About Ernie

Adoption Fee: $300

Ernie is a 5-year-old collie mix with a shiny tan and white coat. Such a Looker! This boy is very laid back and sweet. He contents himself easily and doesn't need much stimulation. He'd love a home where he could just hang with his people and chill.

Ernie is definitely a people dog and if you're his person he'll shower you with kisses. He does best with adults although teenagers, 15-years-old and older would be the most likely to bond with Ernie. He does not like anyone or anything to get in his face and he prefers a quiet, non-chaotic environment. A home where Ernie is the only dog would be perfect. He has had dog friends in the past and done fine but because he prefers a calm environment, older, less energetic dogs would be the best companions for him. No large, dominant, loud or high energy dogs for this boy. Ernie is cat-friendly.

When you first meet Ernie he might be a bit timid and hold back some. Give him some time though and his mellow nature will gradually come out. Patience and lots of love and affection will be the keys to unlocking Ernie's true personality. Will you show him the "Importance of Being" Ernie?

This 3-year-old Brown Beauty is Belle. The petite pittie pooch is 50 pounds and is an absolute dream. She looks to her people for love and reassurance because Belle is a bit shy. This may explain why she is a cuddler extraordinaire! There is one thing Belle likes as much as hugs - toys! She loves toys. She loves to chase a toy or ball thrown for her but has not quite mastered the ‘return’ of fetch yet. So cute! Belle is comfortable both inside and outside. She walks well on a leash and loves to greet people in her neighborhood, though she is still very shy when initially meeting them. Her confidence has been building while in her new foster home. In fact, Belle has been attending outdoor martial arts classes with her foster mom. It is really helping her learn to trust people. It does take a bit longer with the men. While in foster, Belle has begun to learn about stairs, and she is really starting to get the hang of them. Occasionally, this little darling will nibble on a pillow or blanket near her face but her foster redirects the behavior, working to help Belle learn what is off limits. She enjoys leaning against her peeps, and likes a good belly rub. Belle is just such a love. She is a terrific dog and she is ready to be a part of YOUR family. Do you have a soft spot in your heart and your home for Belle? You can apply to adopt Belle at  Additional adoption criteria:  Any children in the home must be 12 years of age or older. show less
