dean constantly from several cages away. After several nights of this Romeo and Juliette-like communication, the shelter volunteers caved in and placed them in a cage together. They were adopted together by a loving owner a little over one year ago. Sadly, the owner had to move homes and could not take the love-birds with him. Lucky for Dean and Tootsie, they found a foster home after just one night in the shelter.  These two cats love lounging around and showing off their "chill" attitude and beautiful fur coats. They are always happy to see you when you walk in the door, though they won't be dancing around trying to lick the faces off of your house guests (unless you show them that you have their brush, then be prepared for a "purr-party"). When they first came to their foster home, they settled into their routine of keeping each other company by discovering a cozy corner together and giving one another reassuring meows. Their low maintenance attitude comes from a place of being comfortable together and it means they don't need a lot of toys or constant stimulation, just each other. After a few days of re-calibrating to the change in environment, they began to show a lot of affection towards their new foster mama. They still LOVE to cuddle, but they will be glad to do it on their own time. If you love to relax and aren't looking for a high-maintenance pet, Dean and Tootsie are for you! We aren't sure how they would react to other pets, but they get along great with cats. We see no reason why they wouldn't be great with kids who understand that they will come out for attention when they are ready, not the other way around. They like their alone time! They never swat or bite. Dean and Tootsie are the King and Queen of Relaxation and are ready to be back in a forever home. Are you a good fit for the King and Queen? They are ready to see you now and forever! Age: 2-4 & 1-2 How I came to PAWS: Animal ID#: 39498206 & 39497171 Tootsie and Dean are not at the shelter.  Meet Zapp Brannigan, a handsome little orange guy who likes lap time almost as much as he likes nap time. He likes other cats that can match his energy, and loves any and all toys—especially wand ones and laser pointers that can get him jumping and running! Zapp was found as a stray this past Spring and was sick for quite a while, until PAWS vets determined that allergies were prompting his perpetual illness. Zapp is much more stable now on a hypoallergenic diet, and his adopters will need to keep him on that strict diet to avoid relapse into illness again. Zapp's hobbies include doing pigeon impressions, soliciting head pats, and playing tag with the other resident and foster kitties in the home. He's very food motivated (so guard your human snacks!), and toy motivated, so if you need him to do something for you just butter him up with those sweet, sweet bribes. Zapp especially loves forehead rubs, he tolerates kisses, and is a two-time Regional Head Bonk Champion—in his mind, at least. **This animal has additional medical needs that the foster would like to discuss before setting up a meet to adopt.** Age: ~2 years  Reason for surrender: Found as stray Animal ID#: A38288232 Current location: Foster care (this pet is not at the shelter). Please email my foster parent at angela@phillypaws.org for more information about me!  Please apply online by emailing  adoptions@phillypaws.org_____________________________________ To adopt a cat, complete the application at phillypaws.org/catapp.To adopt a dog, complete the application at phillypaws.org/dogapp.            Please reference this animal's ID NUMBER when inquiring.
