About ATOM ANT (special needs) ME - adoption pending

Adoption Fee: $350

Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait.

Atom Ant
Breed: Pointer/Saluki mix
Age: 1-1/2 years
Wgt/hgt: 44 lbs/ 19-3/4 inches
Gender: M, will remain intact
Relations: Good with dogs/ unknown cats & kids
Activity level: Moderate for cart dog
Highlights: Rear disabled, sweet, good with other dogs
Region: Middle East

I am a very sweet, young boy who was in dire need, as my shelter was closing down. Thankfully, a lovely person in Canada has offered to foster me, so I have been taken in by my rescuer until I can get a flight there.

I was found with all my legs tied up with a rope and run over by a car. I endured hellish pain. Some rescuers stepped in and I underwent severe surgery enduring pain and hardship for several months, but I was still able to recover.

So, I was kept at a place after surgery, but because of improper care, I was hospitalized. I was then taken to my current shelter. It is extremely difficult to find homes for able bodies dogs, let alone one paralyzed. If a place for me had not been found, they feared they would have to euthanize me. Such a shame after so much was done to save me. Now, I have a chance at a new life.

Though alas, I am paralyzed forever and can never play like other dogs... I have so much love to give and cuteness of personality to show you.

You may think it may be sad for me to be disabled, but it is just the way my life is and I enjoy being alive and able to share my love of life with others. LALDR will provide a cart for me once I am in my new home, so I can learn to zip around like Lightning McQueen, Mario Andretti, Speedy Gonzales, Usain Bolt... Hahaa.

I have no issues with other dogs and although I haven't been around cats, it might be hard for me to go after them. I also haven't been around children yet.

If you are up for a loving little buddy to snuggle up with, then you've come to the right bio. Here I am. Up and at 'em, Atom Ant.

Neutering has been deemed unsafe for me by the vet, so I will remain intact. Darn, I still can't do anything, even if I could get to the girls though.

I have not been spayed/neutered, but am *vaccinated & micro-chipped.
My adoption fee is $350.00 CAD + applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada.

