It is understood that the Weimaraner Rescue of Texas ("WRT") does not buy or pay for the dogs it accepts into its program. This is a service to help place Weimaraners in a new home when their present owners can no longer care for them.
I certify that I/we am/are the sole rightful owner(s) of the dog described above, free and clear of other interests and have the full power and authority to surrender this animal for adoption. I/we certify that this dog does not possess any dangerous or vicious propensities, and that I/we have not willingly concealed information about the dog that might indicate such propensities. Furthermore, I/we have fully disclosed any training or behavioral issue that I/we am/are aware of. I/We also certify that there are no unpaid veterinary bills or claims on said dog.
Representations and Warranties
I/We hereby freely, and IRREVOCABLY transfer complete ownership of the dog described above to WRT for placement and adoption. I/We understand that by signing this Surrender Agreement, I/we am/are forever surrendering all my/our rights, title, interest, and ownership of the above described dog. I/We further understand that all future decisions regarding the placement and care of this dog will be made solely by WRT. It is my/our understanding that WRT will do what it determines is in the best interest of this dog. I/We also understand that if this dog is later found to have such an unpredictable temperament as to be unsuitable for any placement, or if the dog's quality of life is substantially impaired, in the opinion of a competent veterinarian, by an irreversible, painful condition, then euthanasia may be considered as a final alternative to adoptive placement.
Surrender of Rights
I/We will allow my/our name and phone number to be given to the new owner of this dog, so that the new owner may contact me/us if he/she wishes, to gain any further information on this dog.
