Personal Information

URGENT

If you found NEWBORN kittens (or a single newborn), text 412-979-9855 IMMEDIATELY for advice on what to do until assistance can be provided. Newborn kittens cannot survive long without their mothers and a lot of people make mistakes out of concern and fear.

Please continue to fill out the application fully.

Additional Information Needed

Fill out each section completely. Failure to provide details and answers to questions may result in you not receiving a response.

Please read all of this!

This form is for cats and kittens that are considered FERAL (not domestic, not able to be socialized). These cats have likely been outside for quite a while or were born and survived outdoors and on their own. They are wild and can be aggressive. These cats are not someone's pets. They will typically run away when you approach them. However if they feel threatened, they may lunge at you. There may be friendly cats and kittens mixed in here as well, and in most cases, they can be kept by the rescue and adopted out. We will assume physical custody of the friendly cats and kittens during this time.

Please email clear photos/videos of the cat(s) to info@furallkittys.com, our Facebook messenger or text them to 412.979.9855. Please also send photos of the areas where the cats usually spend their time. Photos and videos help us to get an idea of the cats conditions, how many there are, and a feel for the area that we will be trapping. Please provide your name in the text and why you are texting.

Fill out the form with as much information as possible so that we can come up with the best solution for the cat(s). Failure to provide requested and details information may result in you not receiving a response to your request. There is no identified time frame offered for a response after sumitting this form as we receive numerous requests per day and are all volunteers.

Fur All Kittys (FAK) does not promise or guarantee that we will be able to assist you with your needs. When we cannot help, we will make every effort to provide additional resources or contacts (with no guarantee on outcome). You may be asked to assist with the trapping process and transport of these cats. We are a volunteer run organization. We have other obligations such as jobs and familes and our time is limited.

There is a suggested donation with any request. All of the cats need care and cost money to vet, spay/neuter, feed and shelter. Donations can be cash or some type of needed items. We know that ferals are not your cats, but they are not ours either and we must find a way to cover costs associated with taking them into the rescue. None of the vet services we obtain are free to us and we pay office and other fees just like any person does.

Please put your initials.

Your Part in the Process

A volunteer will be available to guide you through this process should your assistance be needed. Somene will explain how to set traps and all necessary supplies will be provided to you (traps, food, trap covers, pee pads, etc). In cases where you are more than a short distance away from the rescue, a volunteer may not easily be able to go back and forth to your home or the trapping location. In these cases, your help will be needed to set and watch traps and to transport cats to the rescue. Drop off hours may be limited and you may need to be able to keep the cat at your location for at least several hours and possibly overnight.

Times and dates will be arranged prior to the trapping beginning and a volunteer will stay in contact with you throughout the duration of the process.
Weather plays and important role in trapping. The environment/area is also an important factor. A volunteer will go over the safest ways to set and monitor traps with you, and you will be expected to follow the advice provided.
By signing below, you indicate your agreement to the following stipulations: - I will follow the procedures explained by the FAK volunteer so that I can maintain safety of the cat(s) and myself as well as anyone else involved in this process. - I will not leave traps and other supplies unattended. - I understand that if I damage or lose any items lent to me by FAK that I will replace the items or provide monetary compensation to cover the cost of the items. - I understand that if I should fail to adhere to the procedures provided to me by FAK volunteers, that they will disengage immediately and I will not be eligible for assistance from this organization again in the future. - I understand that FAK volunteers may need to pause assistance for any urgent matters that arise withing their organization. (FAK contact will communicate promptly should anything be necessary) - I will alert the FAK contact as soon as I am aware of any issues on my end that arise that would interfere with the trapping process.

Money, food, litter and other necessities are always appreciated. Occasionally community members that are also aware of the cats are willing to donate so it never hurts to ask others!

Cat Information

Please provide as much detail as possible on the cats in question. We need to know what type of situation we are dealing with. Several times, there are kittens involved and that requires different planning as we do not return small kittens back outside and will instead adopt them out when they are old enough. However, we will often need their mother to continue their care until they are old enough and this requires knowing which cat is the mother. It is very important to have an idea on numbers and health of the cats ahead of time if possible.

Please select all that apply.
❗EXAMPLE Color options: Black. White. Orange. Brown tabby: stripe, swirl, or spots. Gray tabby: stripe, swirl, or spots. Calico (orange, black and white). Dilute Calico (orange, gray and white). Tortoiseshell (BLACK with orange throughout: NO WHITE). Dilute Tortoiseshell (GRAY with orange throughout: NO WHITE). Torbie (mix of tortie with tabby stripe sections)
Please select all conditions that you have seen if there is a group of cats. You do not need to specify which has what.
