About Piper

He is beginning to wonder if he will ever find out who’s a good boy. Meet Piper – he’s a good boy! Piper is a growing 3-month-old, Dachshund-Beagle blend boy who is nearly 6-pounds of cuddlebug. This easy going little pup is playful and affectionate, loves toys and balls and is oh-so-huggable. Piper gets along with other dogs, both big and small, gets along with kids, and is good on leash walks. He’s a sweetheart of a puppy and would be really happy with a family that can help him grow into a well behaved boy with proper canine manners.

Piper will need an active family to raise him, train him, and love him forever. He’s had a great start to his housetraining, and just like with any puppy, Piper needs a family who is able to give potty and play breaks to their new lovable fur baby every four hours. Who can resist the reward of those sweet puppy kisses? If you can see yourself posting pics of your new puppy all over social media, we’d love to learn more about you and have you fill out an adoption application. Piper is heartworm negative, vaccinated, and ready for his forever home.  He should be adopted in the Central Florida area for his puppy follow-up care - neuter and microchip - included in his adoption donation amount of $400.

Adoption Fee: $400

**Bonded: Amber must be adopted with Trixie** Trixie is a precious 3 year old ShihTzu blend that weighs 8.2 lbs and is true besties with Amber, a 3 year old, 11 lb ShihTzu blend. Trixie and Amber need a fenced in yard, as they love to explore this new world together and continue to work on becoming housebroken. Trixie is the leader and helps Amber to not only feel comfy and confident but helps her stay on the path to thriving in her new home, as Amber is a very sensitive/insecure girl. They need an owner that is patient and understanding of their special connection. Their favorite activity is lounging and relaxation. They bundle up in their blankies and sleep through the night. They also enjoy a bit of privacy when getting their treaties/dinner and are very well-mannered on car trips. Trixie is showing Amber her new interest in toys and still learning what playtime is herself. Their foster parents describe both girls as such a joy and love watching them learn from and support each other. If you are ready to help Amber and Trixie thrive together and become confident little ladies, we would love to know more about you. Please fill out an application. Both Trixie and Amber are vaccinated, heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped and ready for their forever home. Their adoption donation is $550. PLEASE NOTE: This is one of the dogs recently rescued from the “breeder” case.  These pups have lived their whole lives outside in rabbit hutches so they will need someone with patience, understanding, and lots of love to give. They haven’t had a lot of human interaction so would not be a fit in homes with very small children, loud sounds or too much commotion. They also likely won’t be big cuddlers right away because they have lived their lives without affection and need time to adjust. show less

The doggie data on Blondie: 8 years young, 10 lb. Miniature Poodle-Bichon blend girl. You know how they say how blondes have more fun? Well, Blondie takes that to heart! She is a playful, outgoing, and happy gal in search of her perfect match. She has faint cataracts but they do not require medication and she most certainly does not let them slow her down. She would love to have humans that are home more often than not to continue her housetraining. She does well with other dogs or she would be perfectly content being your Queen B! If you are looking for a loveable fluffball with a bubbly personality to boot, look no further and fill out an adoption application to see if there’s a match! Blondie is spayed, heartworm negative, has had her teeth recently polished, is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped and is ready to relax at her forever home. Her adoption donation is $325. PLEASE NOTE: This is one of the dogs recently rescued from the “breeder” case.  These pups have lived their whole lives outside in rabbit hutches so they will need someone with patience, understanding, and lots of love to give. The pooch profile on Dexter: 7 years old. 18 pounds. Yorkie blend boy. Lap dog. Would thrive being your one and only. No apartments or condos as he’s vocal when he hears anything. Good around older kids. Meet Dexter. He just closed his Tinder account, signed up on Match and is looking for a serious relationship. Could you be the one? This friendly little guy is looking for someone that likes affection (he wants nothing more than to be held and have his belly rubbed) and someone that has a non dominant dog or none at all (he’d love to be your only pooch). Dexter would love to be with someone that can help him continue to improve his leash manners – a fenced in yard would be a bonus. Dexter needs an adopter that will be at home more often than not as he doesn’t like to be without his human. He’s fully housebroken. He’d be best in a single family home rather than an apartment or a condo because he tends to express his excitement vocally. If you can see this handsome, scruffy boy sharing his fun personality with you & your family, what are you waiting for? You gotta home, we gotta dog. Fill out an adoption application and let’s see if there’s a match. Dexter is heartworm negative, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for his forever home. His adoption donation is $375.   show less

