About Bagpipe

Adoption Fee: $350

01/10/20  We've really been stepping up our training game with this big guy and he's been passing all of his test.   We re-introduced him to children and he accepted them happily back into his life.  So, if you have children aged 10 and up we will now consider your home for him.   Bagpipe is a pretty easy keeper, he goes with the flow of things here at our home.   He is nervous while off of the property though and we will continue to work with him on that.    He met a new vet team last week and at the end of our visit he even gave out a few kisses.    He's really shaping up into the confident dog we knew was there.    No cats though as his prey drive for birds and squirrels is pretty strong.  He did meet a kitty at the vet and he was incredibly rude with her and then remained too focused on finding her again.    Apply to meet him today.

12/01 Bagpipe aka DASHY Doodle Doo checking in. I've really been learning so much in my foster home. I really have learned a lot from my pack mates here and I need a home with another dog to set me up for continued success. I'm a playful boy who's play style can be a little rough and rowdy at times but I'm also a supreme snuggler with my foster peeps and pack mates. NO YOUNG KIDS FOR ME - NO EXCEPTIONS. I just cannot handle them, as the last family allowed them to be too rough with me. I'm seeking a home with a fenced in yard and someone who won't take me out into busy public situations  I'm probably not going to be an aparment type of pup - I'm very vocal, true to my hound dog mix nature, and lot's of places don't appreciate the song of my people. While I can now handle meeting peeps inside my foster home the outdoor world is still too overwhelming for me. I also have a fear of trash trucks driving by me - silly right, but for me it's beyond scary.  Foster Momma says that I can over come this too with the right family.  I really would love someone who will continue my training with a professional or if they have the needed knowledge to keep socializing me in a safe manner, but it's not a deal breaker. Is that you??

10/19 Dash (Bagpipe) is still looking for a home that will provide him patience and guidance. This home must not have children in it. He does not like them. He also may not be an apartment type of pup. The hound dog mix in him likes to be quite vocal at times.  He is still a tad timid and will not be good in a busy environment setting. He is however, loving and goofy with his family and other dogs. If you can provide him with stability, patience and continued training then send in your application to adopt/meet him.

8/6/19 - Outgoing, spunky, sweet, athletic and loveable.... all of these words describe this pup.  He is eagerly awaiting his own home.  Foster homes are fun but forever homes are better.  Recently he got to hang out with one of his litter siblings and they had a blast.    Bagpipe (Dash) is a sweetheart.  He is housetrained, knows many tricks/commands and he's ready to move into your home/hearts. He's in a home with 7 other dogs of assorted sizes and is a friend to them all.

7/14/2019  Bagpipe (DASH) checking in.    He's been a wonderfully fun boy to foster.  He is sweet, mild mannered and now that he learned that visitors no longer pose a danger to him being abused, he's eager to meet more. This kid needs plenty of exercise as he's still a puppy in a big boys body.  No felines for him and no small children please.  One of his favorite games is "chase me".  He wants to have a toy and you chase him for it. He loves to retrieve balls in the yard as well.  He's completely house trained as well as crate trained.

5/30/2019 Through no fault of his own, Bagpipe is back in rescue again.  He's a large boy with a timid nature.  He's great with other dogs and is hoping but it's not a deal breaker - to find a home with another dog in it. He is crate trained, takes treats very gently from you and he's fun. He's goofy, loves to give out slobbery kisses and likes to be near his humans when they're home. He's been meeting all sorts of new people in foster and is becomming eager to meet more = is that you?

This 3-year-old Brown Beauty is Belle. The petite pittie pooch is 50 pounds and is an absolute dream. She looks to her people for love and reassurance because Belle is a bit shy. This may explain why she is a cuddler extraordinaire! There is one thing Belle likes as much as hugs - toys! She loves toys. She loves to chase a toy or ball thrown for her but has not quite mastered the ‘return’ of fetch yet. So cute! Belle is comfortable both inside and outside. She walks well on a leash and loves to greet people in her neighborhood, though she is still very shy when initially meeting them. Her confidence has been building while in her new foster home. In fact, Belle has been attending outdoor martial arts classes with her foster mom. It is really helping her learn to trust people. It does take a bit longer with the men. While in foster, Belle has begun to learn about stairs, and she is really starting to get the hang of them. Occasionally, this little darling will nibble on a pillow or blanket near her face but her foster redirects the behavior, working to help Belle learn what is off limits. She enjoys leaning against her peeps, and likes a good belly rub. Belle is just such a love. She is a terrific dog and she is ready to be a part of YOUR family. Do you have a soft spot in your heart and your home for Belle? You can apply to adopt Belle at www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/.  Additional adoption criteria:  Any children in the home must be 12 years of age or older. show less
