About Albert

Albert is a very sweet boy who takes a bit to get to know you, but once you have earned his trust, he will happily let you pick him up and love on him. He's low-maintenance and doesn't require a lot of expensive toys or active playtime. All he needs is someone to gently pet him and tell him what a good boy he is. In return, he will be your most loyal and loving friend. Albert would love to find his forever home! *Albert has been specially selected to participate in Cat Pawsitive! Hey everyone, I'm Lettie. I am a darling year old sheltie/spaniel mix weighing in at 14 pounds. Thanks to this amazing rescue, I've gone from street life to the sweet life! I've been working hard to learn the ins and outs of living in a home. I've learned how to spend my days lounging on the couch, playing with squeaky toys, sunbathing in the yard, and romping around the house without a care in the world. New environments are kind of scary for me at first, but if you're patient with me I promise I will warm up quickly. I enjoy having other dogs in my foster home to show me how to be confident in my surroundings. I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to play with other dogs. I'd play all day if I could! It would be really great to have a doggie playmate in my forever home. I'd also love a secure yard to play in as well. I have learned how to walk nicely on a leash and my hope is for the family that adopts me to continue to work on my socialization and help me to come out of my shell more and more. Since I am on the timid side, I would do best in a quiet home without children. Once I get to know you, I will share all my love and spunky personality with you. I give the best kisses! My foster mom is always laughing at me. I have a goofy side to myself. She likes to brag on how nicely I behave in the house. I am kennel trained and go potty outside every time she takes me. I will sleep in my kennel without making a peep, but I also love snuggling in bed with my foster mom. It's just so cozy! In addition to snuggling close, I also show how much I love her by following her around the house and giving her constant companionship. Do you think you have room in your heart to add a gorgeous girl like me to your family? I can't stop smiling thinking about spending my life in a forever home! If you can show me love, patience, and compassion, then hurry and fill out an adoption application for me, Lettie, today! show less

Hi! My name is Margo but my foster mom calls me "Mango" most of the time. She thinks it fits my sweet and silly personality a bit better. I'm told that I'm a very good girl and it must be true because my foster mom constantly praises me and rarely has to correct me. I am fully potty trained, know how to sit on command (even without treats though I'd prefer doing it with a snack), and I'm quickly learning recall when the neighbor's dogs start yapping. I'm also crate trained and really like being in my cozy den, even when mom leaves the crate door open. I stay in the kennel while my foster mom is at work but she doesn't make me stay in it at night because I take my beauty sleep very seriously. When I wake up in the morning I like to greet my foster mom with lots of mumbles while I do my stretches. She says I'm a talker but not the kind that is annoying...just the right amount. I love putting on my fancy harness because that means we are going for a long walk with the puppies down the street! I really enjoy meeting all the nice people on the walks and getting pets. Everyone likes to comment about my big ears but I think they're the perfect size. I love playing with toys...mom has tons of toys in a basket but I like to pile them up by the front window or on the back deck so I can show off all my treasures to the passerby's. My roommate is a miniature dachshund puppy that loves to jump up and slap me in the eyes...she's really small so I usually lay down so she can have a fair shot while playing. I also live with a cat but we both happily ignore each other. I really enjoy car rides but I refuse to jump into mom's SUV so she has to pick me up, which I don't mind one bit. Basically, I love everything and everyone and would be a great fit for just about any home as I'm fully content being a semi-party animal or a couch potato. My name is Mr. Larry McFluffins and I am looking for a new home. I use to live outside where several humans fed me but somewhere along the way, I managed to break my leg which was too much for the humans to handle. They took me to a clinic to be cared for and then to a foster home. The humans are guessing my injury was incurred as I engaged in an epic battle with a nasty (dare I say the word) . . . . dog. They are correct and if you have a dog, I do not wish to live with you. However, if you have a love and admiration for felines such as myself, you may inquire about me. My foster thinks I am very handsome (and she is correct). In fact, I am gorgeous! My leg has been surgically plated and I am ready to be put on a pedestal where I can rule my kingdom, where dogs are not allowed. I would like roam through my castle (which shall be called your house), be worshipped as a feline god, eat the finest foods, and roll in the highest quality cat nip ever grown. Some humans believe that I have an attitude. Well, of course I do! Just look at this face. It is the finest specimen of feline that there ever was. Look at my eyes - one rare blue and one rare yellow sapphire. There's nothing common about me. Of course, I have been medically cleared and deemed healthy. The horrible clinic neutered me, but I am over that and ready to move on. If you are experienced in providing fancy felines such as myself the love and adoration that I deserve, please contact my foster at SAVE Rescue Coalition. She loves to talk about all of my regal qualities and who can blame her! show less

