About Nash

Adoption Fee: $200

Nash is a sweet southern gentleman with eyes and ears almost as big as his heart. He is a dopey boy around 2 years old who loves to be silly and play with toys and bones until the nighttime, where he sleeps for about 12 hours straight. Nash loves everyone he meets and has great manners when it comes to being gentle and not jumping up. He would love to have a home with playful kids to run around in the backyard with or someone who is able to spend time in the great outdoors with him. Nash loves going for walks and following his nose, with that being said - he has likely never been on a leash before coming to Michigan and is still learning that there is a person on the other end. Nash is about 85 pounds right now and will need someone who is physically strong enough to control him on a walk - his nose is very strong and sometimes an alluring scent can be hard to resist for him. Nash will also need an above ground, fully-fenced yard - no exceptions. Nash is heartworm positive, but he is taking treatment like a champ and is set to have a clean bill of health by early summer. Nash loves other dogs and would enjoy having a playful sibling to run around with. He has not been tested with cats however his gentle nature leads his foster mom to believe he would do just fine with them. He is neutered, chipped and up to date on all shots. His adoption fee is $200.

Hi! My name is Billy but my foster mom calls me Silly Billy! She tells me I’m a very special pup because although I may have had a rough start to life, I still love with all my heart. I started out way down in Louisiana. When the nice people from the shelter saved me from living all my whole life on the end of a chain, I was so skinny and scared! They took really good care of me until Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue in Michigan took over, and I began a brand new life up here in the north. I feel and look so much better now! All I need is my very own forever home. I do have some requirements for my family however. I’m pretty picky about the dogs I like, so I probably should be an only dog. I love cats way too much, and play too rough, so it's not a good idea for me to be around them. I need a fenced in yard for my own safety and the safety of my future family. I’d never want my family hurt by chasing me into traffic or something else just as scary. My people are my whole world! I’m also still a puppy; or at least I think I am. I am only about a year old and really need my future family to be 100% committed to doing training classes with me. I’m really smart and pick things up fast so I’d love learning new things with them. I've learned so much already with my foster folks! I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on my vaccines. I am so ready to go home. My adoption fee is only $200. show less
