Astra may have a classic Boxer grumpy face, but she is the sweetest pup on earth! This gal is mid-aged which means she's the perfect combo of trained (she knows "sit"!) and snuggly. A bit cautious at first, she opens right up when you offer her a treat! She enjoys her walks too, and doesn't pull much on the leash - she needs a bit more practice learning to walk straight ahead though! Astra's fur is super soft and she loves being petted. She seems to do very well with other dogs, but we aren't sure how she feels about cats yet. Astra could be a good match for a family with children, pending a meet and greet.  Age: 4-6 years How I came to PAWS: Found Stray Animal ID#: A43825700 Weight: 43lbs (she is very skinny and is on a weight-gain diet until she's has a healthy body condition again - healthy weight estimated ~50lb)  Mixed breed (It’s impossible to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.)  Bab is a shorty with a huge appetite for BOYS. Cat boys that is. She a flirty lady on the hunt for a cat bachelor to settle down with. She ain't got time for deadbeats, so get out of her way! Babs may be tiny, but she's got a waddle-stomp that can wake the dead, and a perfect belly you just wanna squeeze. Don't rush her, though. She doesn't know you like that! Patience and treats are the way to her heart. Obviously, Babs is looking for a cat companion to settle down with. The kitty in question must be ok with constant hugs and affection. As for the human suitor, she wants someone who's ok to take things slow. Like, VERY slow. But once you both get acquainted, she'll give almost as much love as she gives your other cat. After all, she is a hopeless romantic. Likes: Doja Cat, wet food, rom-coms, The Bachelor, and booty scratches.  A heart full to the brim with cuddles, purrs, and head hugs! Temple University was cold, rainy, and lonely, but I found myself in a warm bed after the right person saved my life! I was hungry, losing sleep and scared before I was found outside my foster's apartment. She says I was God sent! My name is Catherine, but I also go by Catie, Cat, Angel, and Sweetness! My eyes look a little sad, but that's because I've seen a lot in my short life. But things are different now, and everyday my mommy says she sees my eyes brighten! Since being rescued, I've been eating well, using the bathroom correctly, sleeping often and playing always. I love my squeaky mouse who keeps me occupied when I'm home alone and I love playdates with my orange friend Oliver. But the best time is when I'm surrounded by people. You won't ever lose me because I stay by your side and answer by name! I have a beautiful voice and love to chat with you. More than anything, I love to give and receive all the love in the world through snuggles! Feeling safe and loved is what makes me most happy. Life is good for me at last and I'll be so appreciative of my future family. I can't wait to meet you! Age: 7 months How I came to PAWS: Found stray Animal ID#: A43741590 I am not at the shelter.  Little Charlie seeks a family and home all his own! Charlie can be a bit slow to warm up, and could use some more help adjusting to the world.  A sassy but loving calico lady! Meet Duckie! This little lady is a great example of calico "cattitude". She greets her foster mom by showing off her adorable belly, but won't hesitate to give you a gentle slap to let you know it's time to "look but don't touch". Of course, she reserves the right to rub up against you as much as she wants! Although she's independent, she really enjoys being around her people and will voice her displeasure when separated! Even as an adult, Duckie has a lot of energy and loves to play with dangling toys - her foster mom is hopeful that after a slow introduction she could learn to get along with another playful cat, but suspects that she would be just as happy being the queen of the castle.   Age: 6 years How I came to PAWS: Found stray Animal ID#: A42823037 I am not at the shelter.  Edith is an independent woman who is totally cool with your busy schedule, just as long as she can steal your bed while you’re at work. She’s very chatty, and will tell you about her day as soon as you walk through the door. Edith loves to pretend she’s shy at first, but it’s all an act. Once she realizes who pours the kibble, Edith will be your tiny shadow, except while you’re cooking. She’s scared of kitchen appliances. Edith prefers to be the lady of the house, where she can have your undivided attention. She would love a calm home to live out her golden years. A queen size bed with tons of pillows couldn’t hurt, either.