Sunshine Breed: Pointer/Anatolian Age: 3 yrs (4 in Jun) Gender: fe, spayed Wgt/Hgt: 51 lbs / 27-1/2 inches Energy level: low to moderate Relations: good with dogs, kids / Unknown cats Highlights: happy attitude, tripaw, loves being around people, adores home cooked meals Region: Middle East Pleased to make your acquaintence dear Canadians. You can see my lovely spirit shine through my happy face. I definitely love people and other dogs too. I was found by a good samaritan living in a crowded shelter close to the capital city of my country in the Middle East. My rescuer noticed me right away because of my injured paw. You see, I had been run over and as a result, my hip was broken in 5 locations. In addition, my left back paw was damaged along the nerve running down through my hip. I was unable to walk when my good samaritan pulled me from the shelter. She took on the responsibility of getting surgery for me, as well as my physical therapy afterward. The veterinarians had to remove bones in my paw, as well as two toes. After sessions of physical therapy though, I was doing fine and walking again. I had lost feeling in my paw however, due to missing some nerve endings, so the doctor said I had to wear a special bootie on that paw. The inflammation in my paw was stable and didn't appear to get worse, so the hope was things would stabilize. When I would move, I kind of used my injured leg as a cane. As you can see by my video, I could run around just like the other dogs. We can still do all the things a family and dog do together.  New update on my toe issue (May 2020): my leg now has been amputated. That makes me part of the elite tripaw club. See my new photos. Watching to learn my new limits would be good in the beginning. https://youtu.be/cg43ieknnzY. As my video shows, I get along and play with other dogs of all sizes. I also love people. Cats are an unknown commodity, because I have not been around any yet. I am also good with children. If I could find a low to moderate level activity home, that would be perfect. I would certainly enjoy taking walks with you, but I would be in 7th heaven just snuggling on the couch with you or anywhere you go. I just love being around people. Another dog buddy in the home is grand by me. I hear hanging out at the dog parks is fun too. I would love to know what it is like to be a part of a real family, who love me as much as I do them. If you make any home cooked meals, I simply adore that. Will you give me the chance to live a life of sweet happiness by your side? I will be ever so devoted.  New update on my toe issue (May 2020): my leg now has been amputated. That makes me part of the elite tripaw club.  I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped.  My adoption fee is $450.00 CAD + applicable taxes, this includes my airfare to Canada. TABETA Breed: Husky/pointer mix Age: 3 years Gender: Female Wgt/Hgt: 44 lbs / 19.6 inches Energy level: high - med high Relations: good with dogs / unknown cats & kids Highlights: extremely active, playful, enjoys playing ball, sweet natured Region: Middle East Hey you all! My name is Tabeta and I am here looking for the love of my life. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul and boy are mine stunning. It won’t take but a glance for you to see what an amazing dog I am. Playful and full of pep, I’d make a great cheerleader to ensure you get your daily dose of smiles. My peppery looking coat adds just the right amount of spice in your life. If you need more convincing my colourful personality ought to seal the deal. As much as I want to share my past, the truth is not much is known about me before I was found. Since I was a young pup I have been a stray living a hard life. The day I was saved I was discovered on the side of the road somewhere in the Middle East. It was not known what had happened to me, but somehow I had broken my foot & had an old dislocated shoulder injury. Thankfully the person that discovered me took me in and helped me recover. They did a successful surgery. I will likely have some chronic arthritis in my left elbow, so as I age, some supplements would be in order. I lost a few teeth too, but now I can say I am as happy and healthy as can be! My only worries these days is finding the right, cozy spot to curl up in. In my new life adventure I am looking for an amazing family to cuddle with to help make my sleeping spot an easy choice. As a young lady who is bounding full of energy and enthusiasm, I am your ideal mascot to bring on hikes or anything exciting for that matter. I am a pretty hyper dog, so if you are looking for a pooch who can keep up with you then I’m the gal for you.  It’s a tough go when you are forever in search of fun times. One great way I drain my energy is wrestling and playing around with my pup pals. I get along great with all dogs and like to think there is no such thing as too may friends. If other dogs aren't around it doesn't stop me from having a blast. Just bring your party hat and a ball and you'll see what a goof I can be. I am as playful as I am lovable and people can’t help falling for me. Being a young dog yet there is no limit to the amount of things you can teach me. Just give me some patience (loads of treats won’t hurt) and in no time you'll see how clever I am.  As a pup with a lot of energy, I would do well with an active family who can satisfy my need for a thrill. My dream home would be a place with a backyard, but if you promise plenty of trips to the park I am sure we can work something out. Having another dog in the house wouldn't be too bad either, given how well I get along with my fellow canines.  Unfortunately I can’t say so much for cats, as I have never been tested with them, so  I will need a house without them.  Though I have a very sweet nature, I have not been tested with children yet either.  As a former stray, I have never really known what having a family means, but I really want to learn. If given a chance to shine I know you won’t be disappointed. I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped.  