Felius Social Media 'Re-Home' Courtesy Post Request

Thank you for reaching out about rehoming your cat. If our rescue is at capacity, that doesn't mean we still can't help. We are happy to make courtesy social media posts ONCE PER MONTH for responsible owners looking to re-home their feline(s). Please note that multiple cats from different people may be included in the same post. If you are interested in being considered, please complete this form (ONE PER CAT REQUIRED) and a Felius representative will reach out if any additional information is needed. 

Submission to the Courtesy Rehoming Program is subject to the following eligibility requirements. All criteria must be met prior to approval unless an exception is granted by Felius management.

1. Ownership or Abandonment Status
   The submitter must be the legal owner of the Animal(s) or the Animal(s) must be reasonably determined to be abandoned. In cases of suspected abandonment, the submitter must demonstrate reasonable efforts to locate a prior owner, which may include posting on lost pet social media platforms and verifying the absence of a registered microchip.

2. Care and Custody
   The Animal(s) must remain housed, supervised, and cared for by the submitter or an identified caregiver at all times. Felius shall not provide housing, foster care, medical care, or supervision for Animal(s) listed through this program.

3. Injury Liability Certification
   You certify that the Animal(s) has not bitten or scratched a human or another animal within the past 10 days. You also certify that Felius shall not be responsible for any damages, losses, or other injuries to person, pet, or real or personal property caused by any Animal(s) that you are attempting to re-home.

4. Accuracy of Information
   The submitter is responsible for providing complete and accurate information regarding Animal(s) health, behavior, history, and temperament to the best of their knowledge. Felius relies solely on information provided by the submitter and does not independently verify such information.

5. Adoption Process Responsibility
   The submitter assumes full responsibility for all communications with prospective adopters, including screening, meet-and-greets, reference checks, and final placement decisions.

6. Fees and Financial Transactions
   Felius does not collect adoption or rehoming fees for courtesy posts. Any rehoming fee, if applicable, is determined, collected, and managed solely by the submitter.

7. Liability and Responsibility Acknowledgement
   You certify that you are still solely responsibility for, and agree to release, indemnify, defend, and hold Felius, and their respective officers, directors, members, employees, representatives, agents, volunteers, other foster volunteers, and assigns, past or present, (“the Indemnitees”) harmless for any and all damages, losses, and other injuries (including legal fees, costs, and expenses), to persons, pets, or real or personal property arising out of, associated with, or as a consequence of rehoming your Animal[s].

Compliance with these requirements does not guarantee approval of a courtesy post. Felius reserves the right to approve, deny, remove, or modify courtesy posts at its sole discretion in alignment with organizational policies and animal welfare considerations.
