Hi there! My name is Atticus and I have been a Cody's alum since I was only 6 weeks old. I have come back into the Cody's family because my previous adopters did not understand my need for structure, boundaries, and training. I am back with my previous foster mom and dad and they tell me they love me every single day! They are doing their very best to find me my final forever home and we are wondering if that's you! A little bit about me! I am around 60lbs and may be a Shepherd/Carolina Dog mix. We haven't had my DNA tested, though, so let's just call me pure love. I am a bit of an introvert, so some people might think I'm aloof - but really I'm a huge softy who loves head scratches, belly rubs, and gentle kisses. I sometimes snuggle, but I actually like to have a little bit of personal space, so would love to find a fellow introvert to share my life with! I was returned due to reactivity around my previous male adopter, but I went to 3 weeks of training and had NO problems with the many male trainers who put me through my paces. I went to a board & train that specialized in reactive dog training and I learned how to Heel, Sit, Down, Place, and Stay. I can actually lay in place for hours at a time, believe it or not. (Dont tell the other dogs, but I'm pretty sure that I'm the best trained dog in Cody's AND I have a certificate to prove it). I would do best in a home with no children/teenagers and no cats. I'm really not a fan of those little furballs. I am dog friendly but prefer small or female dogs. I can be a bit territorial with other male dogs my size sometimes. I am super active, so would be a wonderful companion to anyone looking for a running, hiking, activity partner! I am fiercely loyal and will make you feel safe when I'm around! I do need a calm environment where boundaries are set healthily. I don't like to disappoint, and sometimes if someone is being very loud or making aggressive gestures, I will think they are going to hurt me and I react.  I truly am a wonderful dog with soulful eyes and I deserve more than anything to find the very best home for me. I deserve a forever home and my foster family is committed to finding me that home. Is it you? Could you be the one?  If you have questions about me, please Apply at codysfriendsrescue.com show less

Foster sought  now for pair of siblings.  Ella is a spunky and adventurous puppy. She is very playful and when she is not tumbling or running around with her sister, she enjoys playing with toys. For being only 9 weeks old, she is very clever. She is learning basic commands (sit and come here), has gotten used to a collar and is slowly learning to get comfortable with walking around the house led by a leash. Ella will be available for adoption at the end of November. She is ready to be loved and embraced by someone that can help her by enforcing boundaries. Her first several weeks of life with her foster included interacting with a toddler and was without issue. While Ella is okay to be handled and picked up when she is initiating/ reaching for you, she can sometimes be stubborn and sensitive about getting picked up unexpectedly or while her focus is elsewhere.  When Ella isn't playing and bouncing around, she loves getting her ears scratched and cuddling up to her human or sibling. She needs someone who can be patient and continue targeted training with her to correct these occasional reactions. When Ella isn't playing and bouncing around, she loves getting her ears scratched and cuddling up to her human or sibling. She is absolutely adorable and is so ready to start her life with her furever family.     Applications are at https://bit.ly/codys_adoption_application. Foster sought now for pair of siblings.  Ryder loves exploring and discovering new places. She is as happy and as sweet as can be and loves to curl up in your lap to take a break from play and sometimes when she starts to get sleepy. She is very playful and when she is not tumbling or running around with her sister, she enjoys playing with toys. For being only 9 weeks old, she is very well-mannered and smart. She is learning basic commands (sit and come here), has gotten used to a collar and is learning to walk around the house led by a leash. Ryder will be available for adoption at the end of November. Ryder does well with other dogs and young children. She makes for the most perfect companion and would be an amazing addition to anyone’s family.   No job is too big for Ryder. She is an adventurous female pup. She loves human snuggles, but also likes to explore on her own. If there's hidden spot, she will find it. She is one of the biggest from her 10-pup litter. Ryder has a beautiful stance and looks like she has tan socks on her feet. She also has tan eyebrows that she uses to adorably say "What?" when you catch her exploring.   Applications are at https://bit.ly/codys_adoption_application. Sadie is an adorable little girl full of energy & zest. She is very curious about everything around her and loves to investigate. True to her breed, she is loyal, active, loving, and extremely intelligent. She would love someone who could be there with her most of the day- she promises to be quiet & not in the way, she just wants the companionship. She likes nothing better than cuddling in your lap after an active playtime.  Sadie is just turning 4 months old the end of November,  is approx 18 lbs, and should be be a small to mid size dog when grown. She has a beautiful mixed short coat of many colors and distinctive markings. She gets along well with cats and dogs of all sizes, and will be a great family member. She even likes to swim! Sadie is working hard on her house & crate training. She sleeps thru the night and knows her basic commands. She will want a well fenced backyard that she can run in. Since she can be vocal when she wants to get your attention, an apartment would not be appropiate for her. She will want an active family that has the time and desire to invest in continuing her training and helping her to be the best family member she can be.    Applications are at https://bit.ly/codys_adoption_application. Hi! My name is Brinkley, Brinks for short. I was saved from east Texas where me and my siblings were kept in a chicken coop the first 5 months of our lives. We didn’t have much interaction with humans and when we did – it must have been bad.  Even with my past, my foster mom says Im sweeter than honey. I have a foster Pomeranian brother that I love sooooo much! I LOVE being around other dogs and would love to have a furry brother or sister and really I need one in my new home.. I love to snuggle with foster brother non-stop. I have just learned how to play with toys and I love them so much!  Everything is good and new to me!  Foster mom said I was scared at first but am really coming out of my shell these last two weeks. She said something about me and couches and potatoes. I am not hyper like most puppies… so far…. I just like to lay on the couch with my foster brother mostly. I also love my foster neighbor and give kisses to him through the fence. Hes a little poodle. I love all fur friends I meet and would do great with dogs big and small. I even got to go to a slumber pawty with foster moms doodles and everyone loved me! We played all night!  I am potty trained and go into my crate every morning when foster mom leaves for something called “work”. Sounds boring  I am not rough, so I would do great with kiddos. I am very submissive and love tummy rubs.Ideal home: Fur sibling and lots of love from my human! Backyard is a bonus but right now I live in a townhome and do great there! I am a little shy at first but once I get to know you I will be good..I promise... show less
