Bridget is a low energy girl who likes sunbathing and napping in her crate or a dog bed most of the day, and migrating to the couch at night for snuggles and pets. She gets the cutest hippy hops in excitement for breakfast, dinner and treats! Her little tail nubbin is always trying to wag. She is a little hard of hearing and seeing but she gets around well, and moves slowly so any bumps don't seem to bother her one bit.  Bridget is fine with other dogs from afar but she gets grumpy when they get in her space. She would be happiest as the only dog in the home. She can live with dog-savvy cats.   Bridget had a cancerous bump removed from her toe and will need scans for the rest of her life to make sure she doesn’t get it anywhere else as a precautionary measure  is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. Copper is a low energy highly intelligent boy. He is potty trained and knows basic commands. He loves any kind of attention and will sit right next to you, patiently waiting for that head scratch or a belly rub!     He would prefer a home with no kids or other dogs. He will need an experienced owner who can provide firm leadership and a lot of structure for him. Q: What is a Benefactor Puppy or Dog and why is their fee higher? Dogs and puppies with benefactor or higher adoption fees are sometimes purebred dogs or other rescue dogs that are in high demand for one reason or another. They are typically quickly adopted, even with their higher fees. Their increased adoption fees allow them to act as benefactors to other dogs in our care that require special medical care and a better chance at adoption. Some dogs spend over a year in our care and require expensive surgeries, heartworm treatment and professional training. Benefactor dogs help support the care of the dogs most in need with Sandy Paws Rescue. To adopt or learn more about: , you must fill out an adoption application. Marigold is the smallest of her litter but is such a spitfire! She’s teeny, but makes up for her small size with her giant personality. She is good with other dogs, curious but gentle with cats, and adores people.  She’s super sassy, and if she had her way she’d be curled up next to her person all day long. She loves snuggling, and her favorite thing is to burrow into whomever she’s snuggling with.  Marigold is up to date on vaccinations and is not spayed. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you).