Maxwell is a 7-year-old, 49-pound Labrador Retriever and Hound blend boy. Calm, sweet, and loyal. Needs a fenced-in yard and a patient adopter who will give him plenty of time to open up, as Maxwell is still adjusting to life in a loving home. Once he feels safe and secure, his adorable goofy personality will shine! Maxwell came to us from a hoarding situation, where he was not given much exposure to the outside world, so a lot of experiences are still new and scary to Maxwell. Maxwell has made amazing strides since being in our care, but he is still a shy guy who prefers to take it slow. We think that’s quite alright, so we allow Maxwell to meet new people at his own pace. Sometimes it can take a bit of time for him to form relationships with people, but once you have earned Maxwell’s trust, the rewards are great: Maxwell is a very gentle, quiet and attentive dog, who absolutely adores the one he’s deemed to be his person. He’ll follow you around the house and always finds a spot to rest nearby. The perfect companion that he is, Maxwell is happy to just sit quietly by your side, as he is not a big fan of getting cuddles. Maxwell’s favorite pastime is playing with his dog buddies! He just loves the company of other large, playful dogs - especially females - so it would be ideal if his forever home would have a confident dog to be Maxwell’s dog buddy and show him the ropes in his new environment. If you don’t happen to have a playful female dog, don’t worry — Maxwell gets along just fine with the two low-key male dogs in his foster home, too. Just teeny tiny dogs aren’t really Maxwell’s thing, well.... we’re pretty sure he sometimes confuses them with squirrels.  When he’s not playing with his dog buddies, Maxwell loves to nap on cozy dog beds, roll in the grass, or best of all play fetch. His eyes light up at the sight of a tennis ball! He is also a big fan of snack-time and responds very well to food and positive-reinforcement based training in general. Maxwell is a bit of a homebody and not always up for daily adventures, so we think he would do best in a calm home with a securely fenced-in yard as he is a flight risk.  Most of all Maxwell wants what every dog wants: a safe and comfortable home where he can be loved for who he is. We know that reading all of this may sound like a lot, but Maxwell promises you he’s worth it! His foster mom promises you that you simply cannot help but fall head over heels for this sweet dog once you get to know him. Think you would be able to give Maxwell the loving home he deserves? Fill out an application and let’s see if it’s a match. Maxwell is housetrained, heartworm negative, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Maxwell is ready for his forever home and hoping that his perfect forever family is out there! His adoption donation is waived.  show less

THE SCOOP: Sawyer is a 5 year old, 10 pound, Yorkshire Terrier blend boy. He hasn’t had the easiest life and is just trying to figure out his place in the world. Not housebroken. Making progress on the leash. Not crazy about other male dogs so would be best in a home as an only dog or with a non dominant female. Good around older children (12+) and good in the car. Sawyer is not much of a barker. He’s playful, eager for attention and will enjoy sitting on your lap. Seems to be learning quickly by observing the actions of his foster sister. Do you have room in your heart and home for this special boy? Fill out an adoption application and let’s see if there’s a match. Sawyer is heartworm negative, neutered, chipped, up to date on vaccines and ready for his forever home. Adoption donation $350. SPECTACULAR FACTS:  Spidey is a 7 year old, 9 pound Miniature Maltese Poodle blend boy.  He hasn’t had the easiest life and is terrified of everything.   Spidey has a tendency to bite out of fear and is a flight risk.   Requires an experienced Adopter.   Needs a very stable environment with an unconditionally loving human to teach him the world doesn’t have to be a bad place.  Great with dogs.  Does not yet know how to walk on a leash and needs you to teach him the wonders of pleasant strolls, while relaxed enough to enjoy the new smells. Are your senses tingling for Spidey to touch your heart for a lifetime of love and companionship?  Fill out an adoption application and see if there is a match.   Spidey is heart worm negative, up to date on vaccines and ready for his forever home.  He needs to be adopted locally so he can complete his vetting – teeth cleaning, neuter and possible surgery -- which is included in his adoption donation of $275.  PLEASE NOTE: This is one of the dogs recently rescued from the “breeder” case.  These pups have lived their whole lives outside in rabbit hutches so they will need someone with patience, understanding, and lots of love to give. Stella is a 3yr old, 12lb Shih Tzu girl. This sweet girl hasn’t had an easy life before now. Needs a home with no kids, and with a securely fenced in yard. Although she’s learning how to trust humans again, she has a very kind disposition and is not aggressive at all. Being outside seems new to Stella, as she is most comfortable indoors, cozy in her own dog bed. She is fine with cats around, and loves other dogs. She enjoys covertly stealing their dog toys and bringing them back with her to her bed! Stella has an abnormal back leg and because of this, she walks a bit differently and can not jump, but she gets around fine. She would be best in house without stairs. Stella needs a patient adopter who can take their time with her to gain her trust and show her what it’s like to be in a loving, safe home. Fall in love with this adorable face already? Fill out an adoption application and let’s see if it’s a fit!  Stella is heartworm negative, spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and ready for her forever home. Her adoption donation is $350.
