Hi! I’m Alfred! I am built like a linebacker, well, except for my very short legs. I am ready to find a home that will love, cherish and be mine forever. Unfortunately, I was very mistreated before I came to my foster home. Because of that, I am hesitant with new people, so please don’t rush up to me or try to pick me up. That’s definitely not my jam. I need time to trust you and learn that you are not going to hurt me, but when my trust is earned, I will follow you everywhere and wag my tail nonstop so that you can visually see how happy I am. When relaxed, I live for being petted and will roll over for belly rubs, and my happiest moments are when we can sit and watch a long movie together, although at this time, I don’t like to cuddle or snuggle just yet. I do have a heart murmur and heart disease, but I am not on any medication for it. I am really finding my way and will need a home with no dogs or small children (under 8), but I love the company of cats. I love to go on long walks and even longer car rides. I am housebroken and I love my crate. My foster mom has made it a safe place for me, so I hang out in it whenever I’m feeling a little overwhelmed. I will be a great family member, I just need time and patience so that I can continue to blossom, but I will get there! I can not wait to be loved forever!!! Our organization is foster based which means that we really know and understand our dogs personalities as our volunteers live each day in their house with our rescued dogs. Our fosters are available to answer your questions and will give you all the details you need to know about our dogs such as if they are shy, are they outgoing, what is their energy level, are they couch potatoes, love bugs, kissers, lickers, so please do apply and ask our fosters questions - this will ensure you find your pur-fect match in our rescue!