Meet Ralphie!! This big guy was found as a stray near downtown Houston. We think Ralphie was mistreated by his previous owners due to some bad scarring around his neck. Ralphie was heartworm positive, covered in fleas, and his feet were bloody from being on the run when he was found by his foster mom. We have gotten Ralphie treatment and he is now healthy and happy. Despite his rough start, Ralphie has a pretty amazing temperament. He is sweet and goofy and very smart. Ralphie learned how to sit, lay down, and stay within the first week at his foster home. He is also potty trained and crate trained. Ralphie is a young dog - less than two years old. Ralphie would love to have an active owner who could take him for long walks and let him see more of the world. Ralphie currently lives in a foster home with two other dogs and a two year old little boy. Ralphie's foster mom reports that Ralphie is very sweet with her son but due to his size and age, small children might find Ralphie too exuberant. At the end of the day, Ralphie would love nothing more than to find a family of his own. He loves to curl up on the couch and snuggle with his foster mom. Ralphie is a wonderful dog and deserves a much better life than the way his started. If Ralphie sounds like the perfect dog for you, please fill out an application at saverescue.org. Thank you for ADOPTING your next pet. show less

Hello New Friends! My name is Sunny. My foster mom says that's the perfect name for me because it matches my sunny coloring and even sunnier disposition. I'm not sure what a disposition is but I believe her because she gives me pets. I just love pets. I also love playing with my foster sibling, but not as much as I love sitting by my human and getting pets. Pets are just the best!I do love my foster siblings though. I play well with all my foster siblings and am even well behaved around those small strange little foster siblings that make those weird meowing noises. They're kind of funny so I mostly just ignore them. I am friendly with dogs of all sizes, and in fact, when my foster mom first found me I had a small little friend named Luna with me. My foster mom actually thought Luna was my puppy because I was taking such good care of her while we were wandering the neighborhood.I'm a super well behaved dog too. I'm house trained, crate trained, I know sit and I walk pretty good on a leash. I'm super friendly when meeting new people, although I admit I can be a little shy, but that's just because I have good manners and know I'm supposed to be polite when meeting new people. Not to toot my own horn, but my foster mom says I'm pretty much just the perfect family dog.So if you think you'd like to add me to your family, fill out an application with SAVE Rescue Coalition and my foster mom will set us up on a playdate! show less

Toby, Toby, Toby!!! Cute as I am, I am a special needs pup! I am perfectly healthy, but was not properly socialized as a puppy and need an owner who will be firm and follow the rules that make me a great dog in my foster home. Because I can be snappy about sharing, NO CHILDREN! In my foster home, i am perfectly behaved 95% of the time and we are working very hard to make it 100%. Pluses: I love to be brushed, I am super smart and know basic commands, totally housetrained and do not chew up anyting but my toys. I LOVE to play fetch and know the rules my foster mom has set so I don't get too hyper and lose focus. I am very sweet and love to cuddle and I get along with most dogs as long as I am not allowed to be alpha. The cons: I am being worked with for impulse control about toys and food. I can be aggressive to people sometimes but with proper cues and management, I have been easily handled. I don't like my crate, but I sleep in it every night and only fuss for a few minutes. I am very friendly meeting new people, but have rules that my foster mom makes me follow. I am very cuddly and snuggly, but again, RULES. Sounds like I would be unhappy with all these rules, but actually I am so much better when I know what is expected of me and what to do when. I seems that when I was a baby, I just had to figure everything out on my own and I made some bad decisions and learned some bad habits. BUT I am young and relearning about being a dog and will be an amazing dog for the right owner. Because I do not want to hurt some little one, ABSOLUTLEY NO KIDS, says my foster mom. My ideal home will be a couple or single person that is familiar with setting boundaries for animals. I co well meeting new people but would not a candidate for a busy household with lots of coming and going. I need a steady routine with lots of discipline and love (in equar measures). I love car rides and walks and I am fine going places. I could do well in a home with a more dominient dog. I have been in a living situation with up to 6 dogs and I am not alpha, but need to have balanced siblings that are well behaved. I am doing so well with my training that my foster mom is ready for me to start interviewing a new family. If you have read this whole post and think you can help me with my continued progress please email angela@saverescue.org show less
