About ATOM ANT (special needs) ME - adoption pending

Adoption Fee: $350

Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait.

Atom Ant
Breed: Pointer/Saluki mix
Age: 1-1/2 years
Wgt/hgt: 44 lbs/ 19-3/4 inches
Gender: M, will remain intact
Relations: Good with dogs/ unknown cats & kids
Activity level: Moderate for cart dog
Highlights: Rear disabled, sweet, good with other dogs
Region: Middle East

I am a very sweet, young boy who was in dire need, as my shelter was closing down. Thankfully, a lovely person in Canada has offered to foster me, so I have been taken in by my rescuer until I can get a flight there.

I was found with all my legs tied up with a rope and run over by a car. I endured hellish pain. Some rescuers stepped in and I underwent severe surgery enduring pain and hardship for several months, but I was still able to recover.

So, I was kept at a place after surgery, but because of improper care, I was hospitalized. I was then taken to my current shelter. It is extremely difficult to find homes for able bodies dogs, let alone one paralyzed. If a place for me had not been found, they feared they would have to euthanize me. Such a shame after so much was done to save me. Now, I have a chance at a new life.

Though alas, I am paralyzed forever and can never play like other dogs... I have so much love to give and cuteness of personality to show you.

You may think it may be sad for me to be disabled, but it is just the way my life is and I enjoy being alive and able to share my love of life with others. LALDR will provide a cart for me once I am in my new home, so I can learn to zip around like Lightning McQueen, Mario Andretti, Speedy Gonzales, Usain Bolt... Hahaa.

I have no issues with other dogs and although I haven't been around cats, it might be hard for me to go after them. I also haven't been around children yet.

If you are up for a loving little buddy to snuggle up with, then you've come to the right bio. Here I am. Up and at 'em, Atom Ant.

Neutering has been deemed unsafe for me by the vet, so I will remain intact. Darn, I still can't do anything, even if I could get to the girls though.

I have not been spayed/neutered, but am *vaccinated & micro-chipped.
My adoption fee is $350.00 CAD + applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada.

Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   My name is Cowboy and I'm a handsome mix of Jindo and Great Pyrenees. I am a year old, weigh 55lb and measure 25 inches. I was found as a stray and taken to a high kill shelter. Since big dogs like me are not popular here in S.Korea, I was soon put on the euthanasia list. Just in time someone from another rescue group saved me.  When I first came to the shelter I was tested and found to be heartworm postitive. Fortunately it was only stage 2, so I was treated and cleared on April 25, 2020. Now I'm ready for a new life with my forever family. I am a calm dog who is a little shy with strangers at first meeting, but soon relaxes after a little petting and kind words. Here I am meeting a stranger: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkhXYa0Ax3U&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHqxnSqn0qkzwSLFmhxJO9v and this is me gently accepting a treat from a child: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc9n1qS5-ZY&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHqxnSqn0qkzwSLFmhxJO9v&index=2 Around bigger dogs I tend to be a little more cautious when I introduce myself, just until I know they like me, but with smaller ones I'm quickly at ease and I become quite puppy-like in my play style. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_i7yJ4GpFA&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHqxnSqn0qkzwSLFmhxJO9v&index=3 Though I really don't see the attraction, I accept that some of you humans seem to enjoy living with cats. Personally I find them a little intimidating and I'll avoid them if I can. If living with you means sharing the home with a cat, then I'll just have to suck it up! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCXzUvOCMPQ&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHqxnSqn0qkzwSLFmhxJO9v&index=6 While I am not a super high energy dog I do enjoy going for walks and will stick close by my handler as we explore. It's quite possible that I will become more energetic once I have the opportunity for longer walks and more active outdoor time.  I'd love the chance to find out. What I really want you to know is that I am a dog with the sweetest nature who is gentle with everyone and everything. I would rather drop a treat on the ground than risk offending you by grabbing it greedily.  So do you think we could be the perfect match? I hope so.     I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 includes my airfare to Canada Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website,  http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/  and to read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.    Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. Good day. I am Damon and I am a 5 year old, possibly Shepard mix. I suppose there could be a bit of a sighthound breed in me too. Weighing in at almost 73 lbs and around 35 inches tall, I am a very kind and quite friendly dog.  When I was found, my rescuers said it seemed like I was begging for help. I came near to them, showed my leg and sat down. The gentle look in my eyes, told them to take me. My front leg was cut at the the wrist and was severely swollen. This was how they found me: https://youtu.be/ZYag0q778Pc, https://youtu.be/qkNNAYKklZc. The vet amputated it, as it was developing an infection. It was awful. When my rescuers questioned people about my paw, they were told somebody cut it off as punishment for eating his hens. This sadistic evil doer wanted to shoot me dead, but decided to do this instead to make me feel severe pain. So, now I live as a tripaw, but it hasn't affected my sweet disposition. I long for closeness and give only love in return. https://youtu.be/A3Zm6F6S0BY I like very much to play. You won't find me feeling sorry for myself, no siree. I want to run around and have fun now that my leg is not an issue.  I have never been around kitties, but I am great with people. I am good with other dogs & kids too. https://youtu.be/zvlxDwHK6qs. A good home would be one who wants to play games with me, while respecting my limitations. Moderate activity would be good. Not a requirement. But I am on board if you have another dog to be buddies with too. I hope you have rooming your heart and home for a super sweet, loving boy like me. Another vid, https://youtu.be/LFYZvVwH2PM. I am sooooo waiting to reach Canada: https://youtu.be/leVjUVOH9XE. Daniel (Billy) -  Foster lined up. Thanks. Breed: Shepard/Pointer Age: 1 yr Gender: male, neutered Wgt/Hgt: 43 lbs / 20 inches Energy level: moderate to active Relations: good with dogs / unknown cats & kids Highlights: house trained, polite, loves to play ball I was saved from a horribly painful death at the hands of monstrous people in the Middle East. They had doused me with gasoline and were about to light me on fire, when my rescuer swooped in and pulled me put of the situation. They also cut my ears & tail off. https://youtu.be/PARiXHddxMo. My rescuer planned to keep me, but the neighbors have complained. People here in the Middle East still think dogs are unclean. It is all bogus of course, but they need to relearn that dogs are good. Anyway, the police have given my family here a month to get me out. That means by the end of November. You will find I like to please and am quite the polite little boy. Bonus, I am already house trained. I will likely be a medium-large sized dog, so I hope you like lots of big loving coming your way. I like other dogs, though haven't been around kitties or kids yet. Being I am yet a puppy and a sweet one at that, it is likely I could get along fine with respectful children. It is just that I have not been tested with any yet. See how bouncey, trouncey I am in my vids. Maybe agility sports should be in my future. https://youtu.be/X3RXe_K44Sk, https://youtu.be/AKLG2v6gCN8. I love to play ball. So, I hope you like to do fun activities like that. Maybe some hiking or ball playing at the dog park? While I am young I will probably be fairly active. Once I mature, probably moderate to active.  There is someone there for me reading this now, I just know it. Please help me and keep my rescuer from crying. She is distraught over this. I will be your lifelong buddy... and cuddle bud and playmate and... well, you get the picture. Update: I have been chosen by a loving adopter & am currently with a rescuer until a flight is found.   