Howdy!  I’m Maddie! I'm a 2 year old female boxer mix. If I had to describe myself in one sentence I’d say, “I’m just happy to be here.”  Luckily, I get to tell you more than that!  Since arriving in Colorado, (I came all the way from Texas) I’ve been enjoying the company of everyone I meet.  Since I can’t shake paws with people, I opt for a nice and steady tail wag.  It’s how I say hello!    My perfect fur-ever home would be with a family that will love me for a lifetime.  I will do the same for them!  I’m an adventurous girl and would enjoy going for hikes or even just walks around the neighborhood- I walk well on a leash!  If my new family would like to stay inside and watch movies, well, that sounds great too!  I’m potty-trained and will sleep in a doggy bed at night.  When people give me a treat, I am very appreciative and so gentle when accepting a delicious goodie!  Hope to meet my new family soon! ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN********** If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Ruff, ruff!  Ahem, I mean HELLO to you, potential adopter who may not speak “dog”.  No big deal if you don’t of course, all that really matters is you love dogs, which means ME! Some kind hikers found me wandering alone in the Rocky Mountains, and as you Colorado people know, it’s not a great idea to be alone in the mountains without even a water bottle! Though uncertain at the time, these people convinced me to follow them down the mountain and, long story short, took me to Ho-Bo Care.  Overall, I’m a really fun guy, but I have been known to get excited and jump up to say hello when I meet new people. Trust me, if you walked a mountain-mile in my paws, you’d be excited to meet others, too!Recently, I spent an afternoon with a pup specialist who wanted to learn all about me.  She observed me meeting strangers as well as unfamiliar dogs. I really love people, but other dogs can make me nervous.  Mind you, I’m not rude to these dogs, I’m just hoping to be the pride and joy of my human forever-family rather than make new furry friends.By the way, did you know it’s the start of football season?  Did you also know that I looooove football, especially the Broncos?  I’d love to hang out by your feet while the game is going, and would eagerly chase a ball any other time of day. Of course, it you want to go to a game one day, I’ll patiently wait for you until you gethome -- just leave the game on for me.  I’m crate trained, and quickly settle down for a nap so PLEASE GIVE ME A CHANCE.  I’m a great dog and would love being part of your family. ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN********** If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application.
