Buster is a super sweet dog who loves to be loved on when he’s relaxed. During family time, he’s right there at your feet, chillin’ alongside you. However, prior to coming into rescue he was mainly an outside dog, so he can be very skittish. He will require patience and understanding as he clearly has a fearful streak. He is afraid of doors and is hesitant to come through so will need time to adjust to your home. He is mostly housebroken, but will need consistency with this, as he continues to learn to be an inside pet. He loves treats and takes them beautifully. He does very well with other dogs and has indicated that he would benefit from the companionship of another young dog who has the energy to play with him. He’s still learning to walk on a leash, but is doing well so far and really enjoys his walks. Because he is still learning to walk on a leash, we will require a fenced yard for Buster. He does well in the car once he settles down from the excitement. He is crate trained, goes in the crate easily and sleeps well though the night. Overall, Buster is an awesome, friendly dog. But he will need training and patience as he learns to move past his fears and become a well adjusted companion Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!
