Arjay is a 2 year old Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix. If you are looking for a little shadow- look no further! He loves to be with his people - his favorite people are the ones who respect his space and let him bond with them over time. Once he claims you, he will never leave your side. He enjoys the company of dogs but isn’t big on rambunctious playing so a confident, calmer, buddy would be best for him. Cats worry him but he is nice to them. He loves to be outside and is doing well with housebreaking. He will be neutered before he goes home which will greatly reduce his errors inside. Arjay hasn’t had much formal training but he likes to dance for his treats, comes when called, and overall has been a great little house guest. If you want a great little sidekick, Arjay is your man! Arjay cannot go home with children under 10. He prefers calmer, respectful, kids or adults. He will be neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $200, and you can apply to adopt him at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application

Hi! My name is Billy but my foster mom calls me Silly Billy! She tells me I’m a very special pup because although I may have had a rough start to life, I still love with all my heart. I started out way down in Louisiana. When the nice people from the shelter saved me from living all my whole life on the end of a chain, I was so skinny and scared! They took really good care of me until Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue in Michigan took over, and I began a brand new life up here in the north. I feel and look so much better now! All I need is my very own forever home. I do have some requirements for my family however. I’m pretty picky about the dogs I like, so I probably should be an only dog. I love cats way too much, and play too rough, so it's not a good idea for me to be around them. I need a fenced in yard for my own safety and the safety of my future family. I’d never want my family hurt by chasing me into traffic or something else just as scary. My people are my whole world! I’m also still a puppy; or at least I think I am. I am only about a year old and really need my future family to be 100% committed to doing training classes with me. I’m really smart and pick things up fast so I’d love learning new things with them. I've learned so much already with my foster folks! I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on my vaccines. I am so ready to go home. My adoption fee is only $200.

This is Happy, aka ‘Happy Apples’. He is such a special boy. We named him Happy, because if you spend even just a moment with him - he makes you happy. There is something very special and unique in him. He has very kind, beautiful, grateful eyes which help tell his story when you look into them. He’s a 5 year old Staffy Mix with special needs. He has a birth defect which left his front right arm quite a bit smaller than his other arm and legs. He moves pretty well despite this, but he is going to need a very kind and patient home. He is going to fill that lucky home with so much love. Happy is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $200. Pippy will melt your heart with her sweet disposition and is ready to bring joy to your family! We think she’s a senior (maybe around 8-10 years old) with all the grey on her face, but she’s got a lot of spunk for a 7 lb Chihuahua. Pippy loves being outdoors, sniffing out new smells, and has a ball rolling around in the yard. She is slowly getting used to a leash and does very well when going for a walk in the neighborhood. Indoors, she loves to hang out with people, and she is a pro at making herself a blanket cocoon for an afternoon nap. She is house-trained, crate-trained (LOVES her crate), and loosely knows the commands sit, stay, and come. Pippy is a little hesitant about new people, but she does well with other small dogs and doesn’t mind cats. If you’re on the lookout for a calm, good-hearted, old soul, then Pippy is the girl for you! She will be spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots prior to adoption. Her adoption fee is $200, and you can apply to adopt her at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application
