Curly Sue is a 2-3 year old, 20lb,  little Terrier mix. Curly Sue was one of 27 dogs who were confiscated in a case in New Mexico.  There were too many dogs in the home to responsibly take care of all of them, and they continues to reproduce.  They couple who had all 27 were older and had let their situation get out of hand.  When the 27 dogs were confiscated, 8 of the famales were already pregnant.  The craziest thing about this whole situation was, while there were too many dogs to responsibly take care of, they all love people and are social, loving dogs.   Curly Sue is an absolutely awesome little girl.  She is a dog who will make herself at home right away.  Curly sue is good with dogs, cats, and kids.  She is incredibly loving and affectionate.  There is really no way to describe how amazing Curly Sue is, just from words.  She is truly a one of a kind dog and brings so much joy and love to everybody to meets her.  Her big eyes say it all.  Curly Sue would do great in a home with a loving family who will truly love her unconditionally.  She would do great in a home with another dog or as a single dog, and would do good with kiddo's as long as they are gentle with her.   If you are interested in adding Curly Sue to your family, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com show less

Holly is a 4MO, 20lb, Boxer/Shepherd mix..  Holly was dumped at a shelter in rural Kansas.  The shelter she was dumped at has almost zero foot traffic, so no matter how cute or sweet a dog/puppy is, their chances of making it out of the shelter are slim, unless they get the help from other rescues.  We knew Holly would find the best home in CO, so we found her a ride from Kansas.  She has been in foster care for a little while now and is ready to find her forever family! Holly is a goofy, sweet puppy.  She is one of those floppy, clumsy puppies with so much happiness and joy.  She loves to play with the two other dogs in her home and run round around the back yard with toys.  She is doing well on potty training and doesn't even need to be in a crate during the day anymore.  Holly would do great in a home with another dog to play with or a family who wants an adventure buddy.  While she is not a crazy high energy dog, she is a bigger dog who will need daily exercise and mental stimulation.  She also loves to snuggle and hang out with the doggies during down time.  She could totally be a lap dog if allowed...although as she gets bigger that might be tough!  Holly is a little nervous around new people at first so we will pay for her to get some confidence training through our trainer once she is adopted.  While it is not really an issue right now, or an issue at all for the right family, we would love to see her confidence grow and her become the best of the best dog she can ever be.   If you are interested in adding Holly to your family, please fill out our application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com show less

Vail is an 11 Week Old Pyrenees puppy.  Vail will be a BIG boy.  We know who his mom and dad were.  His dad was a purbred, 110lb Great Pyrenees and his mom was a Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix.  He will probably be about 75-100lbs when full grown.  Vail Mom was one of two females who lived on a farm in Kansas, who were not fixed and has free roam of the farm.  The male Pyrenees from the next farm over (who was also not fixed) actually came over and got both females pregnant.  they two females ended up giving birth to litters a week apart from each other.  All together there were 11 puppies neither family wanted.  We were able to get all 3 adult dogs fixed and move the puppies to CO to find responsible, loving forever homes. Vail and his siblings are typical Pyrenees puppies.  The are fluffy, adorable, loving, crazy, and LOVE to spend time outside.  It has been snowing almost non step since they have been here and they don't care at all! They could run around in the snow all day every day.  At first they were a little nervous around people but they have been incredibly well socialized with their fosters since they are living on a farm with lots of people.  They are goofy, happy little babies!!! These babies will need families who understand large breeds.  They really need active families, families who have another dog to play with, lots of outside time, but also love of love and affection.  Dogs are family and we want them to be treated as such, while also understanding the breed.  We couldn't say enough amazing things about these perfect puppies, they just really deserve their perfect forever families. If you are interested in adopting Vail or one of his siblings, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com show less
