Not quite Pokemon, but the next best thing! Mostly Muttz Rescue's Allister is a Super Sweet boy with a Pure-White coat and a happy grin. This 60-pound Lab mix is 5-years old. At age 5, he has learned a few things - top of the list is patience. This boy is gentle, quiet, patient, and sweet. Allister is not so keen on other males dogs, but females are ok by him! This Lab boy know how to entertain himself when needed. Allister is strikingly handsome, and has great manners. He doesn’t jump, or pull on a leash. Allister is often described as calm and laid back. Arrow likes other dogs and enjoys playing with them, but no cats for this little guy. He would do best with older considerate children, since little ones would make this sweet and shy boy nervous. Babish is an 11-year-old hound mix who came to Pennsylvania from a West Virginia coal mine. She was born at that mine and was the only survivor of her litter. She spent a long time without a human family of her own and learned that some people are unkind. Then Babish was rescued! This beautiful girl with a soft tri-color coat is learning that most people are kind to dogs. She is a loving dog who craves human attention. Babish is very affectionate toward those she trusts. She is housebroken and loves being outside. In an outside environment, she is tolerant of other dogs. Inside the house, she is cautious with other animals. Understandably, she needs time to warm up to people. Babish needs an adult only home. 10/19 Dash (Bagpipe) is still looking for a home that will provide him patience and guidance.  This home must not have children in it.  He does not like them.   He also may not be an apartment type of pup.  The hound dog mix in him likes to be quite vocal at times.   He is still a tad timid and will not be good in a busy environment setting.     He is however, loving and goofy with his family and other dogs.    If you can provide him with stability, patience and continued training then send in your application to adopt/meet him.      8/6/19 - Outgoing, spunky, sweet, athletic and loveable.... all of these words describe this pup.   He is eagerly awaiting his own home.  Foster homes are fun but forever homes are better.   Recently he got to hang out with one of his litter siblings and they had a blast.    Bagpipe (Dash) is a sweetheart.  He is housetrained, knows many tricks/commands and he's ready to move into your home/hearts.    He's in a home with 7 other dogs of assorted sizes and is a friend to them all.    7/14/2019  Bagpipe (DASH) checking in.    He's been a wonderfully fun boy to foster.  He is sweet, mild mannered and now that he learned that visitors no longer pose a danger to him being abused, he's eager to meet more.    This kid needs plenty of exercise as he's still a puppy in a big boys body.   No felines for him and no small children please.     One of his favorite games is "chase me".   He wants to have a toy and you chase him for it.   He loves to retrieve balls in the yard as well.   He's completely house trained as well as crate trained.         5/30/2019 Through no fault of his own, Bagpipe is back in rescue again.   He's a large boy with a timid nature.  He's great with other dogs and is hoping but it's not a deal breaker - to find a home with another dog in it.    He is crate trained, takes treats very gently from you and he's fun.  He's goofy, loves to give out slobbery kisses and likes to be near his humans when they're home.     He's been meeting all sorts of new people in foster and is becomming eager to meet more = is that you?    This Lil Bruiser is Bagpipe. Becks is a pale pooch with a lot of personality. She is a 5-year-old perky Pittie-girl with dalmatian-like spots on her ears (they're so cute!). Her ideal home would be an active one. She would love to be a running/jogging partner or a hiking companion. Some of us think she might be part fish because she loves to swim. But there are few things Becks Loves as much as playing ball. That is her absolute favorite! This beautiful girl is a very people-oriented dog and she loves children. When she finally takes a break from being her usual active self, she becomes a super snuggler. Loving you and having you love her is at the core of Becks. She loves with her whole heart. Having fun and loving you is what Becks is all about. She is housebroken and crate-trained and does well with basic commands. She is smart and food motivated, so a good treat will nudge her to excel at any given command. She is amazingly comfortable in the car and excellent on a leash.  Becks is a terrific best friend. Because she is so into her people, a home where she is the only pet would be ideal. He came into one of our Southern affiliate shelters as a stray, with a gash on his cheek and an abscessed tooth. He is now receiving medical care for those issues. This is one sweet hound! What a great personality! Bullet is a 7-month-old Hound puppy boy with a tri-color combination coat. It is mostly Black with white spots and ticking and some Tan thrown in there for good measure. This Boy is quite a Looker. Bullet weighs 45 pounds. Bullet has a lovely disposition. He walks great on a leash, occasionally lingering for an extra sniff or two, but of course he is a hound! This sweetie knows some very basic commands, but rember he is a puppy, so he still can learn more. He is treat motivated, which is helpful while teaching those new tricks! Bullet does well with other dogs, but no cats for this pup. Dorothy is a love bug with