About Winnie

Adoption Fee: $500

Winnie is 9ish-months, 8-pounds female chihuahua/dachshund mix with the shiniest brindle coat. She is very shy (probably due to her past life as a stray in TX) but very sweet and affectionate, and very easily handled. Winnie let her foster trim her nails without ANY protest - the girl knows pampering! She is very good about using pee pads, but also goes potty outside with a little patience and encouragment. Sweet Winnie is still adjusting to the sights and sounds of NYC but is showing lots of improvement each day.

She loves to snuggle and follows her foster around in the house, happily wagging her tail. For a young dog, Winnie is fairly low-key and quiet, but also has moments of real playfulness with her squeaky toys. She's still apprehensive around strangers - especially loud people - but shows curiosity if she is approached gently. This gorgeous girl is also curious about other dogs and kids. Winnie would probably be best in a calm home with another friendly dog who can show her how to be more confident and truly comfortable.

Received rabies and dhpp vaccines. Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative.

Muffin is an approximately 6~7 month old male black and white dsh that came to us from the Animal Medical Center.  Muffin was dropped off at AMC in November by a good Samaritan who found him on the road with an obvious leg and eye injury. He had a partial degloving wound on his right hind limb, which has since been closed and healed. He also had a right tibial fracture and femoral fracture that did not require fixation. Muffin is a very healthy cat otherwise.  Though a little shy, Muffin is super sweet and affectionate once he knows you. He LOVES other cats so we're looking for a home with another cat for him. Muffin will require some socialization at the beginning to help him feel comfortable around his new home. This little guy had a rough start in life, but it will only get better from here! Muffin is FeLV/FIV snap negative and has been dewormed. His vaccines are up to date.  Please contact us DIRECTLY using the instructions below if you are interested in fostering or adopting one of our Waggytails! Snow is 2ish-years, 10-pounds male chihuahua mix from the Brooklyn animal shelter. He is a sweet companion but a bit shy initially. Snow is affectionate and loving once he gains your trust. This clingy little boy seems to make himself right at home and quietly sits in a safe lap or in his open-door crate (he'll go in on his own, but afraid to be put in by someone). Snow is medium to high energy, plays and behaves as normal as any other adorable cutie would! He has some leash manners to learn and is overly excited about meeting other dogs on walks, but that can be fixed with proper training. This stunning boy is fairly quiet but barks if he hears noises in the hallway. Because of his past and the fact that he is still fearful, a home without children is recommended. Snow would blossom with a low-key, patient family, in a quiet neighborhood or even outside of a city.  Vaccinated for rabies, bordatella, and dhpp. Neutered and microchipped. Stormi is a 8ish-year-old, 14 lb schnazuer mix (maybe some dachshund?). This sweet girl is a ball of uber-friendly active, well-behaved and loving scruff! With her big soulful eyes and her droopy ears and beard, she looks like a dog from an old Disney movie who gets lost, had an adventure, and then ends up in a loving home with her new family sleeping by the fire on a huge pillow. That could be you! Stormi loves her people and always wants to be in sight of them, so if you're a household of more than one, she will always be trying to find the best spot to lie down and keep an eye on everyone. She also sleeps in her own bed at night and spends a lot of time in the various beds around the house instead of getting up on the sofa. She is getting along really well with her grumpy foster brother and knows when to give him space. She LOVES her walks and bounds into the air when you pick up her leash and trots like a pro on the street. She is fully housetrained, enjoys a house full of people, greets everyone who stops on the street with an offer to pet her and loves other dogs. Hold on tight to that leash, because she wants to say hello to everyone!   Received rabies, da2pp, bordatella vaccines. Heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayed. ZAR is a 2ish-years, 7-pounds male chihuahua mix. Zar is a very polite, quiet and shy gentlemen who will do everything possible to get his persons affection. He is a total snuggle bug and prefers cuddling above all.  He loves to give little kisses and likes other dogs (and has even tried to kiss the cat in his foster home!) You'll never see a happier tail wagging!  He does well in his crate and has not had any accidents in his foster home. He is super chill and low key but he also loves going for walks and does a happy dance as soon as he gets outside into fresh air.  He is still adjusting to life in the big city!  Up to date on DA2PP, bordetella and rabies vaccinations.