My adoption fee is $500.00 CAD + applicable taxes, this includes my airfare to Canada. Toblerone (Tobi) Breed: Chesapeake Bay Ret & Shepard Age: 4 yrs Gender: M, neutered Wgt/Hgt: 70 lbs / TBA Relations: Good w/ fe dogs / Unkn kids, cats Energy level: Moderate Highlights: highly intelligent, likes snuggling Region: Middle East Mmmmm, aren't I just scrumptious, like candy? Toblerone here. I am quite smart and just look at my luxurious brownish coat. My foot had been run over by a car when I was found. I lost a toe because of it. No worries, I have 15 others to help me walk. I have no trouble running and playing like everybody else. I am good with female dogs, but can get into trouble with other males sometimes. You know how us boys can be, trying to compete. Never been around kids or cats, so no knowledge of how I might get along with them. I will need some basic training, as I am not yet house trained. I really haven't much been in a house. But, my intelligence should lend to quick learning. I am a very kind dog and I can be playful, so I hope you will enjoy teaching me some games. Of course, I am not opposed to just snuggling either though. See my contented look and smiley face in the photos? Sure hope you are ready to bring me into your home soon. I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. My adoption fee is $500.00 CAD + applicable taxes, this includes my airfare to Canada. Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. Togo Breed: Husky Age: 3 yrs. Gender: M, neutered Wgt/Hgt: 51 lbs / 22 inches  Activity level: high energy Relations: good with other dogs & cats/ unknown kids Highlights: friendly, strong, resilient, athletic, energetic Region: Middle East “We are young, heartache to heartache, we stand… life is a battle field…” Wait! I think I got the lyrics wrong. Anyway, it’s true, you know? Life is a battle field for some dogs like me. But it didn’t stop me. I am strong and resilient, and still have a nice demeanor you’d enjoy being around.  My name’s Togo. As you can see from the pics, I had a rough time before being rescued. I suffered unspeakable abuse and when I was found as a stray, the nice people who saved me had to take me to vet who said I needed to undergo surgery. I had a wire wrapped around my muzzle, and it looked pretty bad. (The original photos are extremely graphic and are available upon request.) My story isn’t one I like remembering much, and my rescuers don’t have the details either. They think I was stolen or abandoned, but I can’t remember anymore. All there is now from that awful past are the scars I bare. But those are battle scars; they are proof of my courage and bravery.  I’ve underwent two surgeries to fix my mouth area and I’m still standing strong and handsome. Look at my eyes and they’ll tell you all you need to know. I finally completed a third & finally surgery to get a portion of my upper jaw fixed, and everything seems great. Check my photos with that crazy vone on. Yes, my majestic coat was shaved off to keep me cool after surgery. It will all grow back though. My rescuer has discovered I love the water and car rides too. I didn’t come this far to not find my perfect home in Canada, right? Since I’m not used to having a real family, I don’t know how to walk on a leash, but I’m sure I’ll learn as soon as I start taking walks with you. Who can resist going out to have fun?  I do like people, adults are my favorite! They’re the ones I enjoy spending time with. They get me. And I do well with other dogs. See my video playing. I now do okay with cats, as you can see my photo sleeping snuggled together. My friends here think I’d be better living in a home with no children though. I’m friendly with them, but maybe not to be around at all times. I certainly need a lot of love and attention to make the transition smoother, so being just me or having one other pup at home would be fine. Hey, we can share some great moments doing things grownups do, can’t we? My energy level is high. I mean, I’m a husky after all. So I’d be the perfect companion for exercising and for as many great adventures as you can imagine, like going to the park or to get some groceries or taking hikes. That sounds fantastic! I really want to explore the wonders of the world that I haven’t been able to see. Would you let me be that companion for you? I’ll be ready to fly as soon as everything goes back to normal. You can help me heal all the scars in my soul with your love and I’ll make sure to fill your life with the strength and happiness you have never experienced. Let’s have the time of our lives together, discovering new grounds of happiness and affection.  I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. My adoption fee is $500.00 CAD + applicable taxes, this includes my airfare to Canada. I am soooo ready for my family now. Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. TRIPP (Teddy) Breed: Aidi (most similar to an Australian Shepard) Age: 1 year Gender: m, neutered Wgt/Hgt: 55 lbs / almost 24 inches Energy level: moderate to active Relations: good with dogs / unknown cats & kids Highlights: playful, devoted, likes playing ball Region: Middle East Ok, so protecting your home is a good job and I will alert you to any invader, but that is not my main drive. I like being with people and am a very devoted boy. I was found by a kind woman when I was a puppy. Someone just left me in a busy street in the Middle East. Who does that kind of thing? Well, I hung out with her for a few months, now I am in a garden. I can't stay here long though. Since my country is a tough & dangerous place to be for dogs, I have learned to bark & snarl if a strange person comes to the house or up to the car. So probably a bit of time and training to desensitize to things would be helpful. Meeting people, getting treats, just learning I am finally safe will likely chill down any tendency of feeling threatened. I would probably benefit from a strong confident sibling in my new home. Even a goofy, happy dog could teach me that my new home is a safe place full of love. Once I am properly introduced and I know a person is a friend, then things are fine. I do tend to get along great with women. Men take a while and I will show this protective nature towards them at first too. I get along with other dogs, though I haven't been around cats or children. Plenty of time to run around getting my energy out at the parks or a decent size back yard to play in would be good. I'd love to have another dog to play with, but that is not a requirement. A couple of enjoyable things I like to do are playing ball and running. I love running. Are you a jogger? We could spend time together in the great outdoors. My breed tends to be energetic, agile, intelligent, alert and quite loyal. Also, we are a sensitive breed, so positive reinforcement training works best, rather than scolding. I hope you are looking for a pal who will stick with you through think and thin. That's me.   I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. Tweety (Special Needs) (Mexico)

