Do you love your morning coffee stops? Count me in, I love my doggy java! Hi, my name is Juliet and I am a 3-year-old, fawn boxer mix.  I’m the sweetest, most timid girl, but you can’t blame me after hearing about my story.  I’ve had a crappy hand dealt to me during my short life. I was dumped in a field in Texas, left to fend for myself. Then I made my way to Ho-Bo Care, along with my brother.  I was absolutely terrified in the shelter but made my way to a foster family.  It took me some time to come out of my shell and learn to trust people again. I eventually learned how to dog and was adopted by an amazon new mom in December of 2020 only to have her pass a year later so I found myself back at Ho-Bo Care with my foster family. I’m again on the hunt for my forever home.  I’m very shy and hesitant with new people so I need time to trust you. I get a lot of my confidence from the company of other dogs so I’m looking for a home with another dog.  I’m fostered with other dogs and co-exist beautifully. I get along with all types of dogs: small, big, young, or old.   Many people seek out that “instant connection” when adopting a new dog but that is likely not to be the case when you first meet me so I need a home that will give me the time and patience to continue to blossom. In time, I will get there. Once there the love I will have for you will be unparalleled.  If you are willing to give me the chance I deserve, apply to meet me. ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN********** If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Lucy never starts a day without a smile   I am a 4-year-old gorgeous, boxer mix with a silky black (tuxedo) coat. I have a fun-loving and curious personality.  I’m wonderful with other dogs of every size and very accomodating of different play styles. I love spending time with my human friends too and am very well behaved in the home. I don't jump up on people, but will take every opportunity to nuzzle my head into your lap. I know my basic obedience cues, know where to go potty, and am not destructive. I can pull a little on leash when I get excited, but just say my name to get my attention and I'll be right by your side!  I've been told girls as good as me don't come along every day, so don't miss this opportunity! Apply to meet me and be my new best friend!  I’m excited about life and it shows but you will have to apply to find out for yourself. ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN********** If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Ruff, ruff!  Ahem, I mean HELLO to you, potential adopter who may not speak “dog”.  No big deal if you don’t of course, all that really matters is you love dogs, which means ME! Some kind hikers found me wandering alone in the Rocky Mountains, and as you Colorado people know, it’s not a great idea to be alone in the mountains without even a water bottle! Though uncertain at the time, these people convinced me to follow them down the mountain and, long story short, took me to Ho-Bo Care.  Overall, I’m a really fun guy, but I have been known to get excited and jump up to say hello when I meet new people. Trust me, if you walked a mountain-mile in my paws, you’d be excited to meet others, too!Recently, I spent an afternoon with a pup specialist who wanted to learn all about me.  She observed me meeting strangers as well as unfamiliar dogs. I really love people, but other dogs can make me nervous.  Mind you, I’m not rude to these dogs, I’m just hoping to be the pride and joy of my human forever-family rather than make new furry friends.By the way, did you know it’s the start of football season?  Did you also know that I looooove football, especially the Broncos?  I’d love to hang out by your feet while the game is going, and would eagerly chase a ball any other time of day. Of course, it you want to go to a game one day, I’ll patiently wait for you until you gethome -- just leave the game on for me.  I’m crate trained, and quickly settle down for a nap so PLEASE GIVE ME A CHANCE.  I’m a great dog and would love being part of your family. ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN********** If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Hey there! My name's Nutmeg, Meg for short. If someone asked me my 3 favorite things in this world it would be food, food, and ehm... Food! I'd perform song and dance if it meant I'd get a treat. Speaking of dancing, that's something I'm best known for; I tap dance when I get excited!  I'm a smart girl and quickly adapt to new house rules. I'm potty trained and can be left with free roam of the house as long as you don't mind me napping on the couch while you're gone. I do have a fair amount of energy for a 9 year old and most people tell me I don't act my age at all. Zoomies in the yard is one of my favorite pastimes and if I've got a toy to toss around, I can entertain myself for hours.  I get along well with most other dogs and have even played host to other adoptable dogs while in my foster home. I like to be the lady in charge and luckily most other dogs seem to be okay with that! I'd love to find a home of my own. Please apply to meet me!  ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN********** If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. How’s it going? My name is Reed and I’ve been told I’m one of the cutest, smartest and sweetest pups around! I’m on the search for my furever home. Just to be sure I find the home that’s the right fit for me and my new family, I’ll tell you some things about me and you can decide if I’m meant to be yours!  I've lived with lots of other dogs and do great with all of them. I've lived with young playful dogs and old grumpy dogs - I prefer the playful type, but am polite and respectful of my elder pals. It’s not a dealbreaker if you don’t have another pup in your family, but it sure would be great if you did! I consider myself pretty adventurous and think a family that enjoys being out and about would be perfect. Maybe we could go for some hikes?! I’m working hard on learning to walk well on a leash but could use some more practice before I can say I’m perfect at it. My foster mom and dad have been teaching me all kinds of things. They say I learn very quickly. I already know some of my basic commands and am working on some of the trickier ones like ‘wait’ and ‘down.’ I’m also potty trained (unless it’s reaaaaally cold out) and crate trained.  Since I’m so darn smart, my foster mom thinks I’d do really well with a family that can give me a job. That might mean using my sniffer to help find objects hidden around the house (or even digging through a snuffle mat), playing chase with my fur sibling or just learning more tricks! I’ll be honest with you, since I’m so young and am just starting out with homeschool, sometimes I can get distracted and think it’s funny to be stubborn. I need a home that will be patient and will understand I’m still learning. I promise I’m not being mean if I don’t do exactly what I’m asked 100% of the time- I don’t have a mean bone in my body!  If I had to say exactly what I’m looking for in a family it would be that they would be kind, fun, energetic and loving. ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN********** If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application.