the sweetest hangdog eyes. She wants to be next to you, preferably with her head on your lap or even better, curled up in your lap despite it being a physical impossibility. She loves to chill on the couch or dog bed, excelling at curling into the tiniest little circle imaginable. She also loves to romp in the grass, and she loves a good roll on her back. Dori loves children of all ages and while needing slow intros with other dogs has lived in a house with small dogs happily. She might be happier with a slightly larger dog to play tug with on a more even playing field. She has the cutest butt wiggle and her tail goes all the time. She is a little clumsy in a sweet way but recently learned to use stairs! Eddie found himself alone at the emergency clinic in WV after being hit by a car. Unfortunately, his pelvis was injured but after spending some time recovering, the break is healed and he is getting around quite well now. He is ready to find his forever home! Now that Eddie is feeling better he's got lots of energy to burn! He might be over year old but he's still very much a puppy and will need help learning some manners. As you would expect from this breed mix, this guy really loves to work! He's mastered sit, and he's working on "stay", "leave it", and "wait".  He's also learned to take his treats "gentle".  He's a quick learner!    Eddie's medium length fur and beautiful coloring will make anyone fall in love with him! He is very sweet natured. He is crate and house trained, good with kids (probably best with older kids) and loves to play with other dogs.  He is just looking for the perfect family to scoop him up and give him all their love! Don't let his picture fool you, this Cool Little Guy with a stub tail is only 35 pounds and that makes him the Perfect size for almost any home. Freedom is about a year old and he doesn't much like getting his picture taken. Trust us when we say it is the only time he looks like he does in these pics. Most of the time he is Sweet and Playful and Happy.  Freedom is great with other dogs and looking for an active home. When he starts to play you might get the impression he is high energy but he actually ramps that boost of energy down once he is going for a while. She is nervous around all new people but given time she will warm up to her person. She does okay with other dogs but does not like them in her face. She does best with calm, laid back dogs. And on that same note she would do better with older children who would understand her boundaries. She was left at her home when her family moved out and she waited and waited for them to come back but they never did. She was loyal to them even though they abandoned her! Glory is about 45 pounds and is good with other dogs of all sizes, but she might be a little bossy at first with some dogs. This gentle girl has been known to nap with cats, so that gives you an idea of her temperment. Glory is not only beautiful but she has a very sweet and happy lab-like disposition. She loves people, including children. She walks nicely on a leash, rides politely in a car, and is house broken. Gypsy is a very misunderstood girl. She has good reason to be distrustful of people. She was never really showed any kindness or love but she is amazingly a very well behaved and loving girl, at least once she gets to know you. Gypsy is a 8-year-old heartworm positive lab mix who made the long trip with the others from SC. You may remember her puppies, the G litter, who needed to be bottle fed so that she could begin heart worm treatment. Gypsy was spayed and began treatment in her new foster home. Gypsy is a shy but sweet loving girl on the path to be as healthy as she is beautiful. She is less stressed but a little nervous around men - we are working on that with her. She just really wants to sit in your lap and be loved! Gypsy is all done with her heartworm treatment, she is healthy, happy, active and eager to find her forever. She is still a little nervous with anything new and very nervous with men. After all this girl has been through before coming into rescue who could blame her for being nervous. We guesstimate that she will be somewhat bigger than her 15 pound mother but still generally Small. Each pup in this litter weighs between 3 and 5 pounds now. This Cutie Pie is Hup. He and his siblings were born on June 26. They are Kissable and Snuggly little babies. Hup's Mom is thought to be a Chihuahua/Feist mix but the dad is unknown. We guesstimate that he will be somewhat bigger than his 15 pound mother but still generally Small. Each pup in this litter weighs between 3 and 5 pounds now. This Beauty is Juniper. She is a 2-year-old Pibble Darling who has had a tough beginning to life. Juniper was taken in from a cruelty case. When she was siezed, she was only 15 pounds. She has gained some much needed body size since she has been in a foster home and is now up to 25 pounds. She could probably use about 5 pounds or so yet to be at her best weight. Juniper is going to need a patient adopter with a somewhat quiet home. She is fine with low-key dogs but does not do well with anxious dogs or high energy dogs. She is food reactive so she should be fed separately from any other pets in the home. She might be reactive to men she does not know. This Girl needs a home with a fenced yard. The most important thing for Juniper is that her adopter understand what she has gone through before coming into rescue. It may take a long time for her to totally trust.
