About Maggie

Adoption Fee: $400

Maggie is a 2ish-years, 15-pounds (but could stand to gain a few) mega mix! We suspect dachshund / beagle / a little lab? She is as sweet as can be! Having just arrived from Texas, Maggie is working on getting used to city noises and smells. Her favorite way to pass time is snuggling on the couch and getting belly rubs! Her little tail wags so fast when she sees her humans and she flops over for some scratches immediately. Maggie is pee pad trained and is okay with going outside once comfortable.

Received rabies, DAPPV, and bordatella vaccines. Spayed and heartworm negative. Will be microchipped soon.

Sammy is a beautiful brown tabby who unfortunately has found herself in a sad situation. Her previous owner, a nurse practitioner at New York Presbyterian, passed away in a car accident a few weeks ago on her way to work leaving behind her wife and their twin toddler sons. The family made a difficult decision to move to Chicago to be closer to their extended family but unfortunately was not able to take the cats with them. Sammy’s brother, Brady, already found a home. But Sammy has not. Sammy is a total love–super friendly, and just wants to sit next to you on the couch and get pets. Sammy loves following her foster mom around the apartment, gets along well with dogs, and doesn’t even mind birds! Sammy is around 14 years old, and does have some thyroid issues, but they are well controlled with a daily pill that she eats as a treat. Even though she lived with another cat before, we were told that he often stressed her out so we think Sammy will do best as an only cat. Who wants to give this sweet lady another chance at life?
