Pet Information

Thank you for being a responsible pet owner and getting your pet spayed and neutered.  Giles County Humane Association can work to make an appointment at a lower cost spay and neuter clinic and help provide transportation to and from that appointment. 

Cats cost 65.00 and Dogs cost 75.00 unless the dog weighs over 75 pounds or is in heat- see below         

DOGS 75-99 POUNDS ADD $35.

 DOGS OVER 99 POUNDS ADD $50.00                                                            

 DOGS IN HEAT ADD $25.00

Please provide the following information which is necessary to make  the appointment. If you wish for a rabies shot that can be provided for $10.00.  If you do not have the means to pay the entire cost  or have multiple animals we may still be able to assist. Please fill out the form and indicate your situation at the end.   Once your application is submitted you will receive an email with payment instructions to secure the appointment.  The spay and neuter clinic we currently use is currently located in Huntsville Alabama.  

FERAL CATS:  
Feral cats must be in a live trap.  It costs 35.00 to spay/neuter and give rabies to Feral cats-  these cats will receive an ear tip to identify that they have ben fixed.  A bravecto ( flea, tick, mite prevention) that lasts 3 months can be added as well for a total of $45.00.  

  1. Please remember we are a volunteer organization, we volunteer our time to help pets and citizens with pets. 
  2. Appointments typically will be several weeks away as we have a large volume of requests

We need an estimated weight of the pet for the clinic
Age of animal- animals typically need to be a minimum of 12 weeks and kittens must weight at least 3 pounds to be spayed or neutered
Please give description of color, pattern of the pet (black, black and white, merle, tan and black, tortoiseshell, brindle, tabby etc.)
Please provide any additional information about the animal's health or temperament/behavior we should know for the animal and volunteer's safety
Any other pertinent information regarding the animals personality, medical history, or concerns/questions
Do you wish for rabies to be given for $10.00
DOGS ONLY :Do you wish an E-collar to be sent home for $10.00- this is a collar for the pets neck that prevents/discourages licking or mouthing the surgery site. It can prevent gapping of the incision or infection. Please monitor the surgery site for drainage, redness, or edema. no colllar is available for cats through the clinic

For Grant purposes do you make less than $30,000 per year. Despite income we will assist financially with spay or neuter. This question is purely for grant and demographic information