I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. They will make you slow down and take notice. I am a very kind and smart pup, though I am a bit shy yet. Just give me a little time and I should be A-ok to mingle though Me and my siblings (Domino & Donegal) were found in the street when we were young puppies. Our mama died of an infection, so our rescuer made sure we would be safe. We are with her mother right now, but can only stay a limited time. We will have to go to a shelter soon, if we don't find homes. I should be around 65 lbs and perhaps 22 inches or so tall when full grown. There is a kitty in our current home, so we are fine with a cat. Although I haven't been around children yet, I am a young puppy still, so capable of learning to live with them. I do have a bit of a sensitive stomach to some foods, like eggs. They will make me sick or I don't digest them as well. I could probably use some pre & probiotics to help with this. Also, I don't like feeling hungry, so may need a few smaller meals rather than a couple big ones. It would be nice to be able to go out and play like normal puppies, but sadly it isn't safe here in our country for us to do that. Here I am wrestling with my sister and a tiny dog. https://youtu.be/rv1hb8QSGeo. You would have soooo much fun taking a puppy to the dog park or hiking or to the beach, wouldn't you? If you have another dog in your home already, that would be super. Not only would I have a playmate, but I could learn from them about the North American way of life too. Ah, how I dream of green grass to play on, snow to romp in, sand to wiggles my toes through and a lake in which to bound in with a splash. My energy is like any other puppy - bouncey trouncey, but as I mature, I will be at about a moderate level. I'd certainly love to get out of here. Signing off for now. I have not been spayed/neutered, as I am too young yet. I am *vaccinated & micro-chipped though. My adoption fee is $600.00 CAD, this includes my airfare to Canada. My spay/neuter is mandatory for my adoption to be finalized. I'd love to get out running around, but then come home and get some belly rubs. Aaah, to relax in my very own home, in my very own bed, with my very own family. What a dream come true. I would do fine with another dog in the family too. So no worries there. Here I am hanging out with my sis: https://youtu.be/JqO0sYf3pXU. Being a puppy, I like to romp around, but I really enjoy just hangin' out and getting belly scratches, chomping on a toy & watching things around me. You know, the suave, sophisticated, observant James Bond type. Wink. Another doggie friend would be great. I have my sisters to play with right now, but it would be awesome to have a bud there too. So, what do you want to do first? Go to the beach? Snowshoeing? Bet I could learn to ski-jor. Maybe we could go for a nice country drive and take in the sights... well, the smells for me. Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. Elvy here! You can call me Elvis, if ya want. I am a 5 year-old, cool, calm, collected dude from Bahrain. My rescuers think I might be a Saluki-mix, but regardless, I’m just a super duper cute mixed breed of Bahrain awesomeness. I am a good sized pooch, weighing about 65 pounds and standing about 28 inches tall. Big news, I am awesome with dogs and cats! Check out my video, I ain’t lying! I know, awesome right? Thank you, thank you, thank you very much. My siblings and I had a rough start in life. We were found on an abandoned worksite, along with our mom, when we were just newborn pups. Fortunately a kind watchman on the property looked after us until the construction project started. At that point, we were moved to a rescue centre. In 2017, I moved to a new rescue home, The Centre. The people here treat me very well, but I'm still patiently waiting for a family of my own. Oh how I long to have a home filled with love, treats, belly rubs, and walks! All about me: My rescuers say that I am very gentle natured, slightly shy in new situations, submissive, sweet, and very loving. I am also incredibly tolerant, as you can see in this video of me being jumped all over by puppies, new dogs, and cats (   ). I take it all in great stride! Oooh I also LOVE to walk! These big long legs were made for walking! (   ) I feel like I would quickly fall in love with hiking the big, beautiful mountains in Canada that I’ve heard so much about! I have been neutered, vaccinated & micro-chipped. I’m all ready to come to Canada any time!! My adoption fee is $500.00 CAD, which includes my airfare to Canada.    Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Fando (Fandogh) Breed: Regional Shepherd Mix Age: 2 years old Gender: Female, spayed Wgt/Hgt 63 lbs, 32 inches tall Energy Level: Medium Relations: Good with children & small dogs and mostly male dogs, Not good with cats, chickens... Highlights: house trained, calm, loves playing ball Region: Middle East People of the Pacific Northwest, look no further, you've found me! I'm a sweet girl, just looking for a place to settle down and enjoy love and kindness. My name is Fando (Hazelnut in Persian). It's a beautiful name for a lady like me, don't you think? So why Hazelnut? I was rescued when I was just three weeks old, from a busy street in the Middle East. Neighbors say us babies were kicked out of a person's yard. My rescuer carried me home in her arms and thought I was so tiny, I was just like a hazelnut. Things have sure changed since that first day. I'm all grown up and am a big, strong girl with an adorable face and personality to match. I'm calm, as well as good with small dogs, children and mostly male dogs. I'd do well in a family setting, as long as there are no feline family members - or chickens, for that matter. I'm excited for the prospect of joining you over there. I hear you have balls to play with and snacks to chew on! That sounds like heaven. I love playing with my ball. Perhaps we can go on some adventures together? I hear PNW families can be pretty outdoorsy - I've never been on a hike in the forest, or gone swimming in a lake - it sounds amazing! Even just sitting outside with you while you barbeque and garden would be a dream come true for me. I'm ready to set down roots and be your little nut for the rest of my days. I'm so excited to meet you in person. It will be worth the wait! And then you can tell everyone our story about how it was love at first sight! And then love at first walk, and love at first lick, and love at first snuggle. All these lovely memories are just waiting to be made. If you feel the same way I do, please consider clicking Adopt.  I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. My adoption fee is $500.00 CAD, this includes my airfare to Canada. My name is Fanta and I have the strongest feeling that I could make you so happy.  I know you could transform my life. I am a 2 1/2 year old mixture of all things good. I mostly look like an itty bitty golden lab, but I'm quite petite; just 22lb and 16 inches tall.  