Taquito was originally found in the city of Ontario during a storm, sitting in the middle of traffic. A good Samaritan picked him up and searched for help. After an extended stray hold through MHR, Taquito is now ready to find a new family of his very own.  He is one of the sweetest seniors our rescue has seen. We dont have an estinated age but he is definitely up there. He does have restrictions with his vision but it doesn't let it stop him from exploring and being the sweet cuddle bug he is.  He enjoys spending time with his human and has done amazing with other dogs, cats and LOVES children that know boundaries and keep his tiny size in mind. (Same goes for large dogs). *If you're seeing the profile, Animal is AVAILABLE. Trooper is a real trooper, of course that’s how he got his name. He was found wandering the streets for a few weeks before he was finally caught in a lovely persons backyard. He was understandably very timid at the beginning but once he gained our trust he started to show his true personality! Trooper does get nervous about new house guests but once he sniffs them out and they give him a treat he becomes their best friend and will nudge you for more pets. He was pretty underweight when we got him and that is something we are still in the process of improving but he’s come a long way. He is a little over a year old and is neutered as well as up to date on his vaccinations. He gets along great with my 2 dogs, one is a husky male and the other is a boxer female. It is unknown if he’s good with kids or cats. He is a very mellow dog so i can imagine he’d warm up to kids and become their best friend if someone was willing to give him the chance. He is like any other pup who needs love and someone who can invest in training. Trooper is potty trained and knows the command sit but still gets pretty excited so he doesn’t sit for too long lol He is crate trained but i will say he’s not a fan of being alone so he will howl and cry for a bit after he’s left, i do think him having my pups in their kennels next to him makes him feel better. I have been working with him on a leash, he isn’t a puller that we’ve witnessed so far but could use some training on paying more attention to his walker. He loves dog toys and is known as the shoe thief in our house but he never ruins them. He does get spurts of energy but at the end of the day he just wants to be cuddled up next to you.   *If you're seeing the profile, Animal is AVAILABLE. Wilma is a beautiful boxer mix at approximately 6- 7 years young. Wilma is a playful pup who loves toys, especially squeaky tennis balls. While she is not a fan of sharing her toys with others she will let you throw a ball for her to fetch. She is not very fond of the felines, they seem to cramp her style. She is fond of other pups, especially her shelter kennel mate of 4 years Trinity  (she's also available for adoption, ah hem). Don't let her graying face fool you! Miss Wilma has plenty of energy and is proud to show it. She loves adventure and having space to stretch her legs. After spending so many years in the shelter she revels in her freedom. Wilma also thrives on love and attention. She craves it. Wilma loves close contact with people.  Wilma gets so excited that she tends to get the zoomies. We think it is because she is appreciates the attention after spending so much time in the shelter and being let down by previous owners.  Wilma does have some seperation anxiety and does not like being left alone for very long.  She will be a total couch potato if you let her. She does great with other dogs of different sizes and would do very well in a home with another dog companion. Wilma deserves a forever home and family where she will be loved and cherished for the rest of her life. So if you are looking for an adventurous, playful, cuddly companion and you do not have any kitties in your home then look no further cause Miss Wilma is the one you've been waiting for.   show less
