Meet Adeleine! We are calling her Addie a Plott Hound Mix. She isi a new arrival. How cute is she with those four white sox! Adeleine may be shy when you first meet her, but she warms up when you baby talk her or give her a few minutes. She is great witih other dogs, happy and so sweet. Angie is dressed up for Independence Day letting you know that she wants to be in a loving home by then. She’s a beautiful, soft, fluffy girl with pretty hazel eyes.She is a two-year-old mostly black Border Collie mix that weighs 36 pounds. She came in as a stray and was picked up and taken to a local shelter..  She’s got a whole lot going for her. For one thing she’s very alert and wants to know what’s going on around her. That’s characteristic of a Border Collie indicating she’s probably very intelligent. Angie occasionally jumps on you softly just as a reminder to let you know that she’s there and she wants some affection. She is very sweet and even gives kisses. She sits for treats and takes them gently. She’s very well mannered and wants to please. She was somewhat interested in toys, but they didn’t hold her interest for long. Angie is friendly, sweet, and easy-going. She walked well on a leash. She did her business when she got into the yard. She will be good with gentle dogs like her. . Angie is the whole package. Meet Archie! He is a male 3.5 month old, 34 lbs Great Dane/mixed breed pup. Since leaving the shelter, he's been a well-behaved boy who's thriving with his foster family. He sleeps in his crate each night and is fully potty trained. He is sociable, eager to please and affectionate and gets along well with other dogs AND with cats.  Archie would be a good fit for a family with school-age children (although he's sweet and friendly, he is a puppy and will grow to be a large dog, so babies/toddlers might be overwhelmed by his size and energy). He 'd also be a fun companion for adults who like an active lifestyle - he loves to be outside, taking walks and playing fetch. He had a broken right leg but has received vet treatment and is doing great! No further treatment is expected, and he walks, runs, and plays normally now. He's very smart and learns quickly. So far, he knows "sit," "down," and "paw" (holds up his paw to shake). He will cover you with kisses, turn on his back for chest and tummy rubs, and he loves to take naps with his head and paws draped across your lap. He is just adorable and deserves a chance out of the shelter and in a loving home. Ashe is a sweet energetic young pup. He loves to interact with people and other dogs. His coat is so soft it makes snuggling so much sweeter! We are starting to work on potty training and crate training. Crate training is harder as he still wants to be close to his brother but we want to help him be a smart , independent pup ready to experience life with a forever family. His ideal family would be an active family and possibly another dog to help use some of that extra energy up. Axel is a wonderful boy. He is very smart and likes to be challenged- learn new tricks and commands. He would do great with agility training and just training in general. His perfect home would be structured and his active pack would include him in their fun activities. Axel is confident and high energy and is looking for an owner who matches those qualities. He’s good with kids- but older kids might be best.  He is dog friendly but would be best either as an only dog or with a mature, confidant, well mannered dog. He gets along with cats but does like to play with them so would have to be the right cat. He is 18 weeks old and weighs 32 pounds. Babe Bella was found on the streets starving and alone and when they stopped to check on her, she immediately came to them. The poor girl is just bones and was flea infested. But they took her home anyway and bathed her trying to free her of the flea infestation. They fed her and she ate every drop. The next morning she was friendly and happier, tail wagging to have a savior. Finder took her to check for a microchip and there was none. Babe Bella has a black cape and black markings around her eyes including a perfect heart on her face near her left eye, white knee socks all around.and a white underside - very interested marking and a sad, lonely face. She only weighs 48.2# and appears to have had multiple litters of puppies. Her teeth are worn, broken or missing which makes me curious about her background - bait dog or backyard ornament on a chain. She is calm and sweet and appears to get along with other dogs. We are going to get her fully vetted and hopefully find that other than starving that she is healthy. She will need a home where she can experience humans as caring, loving, and available. She is friendly with all the dogs she has met in the foster's home and with the family. Stay tuned for more and perhaps corrected information as we get to know her and get her checked over by a vet. Meet Bailey!  Bailey was picked up and brought to a local shelter as a stray.  The Dog Scanner app suggests some interesting breeds in her mix:   Border Collie, Aussie, Kromfohrlander, Nederlandse Kooikerhondje.  Whatever her breed, she is a a tail-wagging sweetheart, gentle and calm and yet lively.  Bailey is friendly and absolutely happy to receive loving attention.  When first taken out of the shelter she was only 40lbs and just skin and bones, however she has finally gained weight and at a healthy 50lbs and her coat is soft and smooth.  She is highly adoptable and wants to be a member of a loving forever family.   She's taller than she looks in the pictures and is absolutly beautiful! Bailey has been living in her foster home with 3 other dogs, big and little and loves to play!  She enjoys her chew toys and likes to steal them from her foster brother!  She also lives with 1 cat, who she likes to sniff at but mostly leaves alone.  We have 3 children ages 6-11 that adore her and she loves them so much!  Baily needs a home with another dog sibling to play with and lots of attention from her human family and kids would be great too!.  She loves belly rubs and snuggles!  If interested in this beautiful girl, fill out an application with Cody's group.   show less

Bailey Type: Sheppard MixAge : 4  Bailey is our sweet 4 year old German Sheppard mix. She is roughly 60 lbs and loves to play with all types of toys. She is is the sweetest girl that just wants to be near you (and probably stand on your feet) all the time. There's no such thing as too much love with her. She has a great loving personality and is relatively calm. She listens well and isn't destructive at all. She is good with any animal really. Bambi was dropped off at a vet and the owners never came back for her.  They let us know and we were happy to take her into the rescue.  She is a sweet young girl that is good with children and other dogs.  She is a happpy girl that needs some groceries and a happy, loving home.. Someone witnessed Bart and another small dog being dumped in the road. The people were kind enough to take care of them and reached out to Cody's Friends Rescue. Bart is with a foster and shares the house with other dogs and cats. He loves to be next to his foster mom when she is sitting on the couch and loves sitting on the couch period. He plays with the other dogs in the house and also the foster mom's kitten which he loves to play with. The situation he came from is unknown but it is obvious that he wasn't treated well. He is presently learning how to tolerate a leash and to eat dog food out of a bowl and to not wander over to other dogs while they are eating. Working on potty training. He does sleep through the night in a kennel but at the moment it has to be where he can see you. The foster hasn't had him for long but he is a barker and may not be ideal for someone in an apartment. Basil was found as a stray.. She’s a wire-hair Terrier mix, approximately 2 years old, and weighs around 45 pounds. She loves affection and spending time with her person, enjoys walks/runs around the neighborhood, and playing fetch outside in a fenced yard. She gets along with most other dogs and cats with proper introductions; but if she is an only pet, she will LOVE getting all the attention.