They brought me to this shelter after finding me on the streets of Shanghai and now my main goal in life is to get out of here and find a home so I can spend more time with humans.  You see, this place just has too many darn dogs. Over 300 of us!  It's pretty amazing really that we all get along so well. Secretly, I'm always hoping  that Nana, the special lady that runs the place, will single me out for extra attention, so that's why I'm always trying to be a quiet and good little dog.  Since I'm not one to push to the front of the crowd and draw attention to myself, I just have to hope that she spots me sitting quietly by the fence and will come over to pet me.  It feels sooooo good to be petted. If you bring me home I will repay you with such gratitude that you will wonder how you managed to get by without my adoration.  If you feel like going for a walk, then I certainly will too. If you want to nap, then count me in. If your lap is chilly I'd happily use my body to warm it up. See; you need me! Just let me know what you are looking for in a doggy companion and I will do my best fill that role.   I am spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 includes my airfare to Canada. Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. FEMORIK Breed: Smooth Coat Collie/Shepard Age: 1 yr Gender: Male, neutered Wgt/Hgt: 55 lbs / 30 inches Energy level: Medium Relations: Good with Dogs & Cats / kids unknown Highlights: Friendly and Outgoing Region: Middle East Can this dog with a limp make your heartbeat skip? Can I skip along with you? Can this dog with a grin make your spirit sing? Can I sing along with you? Can this ball of fluff, who has had it rough find true love with you? Hello beautiful people. Okay, so I might not be a poet, but I got a winning personality and I'm sure we would be great friends! I'm currently living at a shelter in the Middle East. I ended up here after being rescued from a drug addict. At the time of my rescue, I had a broken back leg. It's been repaired successfully through surgery and I'm now pain free. I have retained a bit of a limp but it doesn't cause me any problems or slow me down at all. I really like to think of it as a skip more than a limp - because it doesn't hurt. Also, as you can see from my video, my tail works perfectly! I love being around people and other dogs and get my wiggle wag going. Am I the right dog for you? I sure hope so. I am very friendly and get along really well with other dogs and even cats!  I haven't been exposed to any children. I'd probably do well in an adult home. A fenced back yard would be amazing too.... and my very own bed too!  Wowee!! You see, I haven't had very much to call my own so far in life. By giving me a space in your family, you'd be giving this dog the whole world. In return, I'll give you all my love. Pretty great deal, right? A moderately active home would suit my needs just fine. Hopefully, you are waiting for a buddy to do all kinds of fun things with. Hopefully, I've got your attention and you see all my potential. I'm a very sweet dog that just can't wait to start life in his forever home. Please consider clicking adopt, and we can skip away into the sunset and live happily ever after.   I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. My adoption fee is $550.00 CAD, this includes my airfare to Canada.   Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Golpari Breed: Golden Retriever/Lab Age: 5 yrs Gender: fe, spayed Wgt/Hgt: 51 lbs / 25-1/2 inches Energy level: moderate Relations: good with dogs, kids / unknown cats Highlights: Super sweet, people oriented I was found as a young pup of maybe 5 months old, living by the city garbage dump. I had very bad mange, as you can see by my photo. The people whom saved me transferred me over to a shelter. There, they treated me for mange, but each summer it came back. Until finally, they got some great stuff from the US to use. Now, my mange problem is gone and my fur has grown back in beautifully. See my bright Auburn coat? My rescuer says whoever adopts me won't be sorry. The shelter says I am the  sweetest, kindest dog around. I act real cute too. Here I am at the shelter: https://youtu.be/fZ0yWNOCeGg. I am loveable to people, dogs and even kids. I haven't been around cats though, so best a non kitty home, because I just have no idea how I would react to one. I am a playful girl too, so we should be able to have some good fun. I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. My adoption fee is $500.00 CAD, this includes my airfare to Canada.   Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. Gumdrop (Gandom) Breed: Whippet mix Age: 1-1/2 yrs Gender: Fe, spayed Wgt/Hgt: 44 lbs / 23 inches Energy level: moderate to high Relations: good with dogs / kids & cats unknown Highlights: Energetic, smart, sweet Region: Middle East Region: Middle East A person found me here in the Middle East and saw the bone of my back leg was sticking out from my muscle and it was bleeding a lot. This rescuing angel knew I was in great pain, because I was constantly screaming. She brought me to the doctor and had my leg operated on. Sadly, they could not entirely fix the damage and so my leg was cut off above the infection point to avoid the infection spreading to my body. So, here I am a tripaw... but I am alive. I tend to be a kind hearted girl to others, whether it is people or other dogs. https://youtu.be/9UXI_AhV0Zw. Not sure about cats, I have never been introduced to one yet. I am certainly friendly, but I would likely want to chase one. I love people so much, I am sure I would be fine with kids too. I enjoy playing and playing and playing some more. I do not seem to need rest, maybe I am the original Energizer bunny. Look at my cheery face, ready to brighten your day. https://youtu.be/O1Grad1JbrM. It is likely an apartment would not be the best situation. Probably the best home would be one that is quite active. Folks who are constantly up and about, going places and doing things. Gee, the dog park would provide us hours of fun things to do. Oh, I bet we could try many things. You will have to gauge how strenuous an activity I can do. But, I will want to try it all. Hiking in the forest, running on the beach, let's go. Oooh, I so want to be able to really run around, not be stuck in a shelter with limited area to run. Having a yard for my energy level is probably an important thing. If you had plenty of space, that would be soooo special, especially if you had a dog friend already there to play with. Please bring me to Canada soon, before I go stir crazy here. I could provide you with endless amusement. Newer vid: https://youtu.be/Du7W1PFAh70   I am spayed/neutered, *vaccinated and microchipped.
