Say hello to Brownie, this three year old Lab blend was rescued off of the euthanasia list at the city shelter. Brownie was getting over looked because she is a large energetic dog. We were very happy to be able to take Brownie in to our program and get her in basic training to help give her the skills to be a great family dog. Her trainer tells us that Brownie is a very sweet girl and extremely smart! Her trainer agrees that the time has come for Brownie to start the search for a forever home of her own to continue to learn in. He loves being held and getting belly rubs. We believe he is about 2 years old. He weighs around 17lbs so he is very easy to carry around and go on adventures with. Meet Mini, this tiny pup only weighs about 4lbs!! She definately fits the name Mini. She came to CARE from the city shelter in San Antonio, with her brother. Both littermates had not been cared for prior to coming to us yet were still very sweet and loving. We let them run around the CARE office and they were two of the happiest puppies we have seen! Mini looks a little rough in her photos but that is just a lack of proper nutrition and care. She has seen our vet and is now in a foster home and is very healthy and playful.