Rhodesian Ridgeback

Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wai... show more

Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. Hello kind hoomans! Tweety here, and boy do I have a story for you. Firstly, I’m a 2.5 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Lab mixed pooch from the streets of Mexico. I’m a big, handsome boy; I’m 35 kg and stand about 45cm tall. Here’s my story: I was living on the streets as a stray pup when I was run over by a car. I was hurt badly and laid on the side of the road for 6 days before someone found me. Finally, someone scooped me up and took me to the dog pound, where I would have been euthanized had my amazing rescuer not stepped in. My angel of a rescuer took me to the vet and paid for the surgery to fix my injuries! The vet says that I have a good chance at a normal doggy life if I receive the proper care while I recover. I currently have some “wheels” that help me get around while my hind legs heal. The vet is optimistic that I will be able to walk again, however there are no guarantees. I may need some physiotherapy when I get to my forever home; maybe that would increase my chances of walking again! If not though, I’m still a happy boy to use my wheels. Unfortunately, my rescuer can no longer provide for me. Due to a lack of funds, my rescuer cannot afford my treatment. I am currently living in a dog shelter, however that is no place for a pup to recover from big surgery! I’m such a good boy and I so deserve a second chance at life; I just hope somebody decides to adopt me soon! I take a few medications every day to help with my recovery (Gabapentin, Vitamin B12). I will need to be on these medications for 6 to 9 months. After that, I should be good to go! I will need my adopter to be patient as I regain my strength. I’m sure with time, patience, yummy treats, and LOTS of love, I will regain my quality of life and will be such a happy boy! Now, about my awesome personality! I like walks (even with my wheels!) and LOVE to be loved. I am noble and trainable; however I do have some territorial issues with other dogs sometimes. I’m not a fan of kitty cats and prefer female dogs over male dogs. I would flourish in a single-dog home – what can I say, I just want all the attention! I promise to repay your single-doggy loyalty with loads of kisses and tail wags!   Check out my pictures & videos: Picture 1: My handsome face, hehe Picture 2: Me laying on the side of the road, six days after being hit by the car. Unable to move my back legs. Picture 3: Me in the Dog Pound, where I would have been euthanized. Pictures 4 & 5: Me awaiting surgery at the vet. Picture 6: Post-surgery! We can be best buds, I’m sure of it!   I am neutered and vaccinated. My adoption fee of $350 + applicable taxes includes my airfare to Canada. Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   Hey Canada - are you ready for me?  I am sooooooo ready for you. My name is Ulrik and I appear to be a Norfolk Terrier now that they've cleaned me up and cut all those awful matts out of my fur. It's so good to be able to see the world again. You have no idea how horrible it felt to be weighed down by all that dirty hair pulling on my skin. My age is thought to be around a year and a half, and I weigh approximately 17lb. I'm a short but sturdy little fella and I have a calm nature, even in the midst of the chaos.  I bet you would find me a soothing companion. I really can't remember how I came to be wandering the streets of Hangzhou, but I'm very glad I was picked up by the dog control people, even though it was scary at the time.  Who knows what would have happened to me otherwise. Anyway, what matters now is that I am healthy and ready to start my life with you. I know it might take a while before we can be together, but I am the kind of dog who believes good things come to those who wait.   I'll be here, waiting for you.   I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 + applicable taxes includes my airfare to Canada. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website,  http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/  and to read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.    Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of the descriptions. Remember, every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person leading him and the environment. The age and breed of a dog is almost always an educated guess and at no time do we promise or guarantee the age or breed of a dog.    Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. Hi Canada! Lookin’ for a forever Valentine? Well look no further, she’s right here! My name is Valentine and I am an adorable lab-mix from Bahrain. I am a 3-year old cutie pie who weighs 60 pounds and stands about 24 inches tall. I’m super friendly with all dogs, kitty cats, and children! I will admit, I have a wee bit of a tummy at the moment, but I’m sure with lots of walks and adventures, I’ll have my “summer-bod” ready in no time! What’s my story? Well, it’s a bit unknown. All my rescuers know is that I was a stray on the streets of Bahrain. They took me in when I was just a little pup and thank goodness they did! They have kept me safe and sound at the BARC shelter ever since. It has been a few years now though and I reallyyyyy wish I had a home to call my own. Aren’t I adorable?? Check out this video of me enjoying a belly rub… ohhhh I LOVE the belly rubs! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYZTvwK6_DU&feature=youtu.be) I’m pretty good on a leash and am smart enough to learn some real leash manners once I have a human of my own to train me! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aW2waGa1EwY&feature=youtu.be). Oh how I’d love to have a human who is dedicated to helping me grow into the best pup I can be! I know I really can be the best! I told you I was good with kitty cats, right? Well, if you don’t believe me, take a look at my video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PwbOJ9XgXA&feature=youtu.be). See?! I ain’t lying! This Valentine is great with both the canines and the felines! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzjziDdDsjw&feature=youtu.be) I love humans. Like, La-la-la-la-LOVE them! I am all smiles when I’m getting some attention from people (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61L-c4RTgcw&feature=youtu.be). Don’t I seem fun? I guarantee I’d be a great cuddle companion for you! How about a deal? If you take me for lots of walks and give me belly rubs, I’ll repay you in doggy kisses and tail-wags. Deal?! Oh, I’ll also give you my unconditional love; I hope you will too! I am spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. Helloo to my future family! My name is Victoria, pleasure to meet you! I’m a 2 year old saluki/boxer mix from Bahrain; an adorable cutie pie weighing 48 pounds and standing 21 inches tall. Check out my beautiful markings… ain’t I pretty?! Word on the street is that I’m a total sweetheart too! A while ago, me and my bro were found hiding under a water tank on a construction site. As you can imagine, a construction site is not a very nice place for two young pups; it was so hot out there and we never had enough food or water. Luckily, we were found by our amazing rescuers and we have been kept safe at the shelter and had food in our tummies ever since. Growing up at the shelter, I was surrounded by other dogs and kitty cats. Because of this, I’ve grown into a very tolerant young lady; I love other dogs (although I can be shy at first) and I don’t mind being around cats. Check out my video, surrounded by cats and dogs and I’m just chillin’ and wagging my tail! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmOyRYMkj7E&feature=youtu.be) See, I told you, I’m quite the catch! After almost two-years in a shelter, I long for a home of my own. I love people and I’d love to have endless ear rubs and belly scratches; treats and a cozy bed sound nice too. OOH also I’d love to go for lots of hikes and walks! I’ve heard soooo many good things about the beautiful Pacific North West… it really sounds like my cup of tea (or bowl of kibble, hehe). I’m still a young and youthful dog, so I have a moderate amount of energy. After a daily walk and maybe a trip to the dog park, I will gladly spend the afternoon snoozing beside you on the couch. Do you think you could be my furever family? I’d really like to find them soon! I am spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. My adoption fee of $550 + applicable taxes includes my airfare to Canada. WILLI - pending adoption

Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   Here I am -  Willi; your hopeful candidate for the role of best friend, constant companion and possible lap warmer. (Since I weigh only 12lb and barely reach 12 inches at my shoulders, you could easily fit me on your lap, couldn't you?). I am a one year old terrier mix - slim like a Border terrier, but short like a Cairn terrier - and I am just dying to get out of this noisy, crowded shelter and find a home where I can finally get some love and attention.  Even though it may be a while before I can join you, just knowing I have a home waiting would be so awesome. Please pick me to be yours. They brought me here after finding me at the side of a busy road on the outskirts of Shanghai. Typically the city police go round picking up all the stray dogs and then taking them to the back to the police compound. From there the shelters come to collect the lucky ones, so I suppose I should think of myself as fortunate to be here.  The thing is I can't relax here. There are too many other dogs and so much noise. It's hard to feel confident in a place like this when you are as small as I am. It's not that I don't like other dogs; in fact I have made friends with some of them here; it's just that there are so many. Once I go to live in a real home I would be perfectly happy to share my space with a dog or even a cat, but what I am longing for, above all else, is some human attention. You can see how tolerant I am of this dog and cat, even though I think the dog may have pee'd on me a little bit!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eesa6LEnUbk&feature=youtu.be At first I will probably be a bit shy, but I have no doubt that once I have adjusted to my new world, I will soak up the love.  My little legs may not make me the ideal running companion, but if you're looking for a dog you can take for moderate walks, who is easy to pick up and pop in the car, or tuck in beside you on the couch, who will be forever grateful that you picked him, then please stop right here, right now and fill out the adoption application. Thank you, thank you. Now I have a future to look forward to.   I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 + applicable taxes includes my airfare to Canada. WOODY (S.Korea)

Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   Hi, I'm Woody, a handsome Shepherd/Akita mix from S.Korea. The staff at the shelter here describe me as a 2 year old puppy because of my playful, friendly nature. At 25 inches tall and 53lb I'm definitely not a puppy, but I certainly have that youthful spirit. I was picked up as a stray and taken to the Pyeongtaek City pound. Believe me, you don't want to end up there if you can avoid it, especially if you're over 25lb and even more so if you have black fur. You just don't stand a chance of getting adopted and will quickly end up on the euthanasia list.   Luckily I was spotted by a private rescue group who took me out of there and are now caring for me until I find a home in North America. You'll find I am the kind of dog who just loves people. I'll greet strangers with a wagging tail in the hope they'll pet me. If they need further enouragement I'll roll onto my back and show them by adorable belly. Most people find it hard to resist me at that point.  With half-pint humans I am even more relaxed and friendly and will encourage snuggling where possible. I'd make a good companion for another dog if you have one, though I don't usually enjoy overly boisterous play until I feel comfortable with new dog friends. It's always a good idea to monitor new introductions and keep things calm at first. Once the initial getting-to-know you phase has passed, I can be very playful and energetic with similar sized dogs. I'm also fine with smaller dogs and will respect their boundaries. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJ13FRJvPUk&list=PL3UlJJYID8eFKpFhGcnAV7Ow6_kBeY4wG&index=3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2A24qASKdY&list=PL3UlJJYID8eFKpFhGcnAV7Ow6_kBeY4wG&index=4 When it comes to cats I appear to have minimal interest. I basically sniffed and turned away when I met one recently. Of course, it's always important to introduce dogs and cats very carefully and gradually.  Overall I'm a happy guy and eager-to-learn. If you're the kind of person who is interested in training me you'll find I listen well and make lots of eye contact.  I love toys and nose-work.  I'd like a home with someone who will take me for plenty of walks and let me run around a bit at the dog park. As long as I have my daily exercise I'd be very happy to snuggle up or chill out with you at home. In fact, just the thought of having a real home and a human who loves me makes me so happy. I can't wait for it to happen.   I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee of $550 + applicable taxes, includes my airfare to Canada. Zaza - adoption pending

Beagle

Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   Oh hello. I was hoping you would stop by, but I wasn't confident you would notice me.  But since you have, my name is Zaza and I'm pleased to meet you. I am a 2 year old mix of beagle and dachsund, weighing in at 22lb, with a height of 14 inches. They spotted me after I'd been dumped in the middle of two major highways. It took over two hours to catch me as I was petrified of all that traffic, not to mention the strange man chasing me.  When I first arrived here at the Shanghai shelter I was quite a playful dog, but over time I've had little opportunity to interact much with people and so I've become nervous around them.  Today was photograph day. It's not easy for a shy dog like me to handle this sudden attention. Normally I do my own thing here among all the other dogs, just sniffing stuff and trotting around saying hello to my canine friends. But today, the people suddenly wanted to grab me and take my picture. It was a little bit scary. I know you can see from my expression that I was worried. You see, I'm the kind of dog who needs someone patient and calm to teach me what it's like to be loved. I've become used to being ignored and I've lost my confidence. I want to go back to being the playful, happy dog I once was.   Could you help me rediscover the pleasure of being held and petted? Will you be my person - the one I lost all hope of finding?   I am spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 + applicable taxes includes my airfare to Canada.
