About Lia

Adoption Fee: $200

Lia is a six-year old beagle mix. She is the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet! She comes to you for hugs and lovin and won’t stop till she’s ready. She is adorable and has a great sense of humor. She loves to collect just about anything and plays with toys by throwing them into the air. She would do great with another dog her size or larger as she loves to run around and play. We are working on basic commands and she is very great motivated. She is house broken by using a dog door at present. We are just going to see how she is with using a crate. We are also working on manners like looking on the counters and tables to add something to her collection. She probably spent most of her time outdoors at her previous home. She is your classic beagle in that she is scent driven. Her sense of smell will override anything else. She does do well on a leash though and will not pull terribly if requested. She loves to go for walks and explore. She probably wouldn’t do well with cats as she tends to chase small animals. I think she would be great with kids but probably not very young as she can be a bit clumsy. She will definitely need a fenced in yard. Lia will bring your home love and laughter for many years to come. Her adoption fee is $200.

Hi! My name is Billy but my foster mom calls me Silly Billy! She tells me I’m a very special pup because although I may have had a rough start to life, I still love with all my heart. I started out way down in Louisiana. When the nice people from the shelter saved me from living all my whole life on the end of a chain, I was so skinny and scared! They took really good care of me until Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue in Michigan took over, and I began a brand new life up here in the north. I feel and look so much better now! All I need is my very own forever home. I do have some requirements for my family however. I’m pretty picky about the dogs I like, so I probably should be an only dog. I love cats way too much, and play too rough, so it's not a good idea for me to be around them. I need a fenced in yard for my own safety and the safety of my future family. I’d never want my family hurt by chasing me into traffic or something else just as scary. My people are my whole world! I’m also still a puppy; or at least I think I am. I am only about a year old and really need my future family to be 100% committed to doing training classes with me. I’m really smart and pick things up fast so I’d love learning new things with them. I've learned so much already with my foster folks! I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on my vaccines. I am so ready to go home. My adoption fee is only $200. show less
