Owner Surrender Request

Once we have received this form our Foster Intake Coordinator will contact you via email as soon as possible. Be sure to check your spam folder if you do not hear back within a few days.

Please remember that completion of this form is in no way an agreement for accepting your surrender(s), it is simply a request and we will do our best to accomidate as possible. Unless the cat(s) was/were formerly from SACR, then we will always take them back if that is the ultimate decision and you are not willing to continue ownership.

This is not for use with STRAY PETS, if you have found a stray please fill out the "Stray Surrender Application". This is also not a form for temporary placement as our organization doesn't offer this. I understand that I will be contacted via email asap, sometimes this can be a day or several days. If this is an emergency please contact your local shelter as we are not available 24/7 and may not have the capacity quickly.

I understand that not all owner surrenders are accepted. Acceptance is based on available foster homes and the current capacity of SACR.

I understand that there is a high volume of owner surrender applications and SACR's priority are those most as risk (shelter cats/kittens). Given this information, if you fail to follow through when contacted by an SACR volunteer your spot will be forfeited and we will not accept your request for surrender.

*I understand that Hunter's Kitten Lounge is a branch of SACR, but NOT a place to drop off or dump cats/kittens. If this action is done, authorities will be called and action taken.

I understand that if accepted, there is an owner surrender donation requested per cat/kitten AND all previous medical records must be provided at time of surrender if available.
