*Courtesy Listing! Please email lisakuhnle@yahoo.com or call 909-206-7112 to inquire on Bella* This little munchkin is Bella! She was found as a stray, and after all attempts to find an owner, no one claimed her. She is super tiny and weighs in just under 4 lbs! She is what you might call a "teacup" Chihuahua. The vet believes she is 8-10 years old. She may be small, but she has a huge personality and is very affectionate. She loves everyone! She currently lives in a foster home with 3 small kids and is fantastic with them. Since she is SO tiny and fragile, we do prefer a home with older children (if there are children). We would not want her to be injured accidentally by a small child. She is great with all other dogs of every size and even cats! She lives with 3 larger dogs currently and is great with them. She is not your typical small dog that is intimidated by large dogs. She actually fit right in with the large dogs in her foster home. If there are other dogs in her potential new home, we would want them to be more mellow and very dog friendly. A large hyper dog may run over her or knock her down, injuring her. She plays and wrestles with the family cat too. She rarely barks, but will whine when she wants to be held or wants to be with you. She is very sweet and loves to be right by your side. She is crate trained but really isn't fond of the crate because she would rather be in your lap. She sleeps in her foster mom's room with her and loves it. She is great in the car and is a dog that would love to go with you or be with you whenever possible. She is getting better and better with housetraining but does still have accidents from time to time. When we found Bella, she was very thin and had lots of tarter on her teeth. She has since put on weight and has had a dental done. She did have to have 6 teeth pulled during her dental, but her remaining teeth and nice and clean now! Bella has been spayed, microchipped, completely vaccinated, dewormed and has had her teeth cleaned. All of her vet care is completely done. There is an adoption application, phone interview, home check and adoption fee of $300 required. show less

Courtesy listing! Please contact Becky at : beckeric@earthlink.net to inquire on Koko Puff Meet Koko! Koko girl is awesome! She's a goofy, petite, young, low-medium energy, people-loving APBT. She is currently being fostered in our home with a male Doberman and small female dogs, all of which she does fine with. She largely ignores the small dogs and plays well with my Dobie. She would do best in a home with a large breed, non aggressive male dog, or even as an only dog, as she is much more people oriented than dog oriented. We have done some pretty intensive daily training with her, so she is alrady crate trained, potty trained, walks well on leash with the correct collar (this includes not reacting to other dogs on walks), and knows a few basic commands including "bed", "sit", "down","stay" and "take it nice". She is a very smart dog who learns quickly but can be selective about her listening- so she needs an owner who is familiar with dog training and can continue to set boundaries and rules for Koko as her leader. When I got her out of the shelter, she was jumping on people, snapping food out of my hands, and generally unruly, but in a very short period learned to settle down and be respectful. Her new owner needs to be committed to reinforcing and continuing everything she has learned. Koko adores all people, including kids, but I wouldn't reccommend her for a home with kids under about 10 simply because she is so strong and can get excited while playing. My 14 year old has done a good deal of her training and she loves him. She fetches and returns tennis balls and toys, is curious about the water, and just generally wants to be with her people all the time. She's a good hiker and would probably enjoy running as well. She does occasionaly bark at other dogs while she is in her yard but when people approach the fence, she just gets wiggly and kissy. We have a gated property and she has never tried to run off, even with the gate wide open. She is not food aggressive at all with people, I can easily take food from her, but she will get a bit defensive about her food with other dogs, which we are still working on. She sleeps happily in her crate all night from 9-6 and enjoys chewing on bully sticks and marrow bones. Koko does have a prey drive and should not go to a home with livestock, chickens, small rodent type animals, and probably not cats- unless you have a really badass cat that will stand its ground. She needs a couple walks , ball-playing or dog-playing sessions a day, other than that she naps and hangs out with her people waiting for you to rub her belly or give her treats or let her sit in your lap. She rarely barks but does make lots of gorilla grunting noises! She also has a funny habit of army crawling on her belly. One thing that stood out to me about Koko is how AMAZING she does in the car. We took her off-roading one day and she just chilled the whole time, even on some crazy rough trails. She is always looking to hop in a car and go for a ride, and loves meeting new humans with her wiggly butt and kisses. She would probably do great as a companion for a truck driver, as long as she could get a couple pit stops with exercise each day. She would make a great dog for outdoors type people as well, particularly off roading or RV people. Her happiness is people, who she bonds with strongly, so she is not a dog that can be put out in the yard and forgotten. Koko is spayed, microchipped, recently had DHLPP vacccine, rabies vaccine, treated w preventative dose of Frontline, and a preventative deworming treatment. Her adoption fee is $175 and requires an application and home check where Koko meets all family members, including any other pets. She is being fostered in the Redlands area but we can drive up to an hour to meet potential adopters. Feel free to email me at beckeric@earthlink.net if you have any questions about Koko or if you'd like to put in an application on her. I can also send you more pictures and videos of her. It will be a lucky person who gets this beautiful, well behaved girl! show less

Courtesy Post- please contact Debbie at lildebpark@yahoo.com to inquire on Luka LUKAS' BIO: This is Lukas and he’s now 2.5 yrs old, 35 pound lab/beagle mix boy, and a Distemper survivor. He is very dog friendly, playful but loves to cuddle with his humans, great on leash and in the car, and crate trained. Playing ball and catching bubbles are some of his favorite things to do... just a big happy-go-lucky goofball! He was helped by Good Sam when he was 2 months old from the streets of TJ, Mexico but recently he became a US Citizen and living the good life with his foster family in Orange County, CA. In TJ he lived in foster homes that had over 30 dogs. Due to Lukas making a quirky sound similar to 'growling' when he breathes heavily sometimes that he developed from a respiratory infection while being treated for Distemper as a pup, he has often times been attacked by other dogs. It's believed that some dogs feel Lukas' growling sound was received as a sign of aggression when it wasn't. He is such a good boy that he doesn't even fight back when attacked, but we of course want to avoid putting him in this situation ever again. Lukas needs a home with no dogs or dogs with a great submissive temperament that won't misunderstand him and want to cause him harm. If you have any questions or would like to meet him in person, please contact Deb Bobshosky via email at lildebpark@yahoo.com. Thank you! show less
