About Stella

Adoption Fee: $450

Stella is a 1.5 year old, 31 pound female dachshund/terrier mix. Though she's a bit shy and nervous (for now), her foster can see that she's eager to be loved and learn how to love. After a few days in her foster home, Stella is starting to feel more safe and secure and is coming out of her shell. Once she's comfortable, she'll show her playful and confident side. Her foster reports that Stella even loves to cuddle, which she was too shy to do her first few days! Stella loves the going out to the park and is fascinated by large bodies of water. She sometimes barks at dogs on a leash, but that has improved as she's gotten more comfortable with leash walking in the city. Stella would make a great addition to a home that is willing to be patient with her and help her build her confidence.

Vaccinated for rabies, DAPPv, lepto, and bordatella. Spayed, heartworm negative, dewormed, and microchipped. Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention due 8/1.

Please READ THIS! https://iheartcats.com/5-reasons-to-consider-adopting-an-fiv-cat/ Proud Papa of many beautiful community kittens, Bernie was finally trapped, neutered, vaccinated and introduced to indoor living which he totally loves!  Bernie is a calm, gentle giant who just loves to hang out with people and other cats. Bernie tested positive for FIV, but otherwise is totally healthy. FIV can be transmitted to other cats during mating or through deep bite wounds which is so common among outdoor unaltered male cats. Bernie lives with 3 FIV(-) cats and a dog at his foster home in a peace and harmony. He’s a big fan of any kind of treats and is always first in a line during meal times. Bernie is so cute during play time: he chases balls like a young kitten and catches mosquitoes like a true hunter! Bernie is about 2-3 years old, 15lbs, FIV+, up to date on shots, microchipped, and neutered. We are looking for a home with no other cats, or to experienced cat home where Bernie will be properly introduced to resident cats.  Please contact us DIRECTLY using the instructions below if you are interested in adopting one of our Waggytails!
