Both fluffy and cow were rescued by PAR (along with approx 15 other dogs) from an extreme hoarding case. Both dogs arrived at our house on Sunday evening and we have been getting to know them better over the past few days. Cow was named for his spots, but the name is appropriate in another way as he cowers each time we get close. Cow is a love bug at heart, but still so scared and cautious. He wags his tail with super high speed each time I walk by him and will approach me wanting to be pet, but then runs off scared when I put my hand out. fluffy is also scared of people and hides under a table and barks at us when we approach him. He is still skeptical of us and won’t approach us on his own. Both dogs love to hang out in the open crate and it appears to be their safe place. When they are in the crate, they are very calm and don’t run away from us (even with both doors wide open). We can pet them without a problem and even pick them up. Over the past two days, I’ve tried to pet and cuddle cow and fluffy as much as possible and they really seem to love the cuddle sessions (especially cow). Even after two days, both dogs will still run away from me if they aren’t in the crate. So, each day it seems like we are taking two steps forward and one step back. Nevertheless, we are definitely making lots of progress and I think both dogs will be absolute love bugs once we have earned their trust. I was told that fluffy is around 6 years old and cow is around 2 years old. Although both dogs were living outside previously, they have both adapted well to living inside and appear to be housebroken as they haven’t had any accidents. Both dogs are obviously very scared, but luckily neither dog has shown any signs of aggression even when I pick them up. The adoption fee is $200 which includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. If it is not a match we will file your approved application and you can wait till you find the perfect match. show less
