Volunteers are the backbone of animal rescue organizations, and Ninja’s Woof Haus (hereinafter referred to as NWH) extends its heartfelt gratitude to all who offer their time, energy, support, and dedication to the care of our working breeds. Your commitment makes a significant impact, helping to save lives and provides a second chance for these remarkable dogs.
NWH recognizes that our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique perspectives. We hope to unite everyone with the shared goal of giving these dogs the opportunity for a better life.
As a volunteer for NWH, you act as an agent of the rescue in all activities and interactions. It is essential to protect the reputation of the organization. This policy outlines the general guidelines, restrictions, and expectations for volunteering with NWH, ensuring that all communications and actions reflect professionalism, respect, and alignment with the organization’s values and mission. Additional policies may exist for specific volunteer roles.
This policy applies to all NWH volunteers who represent, speak, or act on behalf of the organization and its dogs. It covers all interactions in public settings, media communications, and engagements with the community.
Professional Conduct: Volunteers must maintain a professional and respectful demeanor in all engagements related to NWH. Thoughtfulness, consideration, and supportiveness are expected. Volunteers should strive to educate others, foster positive relationships with the public, and adhere to NWH’s strict anti-harassment and anti-discrimination policy. Accuracy: Volunteers are responsible for sharing information that is accurate and not misleading. When in doubt, verify information with the appropriate board member or contact leadership@ninjaswoofhaus.org before speaking or acting on behalf of NWH. Confidentiality: Volunteers must respect the confidentiality of NWH’s operations, board members, adopters, fosters, and other volunteers. Confidential, sensitive, or personal information may not be shared without proper consent.
Volunteers are strictly prohibited from using Ninja’s Woof Haus name, branding, or affiliated materials for personal gain or external promotions. Volunteers must not engage in conduct, online or in person, that could damage the reputation of NWH or its dogs. This includes making unauthorized public statements, conducting fraudulent fundraising efforts, or endorsing political causes on behalf of the rescue. Animals may not be brought into NWH without prior approval by board members. Volunteers may not perform any tasks outside their designated responsibilities unless explicitly authorized by a board member. All animals within NWH are the property of the organization and may not be held without consent.
This policy will be reviewed and updated regularly to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness in promoting NWH’s mission and values. For questions or clarifications regarding this policy, contact the rescue directly at info@ninjaswoofhaus.org.
