Volunteers are the lifeblood of Rescue Dogs Rock NYC. Every volunteer is crucial to helping us save more dogs and find them loving forever homes. To join our community of committed volunteers with a passion for rescue, please fill out this application. Kindly allow 7-10 days for us to respond.

Most RDR volunteer roles can be done remotely and require:

a computer, a Facebook account, the ability to use/learn Google sheets
a commitment of 1-4 hours several days a week
a customer service mindset: reliability, responsiveness, sense of urgency
great organizational skills
excellent verbal and written communication skills
team player mentality

VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT

This volunteer agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into WHEREAS, the volunteer has voluntarily contacted RDR NYC and has expressed an interest in roles that may involve working directly with dogs in the care and custody of RDR NYC. In consideration of RDR NYC’s agreement to allow the volunteer to view and/or interact with such dogs, the volunteer hereby, for his/her heirs, his/her personal representatives, and him/herself represent and warrant as follows:

1. The volunteer is fully aware of the risks that dogs pose and has elected voluntarily to view and/or interact with one or more dogs in the care of RDR NYC. The volunteer knowingly assumes all risks that exposure to dogs may pose, including but not limited to serious bodily injury and/or death.

2. The volunteer hereby waives, releases, discharges, holds harmless and promises to indemnify and not to bring suit against RDR NYC, its directors, officers, volunteers, staff, all other agents, attorneys for any of the referenced parties and any other parties acting for or on behalf of the referenced parties from all rights and claims which the volunteer has or which may hereafter accrue to the volunteer and from any and all damages which may be sustained by the volunteer directly or indirectly in connection with, or arising out of, the volunteer’s exposure to such dogs.

3. I understand that RDRNYC does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.
