My name is Felicity. I would love to have a family, but I am very shy and somewhat fearful of humans. I would need a person or family willing to give me time and patience to become comfortable. Right now, I am not the affectionate, social kitty that most people tend to look for, but I am quiet, low key and great with other cats and dogs. I shy away from humans, but I will not hurt you. This may be just how I will be, or I may learn to trust once someone gives me time to bond with them. I am really a gorgeous girl and hope that someone may give me a chance in a more personal environment. My adoption fee is $35.00. In order to meet or adopt me, please complete the online application at RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org An application and home visit/meet & greet are required. A RARE representative (normally the President and/or foster parent(s) will bring the animal of interest to the home in order to ensure the right fit, perform meet & greet and answer any questions, go over vaccination and other vet paperwork etc.. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 4 hours driving distance due to limited resources and difficulty ensuring the right match, especially if there are already animals in the home. **PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption. Please understand that adopting an animal is a lifetime commitment to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care. All fosters/adopters must have a fenced yard or be willing and able to walk on leash for potty purposes. As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property. An application and home visit/meet & greet are required. A RARE representative (normally the President and/or foster parent(s) will bring the animal of interest to the home in order to ensure the right fit, perform meet & greet and answer any questions, go over vaccination and other vet paperwork etc..
