About Cayenne (Has Application)

Adoption Fee: $395 for Adult Dogs and Puppies

HARLEY: Labrador mix, Male, 4 years old, 80 lbs.
CAYENNE: Pocket bully mix, Male, 3 years old, 43 lbs (short and stout)

Personality: Eager to please, friendly, funny, playful, adventurous, loyal, a snuggler, a good running partner, affectionate, goofy, and trainable.
Observations with Dogs: Both are good with other dogs, but Cayenne can be very vocal when he plays, which sometimes intimidates other dogs.
Observations with Cats: Good during shelter cat test. Curious but not aggressive.
Observations with Kids: Untested
House Training Progress: Lived in a home with together prior to adoption. No recent accidents.
Crate Training Progress: They are trusted to be uncrated when home alone.
Location: DC area foster
Rescued From: Bladen County, NC
Additional Information: Cayenne and Harley are a great pair of bonded puppers who came to the shelter after their person became critically ill. They have lived in a home and were well taken care of. They love one another very much as seen in their daily play and cuddle sessions. Harley is very gentle and sweet, while Cayenne is a house hippo who wants all the attention. They entertain themselves throughout the day, playing tug of war, napping and watching outside.

City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR&CK has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first served model).

Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR&CK. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Bordatella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.

Most cats and dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

Name: Baby Suspected Breed(s): Domestic Short Hair Gender: Female Age: 2 years Weight: 8 lbs Personality: Quiet, Friendly, Independent, Curious, Affectionate, Adventurous, Snuggler, Smart Observations with Dogs: Unknown Observations with Cats: Unknown Observations with Kids: Unknown House Training Progress: Good litterbox manners Location: Washington DC foster home Rescued From: Bladen County, NC Additional Information: Baby is a petite kitty who's brimming with confidence, just like her namesake in Dirty Dancing. She can't do the cha-cha yet, but she's loving and sweet. She not only likes pets, Baby seeks them out, standing on her hind paws to reach for those head and chin scritches. She'll tell you she's happy with her purrs and when she's ready to eat, she'll ask with the tiniest of meows; it's more of a chirp, really. Baby will sometimes play with toys, but giving and sharing love is clearly her priority. Nobody puts Baby in a corner, but come meet her and you'll want to give her your forever home! ________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application.
