I understand that the TNR program is only available for feral/un-owned cats, and I certify that to the best of my knowledge these cats are un-owned. I accept any liability that may occur to the trapping and treatment of an owned cat and agree to waive any right to bring suit versus Hands N Paws Animal Assistance and Wags N Whiskers, their staff, volunteers and facilities resulting from the trapping and treatment of an owned cat.
I recognize the risks cats face during handling, anesthesia, and surgery and hold , Hands N Paws and Wags N Whiskers, their veterinarians, staff, volunteers, and facilities harmless should a cat experience complications, injury, escape, or death.
I understand that trapped animals may be dangerous and I agree not to open any trap or handle any animal unless specifically instructed. I release Hands N Paws and Wags N Whiskers, their veterinarians, staff, volunteers from any liability for any damages or injuries that I may incur or cause while trapping, confining, transporting or releasing these cats.
I understand that all cats will be "ear tipped" by the surgical removal of the tip of the left or right ear while under anesthesia so they can be easily identified as having been sterilized and vaccinated.
As deemed by a veterinarian to be severely ill or injured, the cat may be humanely euthanized without prior notification to caretaker. *Attempts to reach the caretaker will be made.
I promise to see that following surgery, spayed/neutered cats will receive food, water, and necessary shelter to the best of my ability and as is reasonable. I commit to caring for these cats to my best ability and will secure a substitute caretaker if possible if I can’t. I acknowledge the possibility that once released, some cats may not return.
I agree to stop feeding the colony 24-48 hours prior to trapping day, if instructed by Hands N Paws and Wags N Whiskers volunteers or staff.
I understand that trapped pregnant cats may be spayed at any stage of pregnancy, up to and including full term.
I understand that there is a waitlist, and that the order of the waitlist may change due to circumstantial factors. I understand the order of the waitlist is decided by Hands N Paws and Wags N Whiskers, their staff, and volunteers.
I agree that all unowned cats, once in the possession of Hands N Paws and Wags N Whiskers, are the property of Hands N Paws and Wags N Whiskers until such time that they are returned to the trap site/caretaker. I also understand that Hands N Paws and Wags N Whiskers, and their staff and volunteers, have the right to retain any unowned cat in their possession for any reason (usually adoption or to allow nursing kittens to wean).
I agree and have answered yes to the above.
