Volunteering with Ruff Road Revival involves interaction with animals that may be frightened, stressed, injured, untrained, or unpredictable. Risks include, but are not limited to:
- Dog or cat bites or scratches
- Exposure to zoonotic diseases or parasites
- Falls or physical injury
- Property damage
- Allergic reactions
- Injuries during transport, events, or animal handling
Ruff Road Revival cannot guarantee the temperament, health history, or behavior of any animal.
I voluntarily assume ALL risks associated with participation.
Release of Liability
I release, waive, hold harmless, and discharge Ruff Road Revival, its directors, officers, volunteers, foster homes, veterinary partners, transport partners, sponsors, and event hosts from any claims arising from volunteer participation, including injury, illness, death, or property loss, except in cases of proven gross negligence.
Volunteer Conduct
I agree to:
- Follow rescue safety instructions
- Use approved animal handling practices
- Never remove, promise, or transfer an animal without rescue authorization
- Report bites, injuries, or escapes immediately
- Represent the rescue profesionally
- Respect confidentiality of adopters, fosters, donors, and rescue records
Failure to follow rules may results in immediate removal.
Medical Responsibility
Ruff Road Revival does NOTE provide medical coverage for volunteers. I am responsible for my own medical expenses.
Rescue Authority Policy
I understand that only authorized Ruff Road Revival leadership may approve:
- Adoptions
- Placements
- Events
- Public commitments
- Rescue decisions
Volunteers may not independently schedule events, promise animals, or represent rescue decisions.
